This study examines in depth the cultivation analysis of media from social media users. Society or social media users, from the perspective of cultivation theory, are always positioned as recipients of all products in the media. Society is considered as passive spectators who only react to what they see and hear in the media. This research focuses on social media because social media is considered the medium closest to society today. Social media is currently the most strategic place to cultivate society, whether it is about fashion, economics, health, social issues, or politics. Therefore, many people use it for promotions on social media. The presence of digital media or social media provides a unique new phenomenon to be researched using cultivation analysis. This research is a literature review that attempts to view, discuss, and actualize Cultivation Theory. The results of this study explain that, according to cultivation theory, messages in the media can influence society.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami fenomena representasi islam pada masa kampanye Pilpres 2019 melalui media Twiiter dengan pendekatan semiotika komunikasi politik. Teori sekaligus kerangka metode analisis semiotika yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah semiotika Roland Barthes. Semiotika Barthes menggunakan dua tingkat penandaan (two levels of signification). Tingkat penandaan pertama (first level of signification ) juga disebut dengan pemaknaan denotatif. Sedangkan tingkat penandaan kedua (second level of signification) disebut juga dengan pemaknaan konotatif. Data primer bersumber dari media sosial twitter yang dimiliki oleh empat peserta Pilpres 2019, yaitu berupa data visual hasil screenshoot yang berisi pesan verbal dan nonverbal. Adapun data sekunder berupa kajian literatur dan dokumentasi terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasangan Joko Widodo dan Maruf Amin di Twitter merepresentasikan identitas Islam Nusantara beraliran moderat yang identik dengan kelompok organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama. Di sisi lain, Kampanye pasangan Prabowo Subianto dan Sandiaga Uno di Twitter merepresentasikan identitas Islam Konservatif yang identik dengan kelompok alumni aksi 212 dan organisasi Front Pembela Islam. Nahdlatul Ulama adalah representasi kelompok Islam pro satus quo, sedangkan kelompok 212, Habib Rizieq dan FPI adalah representasi Islam oposisi.

Penelitian ini membahas tentang persentase efektivitas komunikasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa IAIN Parepare dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran Hybrid dengan Asyncronous Method. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu efektivitas komunikasi model pembelajaran Hybrid dengan Asyncronous Method berdasarkan proses penyampaian informasi atau materi yang disampaikan oleh dosen dan pemahaman mahasiswa serta interaksi dosen dan mahasiswa menggunakan media pembelajaran. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang berfokus pada efektifivitas komunikasi pembelajaran hybrid dengan asyncronous method mahasiswa dan dosen IAIN Parepare. Total populasi dari IAIN Parepare adalah dosen sebanyak 213 orang dan mahasiswa aktif sebanyak 7.111 orang. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan rumus Slovin dalam menentukan sampel yang akan digunakan. Jumlah sampel dari total dosen dan mahasiswa IAIN Parepare adalah 139 orang dosen dan 379 orang mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Hybrid dengan Asyncronous Method di IAIN Parepare dari perhitungan komulatif mahasiswa masuk kategori sedang yaitu 3.622 dan perhitungan komulatif dosen masuk kategori tinggi yaitu 1.586. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yakni Efektivitas Komunikasi Pembelajaran Hybrid dengan Asyncronous Method di IAIN Parepare dinyatakan efektif.

Communication technology provides functions and dysfunctions for every action, such as cyber phishing crimes, one of which is online fraud sobis (social business) passobis (actor/perpetrator) which is rampant in Sidrap Regency (Sidenreng Rappang). This research aims to analyze the pattern of Edge network relations as well as the role of actors (Nodes). The research used a mixed-method approach to collect data through oral and written communication. Data analysis management techniques used are data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study revealed that the network relationship pattern (edge) of Passobis in Sidrap Regency is One mode by involving all, Directed which indicates that actors are senders, receivers and there are subjects and objects, and Symmetrical, which is a two-way relationship where two actors are jointly involved in the relationship.

One manifestation of the reaction of Indonesian netizens in response to the aggression carried out by Israel against Palestine was the JulidFisabilillah movement which viralized the hashtag #JulidFisabilillah on social media X (Twitter), so that it became a trending topic in cyberspace. This research aims to see the form of the JulidFisabilallah netizen movement on social media, the network of actors who played a role in the viralization of #JulidFisabilillah and what narratives went viral. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research is in the form of online news about the JulidFisabilillah movement as well as secondary data from Drone Emprit Academic, a website analyzing trends in social media movements using big data assisted by AI technology. Data analysis using Social Network Analysis. The results of the research show that the JulidFisabilillah movement provided mental attacks in the form of narratives on social media against pro-Israel groups, which had quite a significant impact. The network of actors who played a role in this movement were Erlangga Greschinov, and Azzam Izzulhaq who was a top Influencer on the X platform who directed netizen attacks on pro-Israel accounts. Mass movements aimed at protesting policies and changing opinions through digital platforms will be an option in the future, therefore it is necessary to provide adequate digital literacy for netizens, especially in Indonesia.

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the framing of media coverage related to the conflict over establishing the Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal Mosque in Bogor City. This conflict attracted public attention because it involved various parties, including the local community, government, and religious organizations. The framing analysis method used in this research is Robert Entman's model, which includes four elements: problem definition, problem cause, moral judgment, and problem-solving. Data was obtained from several national and local media outlets that were selected based on the intensity of coverage and diversity of perspectives. The analysis results show that the media have certain framing tendencies influenced by their respective agendas and ideologies. Some media tend to highlight social and religious tensions, while others emphasize legal aspects and government policies. In addition, the study found that media framing played an essential role in shaping public opinion and people's perceptions of the conflict. The study concludes that a deeper understanding of media framing techniques can help people criticize the information they receive and develop more objective thinking. This study also provides recommendations for the media to be more balanced and accurate in reporting sensitive religious and social diversity issues. Cultural da'wah is one of the priority programs of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership for the 2022-2027 period. The targets of cultural da'wah certainly start from the top leadership to the grassroots. The focus of this research is the digital native generation which is very adaptive to technology and certainly needs to be touched by Muhammadiyah's cultural da'wah. This research uses thelibrary research method. The results of this study explain that Muhammadiyah through its cultural da'wah remains purifying, but does not close its eyes to art and culture. In addition to appreciating art and culture, Muhammadiyah also optimizes da'wah through social media in order to touch the digital native generation. This is evidenced by the content presented adjusting and relevant to the needs of digital natives. The success of Muhammadiyah's cultural da'wah to digital natives leaves a mission to create young Muhammadiyah preachers, so that they can realize cultural da'wah through digital natives for other digital natives.

William Henry Quilliam was a convert who dedicated himself to preaching to spread Islam in England, especially in the Liverpool area. Quilliam's da'wah was fully supported by the Muslim community occupying Britain but only as an immigrant because of its open nature and willingness to listen to criticism. The success of Quilliam's da'wah was even more evident when his da'wah was able to attract the attention of non-Muslims to convert. Quilliam's traditionalist thinking is able to provide good intake to the extremist souls that often appear in British society. This research aims to see how Quilliam's da'wah can shape a change in Muslim identity in Britain as well as the response of the British people to the existence of Quilliam as a convert who is able to preach Islam in Britain. The research method used in this study is qualitative with the type of library research. In addition, this study uses the theory of da'wah agenda setting Maxwell McComb and Donald L. Shaw to explain that the media in da'wah has an influence in shaping public opinion. The results of this study provide evidence that the success of the Quilliam da'wah process is seen from the change in Muslim identity in Britain and the extent of the response of the British people to the existence of Quilliam.

Dalam dekade ini, moderasi beragama menjadi topik pembicaraan yang sangat hangat. Secara khusus, persoalan konflik antar umat beragama dan di dalam umat beragama itu sendiri merupakan salah satu yang mendapat perhatian serius dari Menteri Agama Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. Melalui konsep moderasi dalam beragama, kegaduhan di masyarakat dapat diatasi. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui karakteristik cara dakwah habib husein ja’far dalam menebar paham moderat di kanal YouTube. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data yang berbentuk data primer dan data sekunder. Untuk memperkuat penelitian ini, peneliti juga melakukan studi pustaka / library reseacrh untuk memperkuat teori dan data penelitian. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 5 karakteristik cara dakwah habib husein ja’far dalam menebar paham moderat di kanal YouTube, yaitu, dakwah milenial, toleransi dan moderasi, pendekatan personal, Konten yang bervariasi, dan Dakwah yang bersifat inklusif dan dialogis.

The importance of understanding da'wah rhetoric on social media, especially Instagram, is increasing among Generation Z and Millennials. This study compares the da'wah rhetoric of Ustadz Hanan Attaki and Habib Husein Ja'far in short Instagram Reels videos to understand its application in a digital context. Using a qualitative approach and comparative research, data was collected through observation and documentation of video content. The analysis was conducted by categorizing the videos based on rhetorical themes and identifying similarities and differences in the aspects of ethos, pathos, logos, and delivery style of the two figures. The results showed that despite the differences in style, both managed to combine the principles of ethos, pathos, and logos effectively. Ustadz Hanan uses a sharp voice pitch with a relaxed style, while Habib Husein emphasizes an organized structure with a consistent rhythm. This difference emphasizes the importance of adjusting language style, voice, and body movements to the character of the audience. In addition, both use informal language and Qur'anic verse quotations to reinforce the message. The findings are expected to provide guidance for da'i in utilizing social media effectively, as well as pave the way for further research to examine social and cultural influences on da'wah reception.
