Abstract

This study integrates the Kamal transform method with Adomian polynomials to provide approximate analytical solutions for non-linear fractional differential equations. Since the Kamal transform alone cannot handle non-linear terms, Adomian polynomials are used to decompose these terms. The resulting solutions are compared with those from other methods applied to the same problems. The results show that the solution obtained with the Kamal transform and Adomian polynomial closely aligns with those from other methods, demonstrating the effectiveness of this combined approach. This work emphasizes the strength of the Kamal transform method and Adomian polynomials as integral transform techniques for solving non-linear equations.

Abstract

Traffic Characteristics Research is vital for designing the required geometric features in the roadway. It includes volume of traffic, speed of traffic, and percentage of trucks or larger vehicles like bus to and fro. Traffic characteristics are broadly classified under two types viz: Road user characteristics and Vehicular characteristics. In this paper, we have studied and assess the traffic condition (volume) at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (A.T.B.U), Yelwa campus Gate Bauchi. The volume data was collected using manual volume count. The Traffic Volume assessment data shows that at daily basis between 7:30am to 5:30pm, the average daily traffic (cars, motorcycle, tricycle, bicycle, trucks and buses excluding pedestrians) was 5023 vehicles/day at the gate entrance and 4514 vehicles/day at the gate exit. The traffic flow map is developed and analyzed. From the results of this study it was found that there was no alarming issue from over speeding within the study area, however the higher traffic volume during the peak hour periods may require the implementation of traffic management strategies such as Tidal flow operations. After all the analysis carried out, the solutions chosen were design of a mini roundabout at the main gate to mitigate traffic congestion, eliminate traffic warden and also provide free traffic flow at the main gate intersection and design of a second gate at ATBU fence wall located 850m from Sabon kaura junction to provide easy access to parents bringing their children to international Nur/Pri and Secondary School within the campus and provide safe stopping sight distance and passing sight distance thereby providing free traffic flow.

Abstract

This work evaluates the performance of the YTAP and New Iterative Method (NIM) in approximating solutions to both linear and nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). Through comparative analysis involving exact solutions, numerical tables, and graphical illustrations, the results demonstrate that both methods are highly effective, with YTAP generally yielding smaller approximation errors. Specifically, in the case of a linear PDE (Example 2), YTAP exhibits superior accuracy, while NIM also performs reliably. For nonlinear PDEs (Example 3), YTAP proves to be a robust and efficient method, successfully generating recursive solutions that closely match the exact results. These findings underscore the reliability of YTAP as a powerful tool for solving a wide range of PDEs.

Abstract

This article examines the structures and roles of Islamic education in prayer rooms (mushola), tiny mosques (langgar), and hermitages (padepokan) within the framework of digital change and the educational challenges of the 21st century. This research employs a qualitative approach via a literature review, demonstrating that non-formal institutions have a key role in character development, spiritual growth, and the dissemination of Islamic values in society. Mushola functions as a hub for fundamental religious education and practical worship training; langgar highlights community-oriented Quranic instruction and Islamic studies; whilst padepokan concentrates on profound spiritual growth via Sufism and ethical enhancement. The research indicates that rejuvenating these institutions necessitates the amalgamation of conventional pedagogy with digital innovation to maintain relevance for the younger generation. Consequently, cooperation among government, community, and educational institutions is vital to maintain these entities as adaptable and contextual pillars of Islamic education.
