Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pembelajaran saintifik dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Penelitihan ini dilakukan melalui studi Pustaka atau studi Literatur dengan melihat hasil penelitihan pada jurnal terkait yang tersedia di media elektronik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran saintifik melalui tahapan mengamati, menanya, mencoba, menalar, dan mengkomunikasikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran, munculnya ide-ide kreatif, dan hasil karya kreatif siswa yang beragam. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan penerapan pembelajaran saintifik adalah peran guru yang aktif sebagai fasilitator, ketersediaan sumber belajar yang memadai, dan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif.

Abstract

Membaca buku merupakan aktivitas penting untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan literasi, terutama di masa pandemi ketika pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring. Namun, kemajuan teknologi dan kebiasaan menggunakan gadget telah mengurangi minat membaca, khususnya di kalangan anak-anak. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, mahasiswa Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya di Desa Pasinan, Kecamatan Lekok, telah berhasil mendirikan perpustakaan mini di Musholla Al-Amin. Melalui metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan sarana yang mendukung peningkatan literasi dan minat baca, serta berkontribusi pada perubahan sosial di masyarakat. Perpustakaan mini ini diharapkan menjadi pusat edukasi dan pengembangan spiritual bagi anak-anak dan masyarakat sekitar, memberikan akses mudah terhadap berbagai jenis buku, dan memotivasi mereka untuk terus membaca dan berdiskusi. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dari perencanaan yang melibatkan observasi dan koordinasi dengan ta’mir musholla, hingga pelaksanaan yang dilakukan secara bertahap selama lima hari. Perpustakaan ini dibangun dengan tujuan menjadikan musholla sebagai pusat edukasi dan pengembangan spiritual, selain tempat ibadah. Setelah perpustakaan selesai, buku-buku diidentifikasi dan disusun sesuai jenisnya untuk memudahkan pencarian. Launching perpustakaan mini dilakukan dengan melibatkan anak-anak TPQ, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat baca dan kemampuan diskusi mereka. Perpustakaan ini menjadi sarana penting dalam memotivasi dan mendukung literasi di kalangan santri.

Abstract

Era globalisasi, pendidikan menjadi faktor utama dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dan kreativitas individu. di Desa Balunganyar, Kabupaten Pasuruan, terdapat masalah buta aksara yang signifikan, terutama pada masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah. Penelitian ini menyoroti program pemberantasan buta aksara yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya, menargetkan penduduk usia 35-70 tahun. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pendataan peserta, persiapan media pembelajaran, dan pelatihan baca tulis melalui pendekatan fungsional yang melibatkan tes awal, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Program ini menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan baca, tulis, dan hitung di kalangan peserta, serta memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan baru. Faktor ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya menjadi penghambat utama literasi. Pelatihan ini menekankan pemberdayaan lansia buta aksara melalui keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan mereka secara ekonomi dan sosial. Kegiatan pelatihan, berlangsung selama lima hari, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta, meskipun tantangan seperti dukungan keluarga dan pemahaman tentang pentingnya pendidikan masih ada. Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan keaksaraan mampu meningkatkan literasi masyarakat Desa Balunganyar. Program ini dijadikan kegiatan tahunan untuk memberantas buta aksara di daerah dengan tingkat buta aksara tinggi, dengan meningkatkan partisipasi pemuda untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah plastik merupakan isu dan tantangan lingkungan yang terus menjadi perhatian global. Sampah plastik yang tidak terkelola dengan baik dapat mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan ekosistem, terutama sampah – sampah yang disebabkan oleh limbah – limbah aktivitas manusia. Ecobrick merupakan salah satu upaya penanggulangan sampah dan langkah awal untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dan memanfaatkan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang dipakai yakni participatory Action Research (PAR). Daur ulang sampah anorganik dapat dijual belikan maupun bahan pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini yang dapat membantu motorik belajar dengan beragam kreasi. Pembuatan ecobrick bunga adalah solusi inovatif yang tidak hanya membantu mengurangi sampah plastik juga memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi sekitar.

Abstract

This study explores the role of exemplary Islamic religious education teachers and morals in shaping students’ social behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Waru. Using a qualitative field approach with descriptive-qualitative-phenomenological methods, the findings highlight that teachers significantly influence students' attitudes and behavior by serving as role models. Teachers are not only educators of religious material but also exemplify integrity, noble morals, and responsibility, inspiring students to develop character traits such as integrity, responsibility, and social care. This is evident in vertical interactions with God, such as congregational prayers and dhikr, which enhance students’ spiritual awareness, and in social interactions, characterized by politeness, collaboration, and mutual support, creating a positive learning environment. Supporting factors include teacher integrity, parental involvement, peer influence, and school facilities and regulations that strengthen social behavior development. However, challenges arise from students’ diverse backgrounds and external global influences, requiring concerted efforts to promote exemplification among stakeholders. Ultimately, the role of teachers as role models not only shapes individual student behavior but also fosters a positive school environment and strengthens the school community at SMA Negeri 1 Waru.

Abstract

Implementation of Wordwall Media in increasing students' interest in learning at Jati Agung High School, Wage, Taman, Sidoarjo. This research aims to explore the role of wordwall learning media in increasing students' interest in learning at the high school level. This research uses a qualitative approach with narrative descriptive as the main method. The data collected in this research went through various stages such as classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and several students, as well as analysis of related documents needed in the research. The research results show that the implementation of various and varied Wordwall learning media can help students' learning process and is significant in increasing students' interest in learning. Students show a positive response to the use of technology in this media in the teaching and learning process which can provide a better understanding of concepts and increase student involvement to become more active in the learning process. The implementation of wordwall media in increasing students' interest in learning is in accordance with the theory of planned behavior which believes in the existence of factors that can support behavior and awareness of the strength of these factors such as learning objectives, student characteristics, learning materials, facilities and learning media. From several factors, the author took one of them, namely wordwall learning media. The theory of planned behavior states that a person is said to have learned if there is a change in behavior in delivering material that has been given by the teacher and students provide stimulus in the form of a response. With the presence of wordwall media, students show changes in behavior in the form of enthusiasm for learning. These findings show the importance of appropriate learning media in education to stimulate students' interest in learning effectively. This research suggests the need for improvement in the development of learning media that is interesting and meaningful for teachers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the principal's leadership and work environment in improving the performance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at Parlaungan Waru Sidoarjo Islamic High School. Effective leadership and a conducive work environment are considered two key factors that can influence teacher performance, which in turn will impact the quality of education provided to students. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to all PAI teachers at Parlaungan Waru Islamic High School, Sidoarjo. The research results show that the principal's inspirational and participatory leadership and a supportive work environment have a significant positive correlation with increasing teacher performance. The conclusions of this research emphasize the importance of the leadership role of school principals who are able to motivate and direct and the need to create a comfortable and professional work environment to support the optimal performance of teachers. Recommendations are given to the school to continue to improve the quality of leadership and work environment in order to achieve better educational outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract Education plays an essential role in shaping human resources’ quality and enhancing a nation’s competitive edge. In history lessons, particularly in Islamic Cultural History (ICH), the methods applied significantly influence how effectively students grasp, retain, and connect historical events. In practice, however, many students struggle with understanding history, especially when it comes to arranging events in chronological order and analyzing how different events are interconnected. This is often a result of a traditional teaching approach focused mainly on lectures and rote memorization, which can make the material seem monotonous and disengaging. The objective of this study is to evaluate the timeline-based cooperative learning model in Islamic Cultural History (ICH) at SMA Jati Agung Sidoarjo, and to assess its impact on students’ comprehension and academic performance. A qualitative descriptive research method was used, involving data collection through observations, interviews, and the analysis of teaching documents. The results revealed that implementing the timeline tipe increased student participation in discussions, enhanced their understanding of the relationships between historical events, and had a positive effect on their overall academic results. Thus, the timeline-based cooperative learning model offers a promising alternative to improve history education, particularly in Islamic Cultural History (ICH). The findings of this study could serve as a valuable reference for educators aiming to develop more innovative teaching methods that cater to students’ needs and characteristics. Keywords: Timeline Type, Cooperative Learning, Islamic Cultural History, Learning Outcomes Abstrak Pendidikan memegang peranan yang sangat vital dalam peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan memperkuat daya saing sebuah negara. Terutama dalam pembelajaran sejarah, seperti contohnya adalah Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI), metode yang digunakan menentukan sejauh mana siswa dapat memahami, mengingat, serta menghubungkan berbagai peristiwa sejarah dengan cara yang terstruktur. Namun, di lapangan, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami materi sejarah khususnya dalam menyusun urutan kejadian dan menganalisis hubungan antar peristiwa. Hal ini seringkali disebabkan oleh penggunaan metode ceramah dan hafalan yang dominan, yang membuat materi terasa monoton dan kurang memikat bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif tipe timeline dalam mata pelajaran SKI di SMA Jati Agung Sidoarjo, serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap pemahaman serta hasil belajar siswa. Metode yang dimanfaatkan untuk penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen memiliki hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mengenai penerapan tipe timeline dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam diskusi, memperjelas pemahaman mereka mengenai hubungan antara berbagai peristiwa sejarah, serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar secara keseluruhan. Oleh karena itu, tipe pembelajaran kooperatif tipe timeline merupakan alternatif yang efisien dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sejarah, terutama dalam mata pelajaran SKI. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan untuk para pendidik dalam mengembangkan metode pembelajaran secara lebih inovatif serta sejalan terhadap kebutuhan maupun karakteristik siswa. Abstract

Islamic Cultural History (IHR) has a strategic role in shaping students' morals through instilling moral values rooted in Islamic teachings. This study aims to explore the role of IHR teachers in shaping students' morals and identify effective learning methods and strategies to support this goal. The research method used is a literature review, which includes analyzing various theoretical sources, previous research, and best practices related to IHR learning. The results show that IHR teachers have a great responsibility as material deliverers, and as role models who reflect moral values. Effective methods in fostering student morals include exemplary, mau'idzah and advice, habituation, stories, and punishment and reward. IHR learning also integrates values such as respecting reason, demanding knowledge, avoiding blind taklid, and prohibiting damage, which are relevant to the challenges of globalization. Factors that influence the formation of student morals include the role of the family, student personality, community environment, and media influence. Effective learning strategies, such as technology integration, contextual approaches, and strengthening collaboration between teachers, parents, and communities, can increase the effectiveness of IHR learning. With the right approach, IHR learning can produce a young generation that is intellectually intelligent, and has noble morals and is ready to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Reading ability is a very important basic competency for elementary school students. This research explores the potential of puzzle media as an innovative learning tool to improve students' reading skills. Using the literature study method, this research identifies the advantages of puzzle media, such as the ability to create an interactive, fun and motivating learning experience for students. Various types of puzzles, such as crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles, have proven effective in helping students understand letters, words and sentences in a fun way. The implementation of puzzle media faces several challenges, including limited teacher understanding, diverse student characteristics, and lack of parental involvement. Collaboration between teachers, students and parents is key to overcoming these obstacles. This study recommends teacher training, a variety of puzzle media, as well as parental involvement in supporting learning at home. Further research is needed to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of puzzle media and integrate it into the basic education curriculum. With an integrated approach, puzzle media can be an effective tool in improving students' reading skills and contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
