Abstract

The study aims to know the application of Disaster Education at the institutions studiesespecially in disaster prone areas. The type of research take a descriptive qualitativestudy through observation, interviews and analizing document as a method of collectingdata. The collected data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman techniques, throughdata reduction, display data, and a deduction. The Research took place in RA muslimatnu 1 wonolelo village sawangan district magelang regency. This research took this placedue to has a high risk of Merapi volcanoes that range 5-7 km to the summit of theflaming mountain. The results of the Research indicates: 1) the mechanism of thedisaster education management in ra muslimat nu 1 wonolelo hasn't been carried out inaccordance with the disaster educational guidelines. The institution has not establishedthemselves as one of the disaster education developers in the curriculum. 2) the materialof disaster education presented is a set of points that are considered important, whilehandling children's reactions was only by giving understanding and giving children asense of secure. 3) the implementation of the integration Disaster Education in thecurriculum and learning plan documents as well as an assessment of Disaster Educationhad not been carried out. 4) The inhibiting factors for the implementation of disastereducation include learning media is still a bit . The effectiveness of disaster educationhas not been carried out effectively, but in this research indicates that the institution hasbeen an effort to apply disaster education in every learning activities.

Abstract

The cause of low character is the education system that emphasizes intellectualdevelopment rather than character development. Efforts in character education forstudents are by inculcating character through habituation. This study aims to describe andcritically analyze the Cultivation of Character Through Habituation at SDIT Nurul HudaPurbalingga. This type of research is field research or field research where researchers godirectly to the field to obtain data and information related to the research conducted. Theactivities carried out were time discipline, practicing 3S and kissing the teacher's handwhen the child shook hands with the teacher, morning tahsinul qiro'ah, dhuha prayer,praying in congregation, asking permission, eating according to etiquette, not eatingsnacks outside school, and other. The implementation of character planting throughhabituation is carried out through 3 stages, namely the stage of knowledge (knowing),implementation (acting), and habituation (habit). The creation of a conducive atmosphereand adequate facilities also support the process of implementing character through routinehabituation.

Abstract

The parenting style applied in the dormitory tends to be authoritarian or centered on onefigure only. Through this coaching style, it is hoped that students will obey and develop inthe direction expected by the Islamic boarding school. The authoritarian parenting styleaffects the condition of students living in Islamic boarding schools when compared to otherparenting patterns such as permitive and democratic. One of the prominent influences onstudent discipline. Therefore, caregivers must familiarize students with a series ofboarding school activities and obey the applicable regulations. Strategies to achieve thegoal of disciplining students, among others, are through the example of their caregiversthrough advice, guidance and ta'zir (punishment). Therefore, it is very interesting to takea study on the pattern of parenting held at the Islamic Islamic Boarding School NurulHuda Purbalingga. Because the number of students reaches 1,200 students.This research method uses a qualitative approach, with a field research model.Researchers went directly to the pesantren to dig up data and information throughobservation and interviews with related parties, such as the head of the foundation, mudir(kiai), and the student body or caregiving department, then the results were analyzedusing descriptive analysis. This research was conducted at the Islamic Boarding SchoolNurul Huda Purbalingga, Mutawashitoh son unit.The results showed that the Islamic Boarding School Nurul Huda Purbalingga, especiallythe Mutawasithoh unit in its care had been managed well and neatly, from planning,organizing, monitoring and evaluating. The pattern of parenting organization in MutiqNurul Huda is that a mudir (kiai) gives parenting tasks to the principal, then the principaldivides the tasks to the curriculum section and the santri section to carry out these tasks.Kiai is a figure who is always followed and used as an example by his students. A Kiaimust have strong management and leadership knowledge in parenting. So that thecharacter of the students can be formed in accordance with the vision, mission and goalsthat have been proclaimed.The pattern of santri in nurturing students is to always provide direction before theactivity begins, provide training and assignments to students, always direct students tofollow and obey all existing regulations, always be a role model for students and create aconducive environment for student learning.In the care of the students of Mutawasithoh Nurul Huda, there are factors that supportand hinder. Among the supporting factors are the figure of a kiai, adequate humanresources, a dormitory system that makes it easier for students to care for students and acomfortable and clean boarding environment so that students can study well. Theinhibiting factor is the problem of funding. Many guardians of students are late in payingtuition fees, so that it affects the smooth accommodation and funding of parentingactivities.

Abstract

This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The study aims toknow the effectiveness of phonetic methods in improving the English skills of elementaryschool students. Language plays a very important role in our daily lives, to communicateideas to others. Language skils are the basic ingredients for everyone to expressthemselves starting from the feelings, desires, opinions, and needs of each individual.The more language a person knows, the easier it is for him to communicate.Understanding English must be solidified to students as an international language. Thestudy was based in the thought that students should be speaking English in dailyinteractions in the school language program. Because of this, the need to learningpronunciation, vocabulary and grammar in English learning is essential for improvingstudents language skills, students should study the pronunciation, vocabulary, andgrammar as much as possible to establish good communication with other students.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student activity in Indonesian language subjects through theapplication of the Role Playing method. The research method used is Classroom ActionResearch (CAR). The subjects of the study were the second grade students of SDN 2 Gowak,totaling 10 students consisting of 4 male students and 6 female students. The resultsshowed that the activeness of students increased from the first cycle and second cycle. Inthe initial data, there are no students who have a very active category, students with anactive category are 10%, a moderately active category is 30% and a less active category is60%. After taking action in cycle I with the Role Playing method, the activity increased.Students in the very active category are 10%, the active category is 20%, the moderatelyactive category is 40% and the less active category is 30%. In the second cycle there wasan increase in the very active category 40%, the active category 40%, the moderately activecategory 20% and the less active category 0%. So it can be concluded that the Role Playingmethod is able to increase the activity of second grade students at SDN 2 Gowak.

Abstract

EARLY BIRD is a medium that is used in Elementary School (SD) Negeri 3 Ropoh toteach English to students. This medium is used to teach and assess the reading skills ofelementary school children (SD) in Negeri 3 Ropoh in understanding English languageand the teachers' inventiveness. English instructors who are members of the EnglishTeacher Working Group (SD) Negeri 3 Ropoh have been introduced to this material.Based on the Early Bird operating principle, this media can assist English teachers indeveloping alternative learning media. Early Bird isn't just a learning tool; it's also a wayof life, However, it may motivate instructors to design alternative English learningmaterial as part of the English teaching and learning process at (SD) Negeri 3 Ropoh.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the possibilities of improving the English vocabularymastery for young learners through the use of games. Several approaches and methodscan be used to teach English vocabulary to young learners. The method we use to collectinformation in making this journal is review articles, we use the journal as a reference.One good way to learn vocabulary is to use real objects that children can visualize later.They need to pay attention to learning to use words and repeating them too. The othermethod is the direct method where there is no translation and the use of the mother tongueis prohibited. The games used by the teacher to teach words to young learners are hotpotato game, memory challenge, last one standing, pictionary, bingo. From the applicationof the game, young learners can quickly and easily increase their English vocabulary.

Abstract

Since the emergence of the COVID-19 Pandemic in all corners of the world, there havebeen changes in all fields, spreading to the education aspect. Many schools have beenclosed, the learning process is temporarily carried out online from their respective homes.Madrasah parties are required to continue to carry out learning with a process that is nolonger face-to-face in class but with online learning. The focus of this research is todescribe the teacher's role in the implementation of online learning, from planning,implementing, and evaluating learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptiveresearch model. This research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Butuh I Kalikajarwith the research subjects being teachers, in this case the teachers were givenquestionnaires and interviews to find out several indicators of the teacher's role, (1) theteacher's role as a learning resource, in online learning, the teacher provides learningresources , namely the theme book and program (2) the role of the teacher as ademonstrator, in this distance learning where the teacher provides facilities such asmedia to assist students in the learning process; (3) the teacher's role as a motivator, theteacher provides motivation to students. The motivation given by the teacher is alsovarious motivations with rewards or directly to students (4) the role of the teacher as amanager, in online learning here the teacher acts as a learning manager, so that learningcan be directed according to the basic competencies and learning objectives that must beachieved; (5) the role of the teacher as an evaluator here, the teacher plays a role inproviding evaluations in order to find out the extent to which students master a learningmaterial. Not only is the support for inhibiting factors very diverse, teachers play a veryimportant role in the implementation of online learning in the midst of the Covid-19Pandemic

Abstract

Early childhood education institutions are expected to provide optimal opportunities forchildren to access mathematical ideas and concepts include algebra. Existing researchshows the challenges in learning mathematics for children, especially algebra, one of whichis the competence of educators related to mastery skills and knowledge of the material inteaching. This research uses a survey research type by using a questionnaire as a datacollection tool. Questionnaires are used to obtain data related to a brief description of theunderstanding and application of teacher algebra learning at the Kindergarten level groupB. The findings from a sample of 33 respondents reported; 1) educators' self-understandingabout algebra learning, 42% of respondents are still not sure what algebraic materialcoverage needs to be taught, 39% of respondents stated that they know the scope ofalgebraic material that needs to be taught. 2) Teachers' teaching skills and abilities, 45%of respondents are able and frequently teach algebra material even though the practicedoes not cover all materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the snake ladder game of hijayah letters on theability to recognize hijayah letters of children aged 4-5 years in RA Perwanida GrabagGrabag District Magelang Regency.This research is a quasi-experimental research. Thevariables used in this study were the game of snakes and ladders hijaiyah letters as theindependent variable and the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters for children aged 4-5years as the dependent variable. The population in this study were all students of group Ain RA Perwanida Grabag totaling 90 children. The sampling technique used saturatedsampling technique, so that a sample of all students in group A RA Perwanida Grabag,totaling 90 children, was divided into two groups, 46 as the experimental group and 44 asthe control group. Methods of data collection using observation techniques. The dataanalysis technique used statistical non parametric Mann Whitney test.The results of thestudy concluded that the game of snakes and ladders hijaiyah letters had a positive effecton the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters for children aged 4-5 years. This is evidenced bythe acquisition of the Mann Whitney test value with a calculated z value of -5.947 with aprobability value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the study can be concluded that the gameof snakes and ladders hijaiyah letters affects the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters forchildren aged 4-5 years.
