Abstract

Water is a very important element for the survival of all living things on this earth. Water is the beginning of human life and also for animals and plants. For the human body, water has an important role as a source of nutrition for the body. One type of water that is needed by humans is drinking water. Drinking water is water that has been processed and also treated with a processing process that meets health requirements, so that this water is possible to drink directly. The people in Tuntungan Village fulfill their drinking water needs by buying drinking water from the Refill Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU). The water at the depots around Tuntungan Village is sourced from springs in the Sibolangit area, North Sumatra, where this water is distribute using tank trucks to drinking water depots in Tuntungan Village. Then it will be processed and distributed in each water depot. The drinking water treatment process at DAMIU has the potential to cause water to contain E.coli. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine whether there was E. coli in the water distributed by DAMIU in Tuntungan Village. This research is an experimental research combined with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study were 5 drinking water samples taken from 5 different DAMIUs using a purposive sampling technique. Sample examination was carried out at the UPT Health Laboratory of the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office on Jl. Willem Iskandar Pasar V Barat 1 (Jl. Balai Pom) No. 4. The results showed that there were 3 samples of drinking water that were positive for E.Coli and 2 samples that were negative for E.coli.

Abstract

EFB (Empty Palm Oil Bunches) is waste that is produced in large quantities by palm oil mills in Indonesia. About 22-23% OPEFB is produced from every ton of FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches), or around 220-230 kg of OPEFB. Unfortunately, most of the palm oil mills and communities in Indonesia have not fully utilized this waste. The problem in this research is how to use empty oil palm bunches as organic fertilizer for the people in Simandiangin Village, Kab. South Labuhanbatu. The research method uses qualitative methods by going directly to the field and using interview techniques. The results of research in the village of Simandiangin, Kab. Labuhanbatu Selatan found that the empty fruit bunches were bought from the factory using a truck and piled into the area closest to the tree to be fertilized. Within a year the owners of oil palm plantations in this area buy about 2 times a year. Then the owner of the garden employs several people to directly arrange them in a circle to the oil palm plants. In the application of empty fruit bunches, approximately 20-30 empty fruit bunches for oil palm plantations are given. The conclusion in this study is that the use of empty fruit bunches as organic fertilizer has considerable potential to help increase soil fertility and agricultural productivity. Oil Palm Empty Bunches (EFB) can be used as mulch, namely the covering layer of soil around the plants. The purpose of mulch is to reduce water evaporation, retain soil moisture, and inhibit weed growth. In addition, empty bunches will also decompose over time and provide nutrients to the plants.

Abstract

Rice is a food commodity that has a strategic role from both the producer and consumer side. The general objective of the research conducted is to find out whether there is a health impact that arises on the respiration of rice factory workers and the specific objective of this research is to prove the correctness of a theory. and problem solving, from this research will find out whether the theory or methodology is still relevant or not, to be considered as workers, to take better care of their health while working, to add insight and knowledge for researchers and readers. The research method used is qualitative. Based on the results and discussion Based on the observations that have been made, most of the workers in each rice mill have a smoking habit, where smoking habits can cause changes in the structure and function of the respiratory tract and lung tissue so as to accelerate the decline in lung function. Most of the workers also do not use personal protective equipment masks so that rice dust will be more easily inhaled by workers which results in impaired lung function capacity. Impaired lung function can be identified by indicators of decreased lung capacity values, occurring in rice mill workers when compared to non-rice mill workers.

Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks white blood cells in the body (lymphocytes) which results in a decrease in human immunity. Knowledge is very important for the community in understanding HIV prevention so that the disease does not spread and affect personal/friends/family. People who have the HIV virus in their blood are called HIV positive or people with HIV look healthy and do not need treatment. In this research method we used a quantitative method with cross sectional which is a descriptive and analytic research method. The results of our questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire were 262 respondents. people, and the age of the respondents 36-55 years amounted to 1 person. The sex of the male respondents was 65 people, and the sex of the female respondents was 197 people. what we have done is that it turns out that the relationship between knowledge and behavior is very closely related because if our knowledge is good enough to know HIV then the behavior of the community is also good and understands. If our behavior is still not in line with knowledge then it will have a negative effect on ourselves Alone. So from this research, quite a lot of people already know, but there are also some people who don't understand it.

Abstract

The urachus is the result of allantois obliteration. Failure to obliterate the allantois results in various urachal anomalies, some of which can cause clinical manifestations. Typical clinical symptoms in children are periumbilical fluid (42%), umbilical mass (30%), abdominal or periumbilical pain (22%), and rarely dysuria (2%). Clinical symptoms in adults include umbilical drainage, umbilical mass, omphalitis, cyst infection, abdominal pain, hematuria, dysuria, and may be asymptomatic.
