Abstract

The Family Planning Program (KB) is a government program designed to balance the needs and population in Indonesia. The family planning program is also carried out for the welfare of the community, especially from an economic and health point of view. Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest population in the world. Based on worldmaters data at the end of 2018, Indonesia has a population of 269 million people, ranking the top four countries with the largest population in the world. The uncontrolled increase in population and the rapid rate of population growth has resulted in an increase in the need for life, while the quality of the environment has decreased. This results in an imbalance between the supply of existing resources and household needs so that life welfare is not fulfilled. Increasing family welfare needs to be considered because the family is the smallest unit in social life so that the family has a role in supporting the success of development. The family plays a major role in forming quality human resources. The family planning program is also carried out for the welfare of the community, especially from an economic and health point of view. The aim of this research is to describe how the implementation of the family planning program is carried out in the coastal area of Bagan Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. This type of research is descriptive using a cross-sectional research design. The research was carried out in the coastal area of Bagan Percut Sei Tuan Village, Deli Serdang Regency in 2019. Abstract

The coastal area is the meeting area between land and sea. In coastal areas there is a wealth of coastal resources in the form of natural resources and environmental services which are very abundant. Natural resources found in coastal areas have important meaning in fishing activities, environmental conservation, marine tourism, and environmental services related to people's welfare. To maintain the potential of these natural resources, quality human resources are needed that are able to preserve the potential of existing natural resources. This study aims to determine the quality of human resources and the potential of coastal natural resources in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. This research method is a literature review using a narrative approach by classifying, collecting, differentiating, evaluating, and interpreting the collected information which is similar to the measurement results that have been carried out. The library sources used in compiling this literature review are through national journal websites such as Google Scholar. The conclusion from the results of the literature review explains that the human resources of traditional fishermen in the coastal area of Serdang Bedagai Regency are generally still very low. This can be seen from the low level of education of fishermen. In addition, the Serdang Bedagai coastal area has a lot of potential natural resources including fishing activities, mangrove ecotourism and marine tourism.

Abstract

Background: Environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene are related to the incidence of diarrhea. One of them is the presence of vectors caused by poor sanitation and SPAL and CTPS. Purpose: This literature review aims to determine the relationship between environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea. Method: The method used in writing a literature review is a traditional literature review. Data sources come from Google Scholar and the Garuda portal in the 2015-2020 period. The keywords used are "diarrhea incidence, environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene". After screening, there were 22 reference articles. Results: The results showed that there were 18 out of 22 journals which concluded that environmental factors were one of the causes of diarrhea, 13 of 22 journals concluded that maternal personal hygiene was one of the causes of diarrhea. The dominant maternal environmental and personal hygiene factors trigger the incidence of diarrhea, namely sanitation, SPAL and CTPS. Bad CTPS is more dominant in causing diarrhea with an OR value of 6.985. Conclusion: Conclusion of this literature review is that the causes of diarrhea in toddlers are more dominated by sanitation conditions, SPAL and one of the mothers' personal hygiene, namely poor CTPS. Good CTPS is using soap and running water when washing hands. Therefore, improving sanitation, SPAL and good application of CTPS is one way to minimize the incidence of diarrhea.

Abstract

Introduction: Sanitation is an important factor in public health. One of the areas that has a fairly high level of difficulty in managing sanitation is the coastal area where the main problem lies in the disposal of household waste and garbage as an environmental sanitation problem. Healthy housing is a gathering place for all family members and spends most of their time. so that the health conditions of housing can act as a medium for disease transmission among family members or neighbors, especially the people in coastal areas whose household wastewater channels are considered for healthy housing. Methods: To obtain data on research methods using a comprehensive search-based Systematic Review based on 3 open science framework OSF indexed journals, Medline Pubmed, and Google Scholar. The research sample uses 12 journal references. Result: Community knowledge regarding household wastewater disposal is still minimal because the community has never received health education or information regarding household wastewater disposal. Facilities for disposing of liquid waste in households include disposal of water used for kitchen, bathroom and hand washing facilities. So that a waste water disposal channel (SPAL) is needed in the form of a pipe or other in order to become a place for disposal of waste water from the source to the place of management. Conclusion: There is a significant influence of sewage drainage on the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
