Abstract

This research employs Erving Goffman's dramaturgical theory, which divides social life into front stage and backstage, to analyze the management of Kyai Gus Baha's broadcasts in Islamic preaching. Utilizing a qualitative approach and literature review method, the study examines 50 sermons by Kyai Gus Baha, audience comments, and interviews with individuals close to him. The findings reveal that Kyai Gus Baha uses friendly and easily understandable language in 90% of cases, controlled humor in 60%, references to the Quran and Hadith in 100%, and messages of peace and tolerance in 80% of instances. Additionally, he discusses everyday life in a friendly manner in 70% of cases. Audience reactions indicate appreciation for intelligence and depth of knowledge (40%), kindness and gentleness (30%), humor and emotional connection (20%), and relevance to daily life (10%). Interviews disclose that Kyai Gus Baha's personal life is simple, honest, and aligned with his teachings, acknowledged by respondents (80-100%). In conclusion, Kyai Gus Baha effectively and consistently manages presentations between the front and backstage, thereby enhancing the credibility and effectiveness of his sermons. This study underscores the importance of alignment between teaching and actions in building credibility in Islamic preaching.

Abstract

This research examines the concept and implementation of therapeutic da'wah developed by Ustadz Adi Hidayat, an innovative approach that integrates Islamic teachings with the principles of modern psychology. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research investigates how Ustadz Adi Hidayat utilises Qur'anic verses and hadith as a source of soul healing and practical solutions to psychological problems. The results show that this therapeutic da'wah approach has a significant positive impact on the mental and spiritual health of the congregation, including increased serenity, happiness, and quality of interpersonal relationships. Although it faces challenges in terms of improving the competence of preachers in the field of psychology, this method opens up great opportunities for further development, especially through the utilisation of digital technology. In conclusion, Ustadz Adi Hidayat's therapeutic da'wah offers an effective model of integrating religious teachings with contemporary psychological needs, demonstrating the importance of a holistic approach in modern da'wah practice.

Abstract

The use of strategies for uploading da’wah content on Instagram media is the main factor in the success of da’wah content developing on social media today. By using strategies for uploading da’wah content, it is hoped that content creators will be able to attract people to be more interested in listening to da’wah messages through the media. Instagram. This qualitative study aims to develop a strategy for uploading Salafi da’wah content via Instagram, which was carried aut by implementing the first 4 strategies: 1) Strategy for uploading informative salafi da’wah content, 2) Strategy for identification of salafi Da’wah Content in Production, 3) Strategy for Determining Upload times for Salafi Da’wah Content, 4) Strategy for Understanding the upload frequency Algorithm for salafi Da’wah Content. Televisio Surau is positioned as a research object. The data strategy for uploading Salafi preaching content via Instagram was collected through observation, interviews and data analysis reletad to this study. The results of this research inform that the upload strategy.

Abstract

The existence of television programs in the digital era is increasingly being questioned due to the emergence of new media.  From data from a survey conducted by KPI (Indonesian Broadcasting Commission) in 2021, there are television programs that are considered not useful, one of which is infotainment. However, infotainment programs still exist and can even be broadcast more than once a day on television. The Muslim community should consume useful and quality broadcasts, but in fact the Muslim community is a contributor to infotainment viewers. This research intends to explain the Muslim community's perception of the quality of infotainment in the digital era. This research is field research which uses a quantitative approach and is analyzed using the SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory. Data was obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The main data source comes from Muslim communities selected by purposive sampling.  The results of this research showed that the Muslim community regarding the quality of infotainment programs in the information aspect had a positive perception, in the entertainment substance aspect they also had a positive perception, but in the education aspect they had a negative perception. In response to the perception that emerged, it can be said that the Pekalongan Muslim community rarely watches infotainment, the majority only 1-2 times a week. Meanwhile, the viewing duration can also be summed up briefly. In accordance with SOR theory, the stimulus that is perceived as not positive in one aspect, namely education by the viewer, also has an impact on the frequency and duration which is not optimal.

Abstract

Communication ethics is an important aspect of social life. The Qur'an as a guide to life for Muslims contains relevant ethics to prevent and overcome hate speech, especially in the digital era. Hateful speech can cause very detrimental social divisions and conflicts. Therefore, it is important to understand how the Qur'an regulates communication ethics in order to create social harmony. This research uses a qualitative approach with thematic interpretation method. The main data source comes from verses of the Koran relating to communication ethics. Data analysis was carried out by identifying and interpreting these verses in the context of handling hate speech in the digital era. In addition, literature reviews of various interpretations are used to enrich the analysis. The research results show that the Qur'an teaches communication ethics that prioritize the values of honesty, justice, politeness and wisdom. The verses that discuss the prohibition of slander, incitement and negative provocation show that hate speech is strictly prohibited in Islam. The Qur'an also emphasizes the importance of giving advice in a good way and having wise dialogue. Implementing communication ethics in the Al-Qur'an can be an effective solution in dealing with hate speech. With the communication ethics in the Koran, society can build a harmonious environment. This research is really needed so that people can better understand and apply these ethics in everyday life.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Ma'had Al-Zaytun (MAZ) banana plantation to examine the communication patterns between banana farmers and MAZ leaders and the type of followership of banana plantation workers. This research utilizes a qualitative method, emphasizing in-depth and detailed observations. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation of the agricultural and plantation division team, project leaders, and banana plantation workers. The results indicate that the communication pattern between leaders and banana farmers reflects a combination of linear and wheel patterns. This combined pattern can improve good communication between leaders and other members. This communication pattern can also increase motivation for banana plantation workers. With support and motivation from the leadership, banana plantation workers remain enthusiastic about carrying out their duties while in the banana fields. Leadership in the MAZ banana land is transformational, while the visible followership is of the implementer and partner type.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the H.M Soeharto building whose target was related to the ability of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students to use design applications. The second subject matter is, how Islamic Communication and Broadcasting students increase da'wah creativity by using design applications. This research applies qualitative methods that focus on in-depth and detailed observations. Thus, this method can produce a more thorough understanding of the phenomenon or problem being studied. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with KPI IAI AL-AZIS students. The results of this study show that Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI) students show a good ability to use the Canva design application, which makes it easier for them to make designs. They utilize Canva's features creatively. KPI students can also improve their da'wah creativity through Canva, by following the stages of the creative process and aspects.

Abstract

This Research was motivated by clashes between the community and security forces due to the refusal of the Rempang Island community to be relocated because the land there would be used as the Rempang Eco-City area. From this incident, many online media were interested in reporting on the conflict with various views, two of these online media were Riaupos.co and Kompas.com. In obtaining data, the author used a descriptive qualitative method, then the data was obtained from observation and taking the documentation archives in the two online media. This research was conducted using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis technique with four elements, namely Define Problem, Diagnose Cause (Cause of the Problem), Make Moral Judgment (Making Moral Choices) and Treatment Recommendation (Emphasizing Solutions). The results of the analysis obtained are that the define problem element focuses on community action, while Kompas.com focuses on explaining the resolution efforts of various parties. The causes of the problems between the two media both explain that the causes of the clashes started with the community. Regarding moral choices, Riaupos.co explains the incident in detail, while Kompas.com only provides a general description. The solutions from both media both frame problem resolution according to the best viewpoints put forward by various parties.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the communication strategy and constraints of RRI Padang program 4 broadcasters in the era of generation z. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study provide findings covering four programs in program 4, as for the Communication Strategy of Broadcasters Program 4 LPP RRI Padang in Maintaining Its Existence in the Generation Z Era, namely: communication strategy of the broadcaster in the "Dendang Dangdut" program in this program, listeners are free to request songs and send greetings with other listeners. Second, the communication strategy of the broadcaster program 4 in the "Salam Bajawek" program in this program listeners are free to request minang songs of choice. Third, the communication strategy of the broadcaster in the program "kato bajawek in pantun" in this program is free for listeners to exchange rhymes with the host or resource persons presented in the studio, and the strategy of broadcaster communication in the program "Minangkabau local wisdom" in this program is an interactive dialogue by presenting intellectual speakers, and through this program can revive the wisdom of Minangkabau culture, And the obstacles faced are in the form of external obstacles in the form of resource persons not being able to attend the studio, making the program unable to be run or the program broadcast online, and the internal obstacles are in the form of emotional and mental disturbances from a broadcaster or it can be from the tool. Abstract

This article presents a study of the da'wah of ustadzah Halimah Alydrus regarding Good Morals as the key to Success in the Hereafter. Someone has good morals is very necessary, because it is one of the keys to success in the afterlife. Good morals will bring ourselves to be good too, and the surrounding environment will support the good things we do. Having good morals does not only apply to children, but also to parents, wives, husbands, mothers, and others must have good morals. Good manners are the manners of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, because his morals is the Qur'an which is certainly good and noble. So we must imitate the morals of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This article also discusses a brief bio of who Ustadzah Halimah Alaydrus is, and why we raised this topic as our report. We also see the fact in the field that many teenagers whose morals have declined, and some are far from good morals, it can affect the future of the nation in the future.
