Abstract

Vaisesika Darsana of Hindu philosophy is one of the Sad Darsanas. It imparts knowledge about the nature of reality, the elements that make up the world, and the law and order in the cosmos. The Holy Panaturan Scriptures of Hindu Kaharingan have teachings about the creation of the universe, the relationship between humans and God, ethical values, and life equality. Both view the order of the universe similarly and believe that God is the primary cause of all things. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between Vaisesika Darsana and cosmology and ethical teachings in Panaturan and its relevance for reconstructing the spiritual values of the Hindu Kaharingan community. The method used is a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach through analysis of the Vaisesika Darsana text, the Panaturan Book, and other sources, then compared conceptually and thematically. The research showed the relevant concepts of Padartha in Vaisesika Darsana and cosmological doctrine of regulation of the creation, which categorically asserts God (Isvar/Ranying Hatalla Langit) as creator-regulator of nature, as well as equalized a polemic for creating balance among man, nature, and God. The conclusion of this study is, Vaisesika Darsana philosophy has correlation concept with Panaturan teaching in cosmology and ethics aspects that reflect the continuity of classical Hindu values to the Panaturan Hindu Kaharingan teaching in basic life religious harmonious ethics.

Abstract

This research investigated the issue of how the educational philosophy of John Dewey continues to be applicable to the learning of English for Tourism in Indonesia. This study was conducted with the objective of investigating the connections that exist between contextual learning techniques in the field of English for Tourism and Dewey's progressive ideals, which include educational democracy, reflection, and learning by doing.  The purpose of this research was to investigate academic sources that were pertinent in order to discover the practical applications and theoretical ramifications of Dewey's philosophy in vocational English teaching. In order to achieve this objective, the study employed a qualitative literature review methodology. The concept of experience as the central component of meaningful learning that was put forth by Dewey served as the foundation for the theoretical framework.  According to the findings of the study, students who are exposed to experiential, project-based, and reflective learning approaches demonstrate a substantial increase in their ability to communicate effectively, their level of empathy, and their knowledge of social issues.  Furthermore, the implementation of technologies such as virtual reality and digital storytelling contributes to the realization of Deweyan ideals in the digital age.  The consequences made it clear that in order to cultivate professionals who are morally grounded, adaptive, and communicative in the field of tourism, it is necessary to design a form of English for Tourism training that is contextual, reflective, and humanistic.

Abstract

This article offers a comparative analysis of the concept of episteme in the thought of Plato and Aristotle, aiming to reveal each method's contributions to the development of scientific knowledge, clarifying their roles in formulating and testing scientific truth, and exploring implications for contemporary knowledge advancement. Employing a qualitative-interpretative approach through textual and comparative analysis of Plato's Socratic dialogues and Aristotle's logical works, the study highlights Plato's reflective-transcendental dialectical idealism against Aristotle's systematic-deductive empirical syllogism. Key findings demonstrate their foundational ontological-epistemological differences: Plato grounded in the eternal World of Ideas, Aristotle in concrete hylomorphic reality, giving rise to two scientific paradigms: reflective-normative (mathematics, ethics) versus empirical-descriptive (natural and social sciences). These approaches complement each other in shaping a holistic contemporary scientific paradigm that integrates philosophical and empirical dimensions. In conclusion, the article asserts that idealism and syllogism are mutually reinforcing methods for cultivating critical, systematic, and reflective reasoning in scientific inquiry, with their synergy essential for developing a more comprehensive knowledge framework in the modern era, particularly in bridging philosophical and empirical pursuits of scientific truth.
