Abstract

Cigarettes are one of the addictive tobacco products because they contain nicotine, which is transmitted between smokers and non-smokers. Prevention is done by not making contact with smokers and giving one type of nicotine replacement therapy. The purpose of this study was to find out the form of the spread of smoking habits that occurs among the community when given nicotine replacement therapy as an effort to prevent this spread. The method in this research is literature. The results of the analysis show that the smoking free fixed point  always exists. If  then the smoking habit free fixed point is asymptotically stable. The smoking habit endemic fixed point  will exist if it fulfills several conditions. Under certain conditions, the endemic fixed point is asymptotically stable and the smoking free fixed point is unstable so that smoking will endemic in the population

Abstract

Investing involves allocating funds with the expectation of future profits. The higher the expected return, the higher the risk one must assume. Optimal portfolios are designed to minimize risk while maximizing returns. The Markowitz model and the Mean Variance Efficient Portfolio (MVEP) are two methods that can be used to construct such portfolios. This study aims to compare the optimal portfolios of LQ-45 stocks during the Covid-19 pandemic using both the Markowitz model and the MVEP model, and to evaluate the performance of these portfolios by calculating the Sharpe ratio index. The analysis reveals that the optimal portfolio formed using the Markowitz model outperforms the one formed using the MVEP model

Abstract

Diseases that can be scientifically transmitted between animals and humans are zoonotic diseases. In zoonotic diseases, cytokines act as cell signalers in the body that are useful for understanding immunity to disease infections. This study is a basic or theoretical research by conducting a literature review to understand the interaction between inflammatory pro-response cytokines with inflammatory anti-response. In this study, we will discuss a mathematical model consisting of two simple components, namely pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses. The analysis used is fixed point analysis. The fixed point obtained is the root of the polynomial to the power of 7 so that the exact value of the fixed point cannot be determined. In finding the fixed point of the system of differential equations used Descartes' rule, so that a positive fixed point of 7, 5, 3 or 1 piece is obtained. We supplemented the results with numerical simulations.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is the result of a comparison between expectations and reality that customers receive after consuming goods or services. One of the factors that influence online purchase satisfaction behavior based on satisfaction factors are product quality factors, price factors, service quality factors, emotional factors, and convenience factors. The purpose of this study is to find out about the factor analysis model and what factors influence the satisfaction of UNP Mathematics students when shopping online. The data used is primary data obtained from giving questionnaires to UNP Mathematics Student respondents and factor analysis is used to analyze the data. From the results of the study it was concluded that the factors formed were the first factor containing the variables of product quality, service quality, and emotional factors. The second factor contains price and convenience variables.

Abstract

Air transport is the first choice for people who travel long distances. Forecasting is important in the decision-making process, especially for air transportation which can provide information on the increase and decrease in passengers that fluctuate. To describe the fluctuation of a data that changes rapidly over time results in the variance of error changing over time, so the data is estimated to be heteroscedasticity. ARCH and GARCH methods are useful for modeling heteroscedasticity elements in data. The following research includes applied research, using data on the number of passengers arriving on airplanes in 2018 –2022. From the results of the study, the best model according to the lowest AIC value was obtained the GARCH model (1.2). The variance equation in the GARCH model (1,2) is . Then using the GARCH model (1.2), forecasting was carried out in 2018 – 2022, which was as many as 60 data. From the forecasting results obtained the number of passengers came the aircraft.

Abstract

Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model is a model for inventory management decision-making. The basic EOQ model is not entirely realistic, as it neglects several factors that impact inventory management decisions, leading to suboptimal outcomes. This study aims to form and analyze the inventory model from the development of EOQ model. Market competition, seasonal changes, promotional reach, and unexpected events can cause uncertainty. Fuzzy set theory is used to overcome this uncertainty, namely demand rate and deterioration rate are represented by fuzzy numbers. Trade credit and limited capacity of the company’s warehouse are also considered, so the rented warehouse is used. The fuzzy model is deffuzified by graded mean integration representation method. Results include a model for optimal order quantity, the optimal time for rented warehouse inventory depletion, and the minimum total cost. Numerical simulation and sensitivity analysis demonstrate the model’s applicability and highlight the impact of parameter changes.

Abstract

The cocoa fruit rot disease can be caused by the fungus Phytophthora palmivora. One way to prevent this disease is by using the galangal-based botanical fungicide. This research aims to understand the dynamics of cocoa fruit rot disease spread in a cocoa plant population with the influence of galangal-based botanical fungicide application. In the obtained model, equilibrium points are determined, and local stability analysis is conducted around these equilibrium points. The study also identifies critical points, represented by parameters that play a crucial role in stability changes within the given system. Analytical results are supported by numerical simulations, using parameter values obtained from relevant journals. Based on the analysis, there are two equilibrium points: the disease-free equilibrium point and the endemic equilibrium point. The disease spread analysis is influenced by the parameter value . If , the cocoa population remains free from disease spread, and conversely, if , the disease will spread in the population.

Abstract

To determine the quality of coffee beans, expertis and accuracy are needed to make the right decision, so there are no mistakes in labeling the qualityof coffee beans which can cause losses. This research aims to assist in determining the quality of coffee beans using the TOPSIS Fuzzy MADM method with four criteria, namely: water content, defects, scent, and ground height of the coffee beans. Criteria assessments are determined subjectively and objectively. The weight values of the criteria are obtained subjectively based on expert opinions and objectively obtained using the TOPSIS method. The results of this research is preference value ranking of all alternatives. The results of the accuracy test comparing the analysis results from experts with the TOPSIS Fuzzy MADM method obtained an accuracy rate of 85%, classified as good criteria that can be used todetermine the quality of coffee beans precisely and well.

Abstract

A system of fuzzy linear equations is a linear equation with more than one number that is related to one another where the constants and variables are in the form of fuzzy numbers. To solve it, the system of fuzzy linear equations is changed to a system of non-fuzzy linear equations and the solution uses codeblock program software to get fast and accurate results. In solving the system of fuzzy linear equations in this study, the Crout decomposition method was applied and developed an algorithm to be applied to the C++ language. Crout's decomposition method is to decompose a matrix into a multiplication matrix ???????? where the matrix ???? (Lower) is the lower triangular matrix and the matrix ???? (Upper) is the upper triangular matrix whose main diagonal has a value of one. The results of the research are in the form of programs that can find solutions to systems of fuzzy linear equations that have fulfilled the complexity of the function.
