Abstract

Abstract

The concept and strategy of national security of Indonesia includes the resilience of all areas of the country against military and non-military threats. From a sociological perspective, non-military threats exist in a dynamic social and environmental world and are constantly changing in form. Non-military threats have a broader dimension, including ideological, social, economic, cultural, political, information technology and public safety. Various facts about regional conditions and socio-religious dynamics in the Special Region of Yogyakarta are indicators that show a source of problems as a potential non-military threat. The article from the field research using the following qualitative method contains an interpretive description of various non-military threats from internal conditions, as well as external influences. Internal conditions are caused by the Yogyakarta region which is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean, the ring of fire area, and the city of study and tourism destinations. As for the external conditions for non-military threats, among others, due to the influence of globalization, geopololitical conditions, ideological flows such as radicalism and massive caiptalization from outside Indonesia. There are three forms of non-military threats in Yogyakarta that urgently need a strategy to respond and resolve them. The three non-military therats are religious radicalism, narcotics and illegal drugs, as well as the negative impact of virtual culture; such as the rise of hate and hoaxes that can damage unity, because it causes discord of the nation.

Abstract

As part of the ecological system, humans have a dominant role in determining the good and bad of the environment. The stability and comfort of the environment depend on the positive behavior around the elements of the ecosystem in it, including humans. The emergence of various environmental problems is also inseparable from human indiscipline in protecting and preserving them. An environment that is maintained properly, will respond positively by providing great benefits to humans. Otherwise, an environment that is treated badly will repay with damage and disaster. The leadership of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da'wah at IAIN Kediri was fully aware of this, especially the Hadith Science Study Program. This awareness forms a religious construction based on an understanding of religious texts, particularly Hadith. Through qualitative research, this reality will be described descriptively and analytically. The results illustrate that the epitome construction of environmental conservation activities is manifested in participation in the Green Campus program. The sociological construction contestation was seen in the leadership of the Hadith Science Study Program and the academic community for the absorption of religious teaching, thus generating practices in the form of involvement in tree and flower planting activities in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da'wah.

Abstract

The market relocation policy aims that better and cleaner city arrangement because in fact the presence of an inappropriate market raises several fundamental problems such as a narrow, less strategic market location, its proximity to gas stations, and traffic congestion. Unfortunatelly, many problems happen because of policies regarding market relocation implementation. This study uses a quantitative approach with the technique of determining informants using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the market relocation policy implementation was carried out through the socialization, structuring and controlling stages. However, in the relocation implementation, there are some traders who return to the old market. The neglect of the lack of compliance by some traders raises the assumption that the Regional Government is inconsistent in implementing the policies that have been issued. Judging from the principles of good governance, the local government where the research was conducted has only applied three principles, namely participation, transparency and accountability. The research results also show that the lack of facilities and infrastructure, low compliance of traders and the impression of inconsistency of the government in implementing policies that have been issued are the obstacles of these policies implementation.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the position and role of Indonesian Women's Ulama in responding to the social problems of women in the patriarchal culture of Ulamā’ which is dominated by male Ulamā’ in Indonesia. Using Peter L.Berger and Luckmann's (1966) social construction theory, this paper seeks to explore the capacity of Indonesian Women’s Ulama in solving socio-religious problems, especially in the field of female law and social issues in Indonesia. Law-making in Indonesia cannot be separated from the patriarchal construction built by the intellectual hegemony of male Ulamā’ (Islamic scholars) and the existence of social inequality between men and women in the dominance of social interpretations which results in the dominance of masculinity in the public sector. This paper uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation. The conclusions of this paper are 1) the intellectual ahistorism of women socially constructed through verbalization, visualization, and adaptation in the socio-cultural scientific tradition; 2) the cultural backwardness experienced by women when men step forward in their socio-cultural intellect in the public sector such as law, education, politics and economics.
