Abstract

Brand marketing strategies grounded in ethics and religious values are an interesting topic to explore. Consumers tend to view the presence of a brand as personal, creating value through co-creation. Although not always, religion can play an important role in shaping brand loyalty. This study aims to analyze the effect of religious brand resonance on brand loyalty, with brand purity and brand love as mediating dimensions of brand identity. This study has a crucial point, considering the right marketing strategy policy for the target consumer market that is sensitive to personal preferences. This latest study integrates identity theory in religious brand resonance by exploring the construction of brand identity involvement. The survey method was used, with questionnaires distributed to 428 respondents in Indonesia and Malaysia. With the snowball sampling technique, data on the responses of Sharia Insurance Policyholders have been obtained. The results of the study indicate that religious brand resonance has a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty. Brand purity and brand love appear as mediating variables between religious brand resonance and brand loyalty. The findings of this study imply the need for a brand marketing strategy by building a brand that is relevant to the identity of the religious brand, and maintaining quality consistently to maintain brand loyalty.

Abstract

Despite the recognition of artificial intelligence (AI) as an innovative banking frontier, its full-scale activation is limited by an insufficient understanding of user adoption behaviors, particularly among specific demographics in emerging markets. This study explores the behavioral indicators affecting the adoption of AI among potential digital banking adopters in Indonesia classified as Gen Z. The theoretical underpinnings of the unified theory of acceptance of technology (UTAUT2) and technology acceptance model (TAM), data from 414 respondents, and the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique were used to identify the behavioral indicators of AI adoption. The empirical findings reveal that intrinsic motivations (perceived ease of use, usefulness, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and hedonic motivation) significantly drive AI adoption among Gen Z in Indonesian digital banking. Notably, external factors such as social influence and facilitating conditions, along with demographic variables such as gender and age, were found to be insignificant, challenging the established models in this context. Conversely, the level of education and job role emerged as significant drivers. This study refines the integrated UTAUT2 and TAM framework by demonstrating how the unique characteristics of Gen Z in an emerging digital economy reshape the influence of external factors, thereby establishing crucial boundary conditions for these models. These findings offer actionable insights for banking professionals to design targeted digital marketing strategies and policies that resonate with this crucial demographic, especially in contexts similar to Indonesia's digital development stage.

Abstract

This study investigates the psychological factors that shape sustainable entrepreneurial intention among women entrepreneurs affiliated with the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI), a prominent national organization that empowers female business actors. The research explores the influence of entrepreneurial mindset, entrepreneurial motivation, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy using a quantitative approach with partial least squares structural equation modeling on survey data collected from members in Banten Province. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial mindset significantly enhances both entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial self-efficacy, while entrepreneurial self-efficacy emerges as the strongest direct predictor of sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Further analysis confirms that entrepreneurial mindset also affects intention indirectly through motivational and efficacy pathways. Moreover, the multi-group analysis indicates that age moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and sustainable entrepreneurial intention, with stronger effects observed among older respondents. These results highlight the layered psychological mechanisms that support sustainable entrepreneurship and underscore the strategic role of organizations such as the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association in nurturing entrepreneurial capacity. The study contributes to the literature on entrepreneurial psychology and provides practical implications for age-sensitive policies and empowerment programs that support women-led sustainable business development

Abstract

The research aims to investigate whether digital leadership has a direct impact on service innovation in organisations, with knowledge sharing serving as an intervening mechanism to examine how this correspondence functions. A quantitative method and a cross-sectional design were used in the study, which collected data through questionnaires from 258 employees working in 3- and 4-star hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the hypothesised relationships. The results demonstrate that digital leadership has a positive, significant effect on service innovation. In addition, the findings reveal that knowledge sharing acts as a strong mediating factor, indicating that one of the most essential ways digital leaders foster innovation is by promoting a knowledge-sharing process that encourages employees to share information and knowledge freely in a collaborative environment. It underscores that leadership Influence operates, in part, through the development of organisational members’ capacity to learn. The study finds that digital leadership drives competitive advantage in the service sector and that its power is contingent on knowledge sharing. It underscores the strategic challenge for hotel managers to cultivate digital leadership competencies and progressively engineer organisational norms and infrastructures that promote and enable knowledge-sharing behaviours among employees, thereby facilitating sustained service innovation.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of algorithmic transparency and employees’ perceived organizational justice on employee trust in algorithmically managed work environments, with psychological safety as a mediating variable and digital literacy as a moderating factor. Drawing on socio-technical and organizational behavior perspectives, eight hypotheses were proposed and empirically tested. Data were collected from non-freelance employees working in two platform-based logistics companies, Shopee Express and J&T Express, operating in Banyumas Regency, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that algorithmic transparency and perceived organizational justice have significant positive effects on employee trust, both directly and indirectly through psychological safety. In addition, digital literacy strengthens the positive relationship between psychological safety and employee trust. These findings underscore the importance of integrating transparent algorithmic systems, perceived fairness in organizational practices, and employees’ psychological readiness in building trust within algorithm-driven organizations. The study contributes to the literature by positioning psychological safety as a key affective mechanism linking algorithmic management practices to trust, while extending empirical evidence through an industry-based, multi-firm analysis within the platform logistics sector.

Abstract

Modern marketing strategies have shifted from functional product introductions toward stimulating affective consumer responses that trigger low-involvement purchasing. This study examines the influence of advertising value on impulsive buying behavior, specifically analyzing the mediating role of hedonic shopping motives. Utilizing a quantitative approach, survey data were collected from 205 residents in Makassar City, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS software. The results confirm that all four hypotheses (H1–H4) are supported, demonstrating that advertising value significantly impacts both hedonic motives and impulsive buying. Notably, the findings reveal the presence of partial mediation, where the indirect effect of advertising value on impulsive buying channelled through hedonic shopping motives is statistically stronger than the direct effect. These results imply that while advertising value directly stimulates spontaneity, its efficacy is significantly amplified when it successfully invokes the consumer's emotional and experiential shopping desires. Consequently, businesses should prioritize marketing communications that leverage emotional triggers to optimize impulsive purchasing outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to test the antecedents of constant connectivity, specifically the visibility of colleagues and supervisors, as well as its consequences in the form of employee well-being. Furthermore, the study examines the mediating role of psychological detachment in the relationship between constant connectivity and its consequences. The data were obtained from 207 valid responses from employees across food and beverage, banking, education, and retail companies in Indonesia, encompassing both operational and administrative roles. The collected data were examined using the Warp PLS analytical tool. The findings indicate that the visibility of colleagues’ and supervisors’ communication through mobile work devices (MWDs) positively influences constant connectivity. Whereas constant connectivity does not affect employee well-being and psychological detachment. Meanwhile, psychological detachment affects employee well-being and mediates the relationship between constant connectivity and employee well-being. This study offers a contribution by demonstrating that constant connectivity is not merely a technological by product but is socially constructed through patterns of interpersonal visibility within organizations. Nevertheless, this study is subject to certain limitations. By using self-report questionnaires, this study may raise concerns regarding common method bias. Future research are encouraged to employ longitudinal designs to more effectively capture how constant connectivity unfolds over time and how psychological detachment fluctuates across work and non-work periods.

Abstract

This study examines users’ intention to continue using telemedicine through the privacy paradox perspective by positioning trust as an intervening mechanism and by considering perceived benefits and digital health literacy as conditional factors. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted with 455 telemedicine users from multiple platforms in Central Java, Indonesia. The proposed relationships were assessed using PLS-SEM to evaluate direct effects, mediation, and moderation. The findings reveal that privacy concern reduces both trust and continuance intention. Trust, in turn, enhances continuance intention and partially explains the relationship between privacy concern and continued use. Perceived benefits and digital health literacy also increase continuance intention. The moderation analysis shows that perceived benefits strengthen the effect of trust on continuance intention, whereas digital health literacy weakens the negative influence of privacy concern on continued use. These findings demonstrate that users may continue using telemedicine despite privacy concerns when they trust the platform, perceive strong service benefits, and have sufficient digital health literacy. This study contributes to telemedicine continuance literature by integrating privacy concern, trust, perceived benefits, and digital health literacy into a conditional mediation model. The findings also offer practical implications for telemedicine providers to improve transparency, data protection, service value, and user literacy. Future research should employ longitudinal and cross-regional designs to improve generalizability.
