Abstract

Good learning outcomes are one of the benchmarks to determine the success of a learning process. All of this is caused by the lack of liveliness and curiosity of students during the Biology Science learning process. This study aims to: (1) Describe Biology Science learning on the digestive system material using a scientific approach through the cycle learning learning model, (2) Describe the increase in student learning outcomes on the digestive system material by using a scientific approach through the cycle learning learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The instruments used: (a) Student observation sheet, (b) Interview guide sheet, (c) Field notes, (d) Learning achievement test. The research subjects were class VIII-B students of SMP Negeri 1 Idanotae. Based on the results of the study it was found that there was an increase in student activity in the learning process, there was a sense of student responsibility in solving each problem given through worksheets, and students felt happy about learning with a scientific approach through the cycle learning model and there was an increase in student learning outcomes from 80% to cycle I to 90% in cycle II classically. Therefore, a scientific approach through cycle learning can be used as a good learning alternative to improve student learning outcomes on the digestive system material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes through the discovery learning model at SMP Negeri 1 Idanotae in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research is a class action research (CAR). The instruments used: (a) Student observation sheet, (b) Interview guide sheet, (c) Field notes, (d) Learning achievement test. The research subjects were 31 class VIII-A students of SMP Negeri 1 Idanotae. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by researchers regarding improving the quality and learning outcomes of students through the discovery learning model, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students have increased from cycle I where there were 71% of students who completed classically and in cycle II all students classical finish. This increase was obtained because the discovery learning model can be student-centered, where students actively discover concepts on the human respiratory system for themselves. Based on the results of this study, researchers suggest that the discovery learning model can be used to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine and describe improvements in the quality and cognitive learning outcomes of students. This research method is classroom action research with 2 cycles, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The research results showed that students were active in expressing opinions, learning to discuss, clarifying ideas and concepts of the material they were studying so that student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 were better. Conclusion: the talking chips learning model is effective for improving the quality of learning and students' cognitive learning outcomes, where each student gets the opportunity to make their contribution and listen to each other's views and thoughts. The suggestion put forward by researchers is that integrated science subject teachers should use the talking chips learning model in learning activities at school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi hasil belajar siswa rendah. Hasil belajar yang tidak memenuhi KKN mencerminkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Guru belum menerapkan Inkuiri terbimbing pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA Biologi di kelas VIII SMP. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimen dan jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP yang berjumlah 40 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 23 orang dan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 17 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar yaitu tes awal dan tes akhir. Berdasarkan pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan maka nilai rata-rata tes awal pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh sebesar 28.91 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 29.12. Nilai rata-rata tes akhir pada kelas eksperimen di peroleh sebesar 63.91 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 62.06. berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis secara statistik, harga t dengan signifikan 0.05 diperoleh thitung = 1.713 dan ttabel = 1.684 sehingga thitung> ttabel yaitu 1.713 > 1.684, maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar IPA Biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP khususnya pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan. Saran yang ditawarkan yaitu (1) Hendaknya dijadikan model pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran khusus pada mata pelajaran IPA Biologi; (2) Hendaknya penelitian ini menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran; (3) hendaknya hasil penelitian ini menjadi bahan referensi kepada penelitian lanjutan yang relevan dengan penelitian ini.

Abstract

Modul berbasis inkuiri pada materi sistem saraf belum tersedia di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lahusa sebagai bahan ajar dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil belajar siswa masih rendah hal ini didasarkan pada nilai siswa masih dibawah KKM dan siswa kesulitan memperoleh materi sistem saraf. Dengan adanya modul siswa dapat belajar secara mandiri sesuai dengan kemampuannya dalam menyerap materi pembelajaran.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan produk berupa Modul Berbasis Inkuiri pada materi Sistem Saraf yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and development). Model pengembangan yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model 4-D. Dan Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lahusa dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil penelitian yang peneliti dapatkan melalui angket dan tes evaluasi yang telah peneliti bagikan menyatakan bahwa modul berbasis inkuiri pada materi sistem saraf yang di ujicobakan sangat valid dengan nilai total rata-rata 90,17%, nilai total rata-rata uji praktikalitas oleh guru 3,6% yang dikategorikan sangat praktis, nilai praktikalitas olehs iswa 3,59% dikategorikan sangat praktis, total hasil motivasi siswa 89,75% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, dan hasil ranah kognitif siswa jumlah rata-ratanya 89,1% berbeda dengan nilai siswa sebelum menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri dengan nilai rata-rata 60,2% dengan kategori cukup. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul berbasis inkuiri pada materi sistem saraf valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Saran yang diajukan peneliti yaitu 1) Kiranya guru mata pelajaran IPA-Biologi dapat menggunakan modul berbasis inkuiri sebagai bahan ajar, serta dapat memperluas wawasan siswa mengenai materi sistem saraf, 2) ntuk peneliti selanjutnya, modul berbasis inkuiri ini dapat di jadikan acuan dan referensi dalam penyusunan bahan ajar berupa modul yang relevan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Mind Mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA Biologi.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 65 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A berjumlah 22 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII-B berjumlah 22 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 2,748 dan ttabel sebesar 2,018. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa nilai thitung > ttabel. Karna nilai thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Mind Mappingberpengaruh terhadaphasil belajar kognitif siswa. diharapkan kepada setiap guru mata pelajaran IPA Biologi supaya menerapkan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping demi meningkatkan kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa, serta dapat memperbaiki cara belajar mengajar serta menjadi bahan referensi kepada peneliti lanjutan yang relevan dengan penelitian ini.

Abstract

Education is an attempt to guide children with the aim of developing the potential of students so that they become human beings who believe and are devoted to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become democratic and responsible citizens. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Scramble Learning Model on the Human Digestive System. This type of research uses quasi-experimental research (quasi-experiment). Quasi-experimental research is research intended to determine whether there are consequences of something imposed on the subjects being studied. The population of this study was the entire class of Class XI Science which consisted of two classes, namely class XI-IPAa as the experimental class and class XI-IPAb as the control class. Based on the results of the research conducted, there is an influence of the Scramble Learning Model on the Food Digestive System Material in Humans for the 2022/2023 Academic Year because the Scramble learning model makes students more creative in learning and thinking, studying the material more relaxed and without pressure because the Scramble learning model allows students to learn while playing and the material provided is impressive and always remembered by students. This can be seen from the results of data analysis, the average learning outcomes of students in the control class in the initial test were 60.86 (adequate) and the final test was 68.52 (adequate), while the average learning outcomes in the experimental class in the initial test were 64.44 (adequate) and the final test. 81.66 (good). The results of the two-party hypothesis test (t test) of the final test data obtained tcount = 6.69 and ttable = 2.00488 at a significance level of 5%, because tcount > ttable then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, namely there is an influence of the Scramble Learning Model on the Food Digestive System Material in Human Learning Year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dolomite administration at different concentrations on the growth of oyster mushroom(Pleurotus Ostreatus). This typi of research is a descriptive quatitativereseacth with a pure experimental method (True Experiment). The sample in this study is all oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus Ostreatus) that have been bred, consisting of 24 baglogs, the results of each treatment applied were: the first for the measurement of leaf area, namely P0=15,1 cm, P1=59 cm, P2=75 cm, P3=25,89 cm, P4=64,83, P5=107 cm.The second is the number of mushroom fruiting bodies, namely: P0=9pieces, P1=8 pieces, P2=6,pieces, P3=9,75 pieces, P4=6,75 lpieces, P5=8,25pieces,and the third is the weight of oyster mushroom leaves namely: P0=3,67 grams, P1=5,65 grams, P2=6,075 grams, P3=7,47 grams, P4=7,22 grams, P5=11,21 grams. The data in this is study were analyzed by normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using the SPSS 15.0 application. Based on the results of the study showed that there was an effect of using dolomite as a growth of oyster was an effect of using dolomite as a growthregulator on the growth of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus Ostreatus). In each treatment and replication, starting from the first treatment to the fifth treatment, the best growth of oyster mushroom was 50 grams (5th treatment). Suggestions from reseachers are that people should be able to use dolomite lime as a growth regulator for oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus Ostreatus).

Abstract

The purpose of carrying out this research is to determine the effect of the Group to Group Exchange learning model assisted by handouts on the science-biology learning outcomes of class VIISMP Private Imanuel Teluk in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study were all students in class VII of Imanuel Telukdalam Private Middle School. The sample for this research was class VII-1 with a total of 20 students and class VII-2 with a total of 18 students. The instrument used is a learning outcomes test which is divided into two, namely initial test and final test and documentation. Based on the results of data processing that has been carried out and hypothesis test calculations, tcount = 2.35 and ttable = 1.69. This shows the value of tcount ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Group to Group Exchange learning model assisted by Handouts on the Biology Science learning outcomes of class VIISMP Private Imanuel Teluk in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Some suggestions are: (1) Science-Biology subject teachers should apply the Group to Group Exchange learning model with the help of Handouts in accordance with the theoretical basis for carrying out the learning process; 2) students are expected to be more active in learning so as to obtain very satisfying results; 3) The results of this research should be used as comparison material for future researchers.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the effect of the Decision Making learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes. One solution to influence student learning outcomes, especially in the material on movement systems in plants, is through a Decision Making model that involves students directly, both individually and in groups, in learning activities. This research method is a quasi-experimental method which is quantitative, namely in the experimental class the Decision Making model is used, while in the control class the conventional method is used. The research results stated that in the control class the average learning outcomes on the pretest were sufficient and the average learning outcomes were good on the posttest. Meanwhile, in the experimental class by carrying out the pretest the average learning outcomes were sufficient and in the posttest the average learning outcomes were very good. The research conclusion based on hypothesis test calculations is that tcount is significantly greater than ttable. Because tcounts ttable, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means "there is an influence of the Decision Making learning model on student learning outcomes". The researcher's advice is for every Biology subject teacher to apply the Decision Making learning model in order to improve students' abilities, as well as improve teaching and learning methods and become reference material for future researchers who are relevant to this research.
