Abstract

Abstract

This study discusses the design of homestay information systems, information systems are computer applications that are used for businesses related to the business world, especially in data and information storage and processing systems so that they can run their business easily and smoothly. Homestay is a residence where several rooms are rented out to guests for a certain period of time to learn about a particular culture or local routine. Homestay District. Batu Aji which has 21 rooms Currently in Batu Aji only about 30% of the rooms have been occupied by room tenants, since the Covid-19 pandemic and the absence of promotional media from Homestay is less well known to the general public resulting in many unfilled rooms. So it is necessary to design a system and digital information technology and are expected to be able to provide solutions to the problems that exist in homestay rentals.

Abstract

The industrial era is now getting stricter in terms of job search criteria, so employees must improve consistency and ability to understand the work system well. Population Service is one of the public service organizations that serves the community in managing Identity Cards (KTP), Family Cards (KK). Work performance is one of the key elements in determining the success of the implementation of a service process. One method that can be used in employee performance analysis is the job sampling method. From the research sampling conducted for 5 days, 158 files were received, and the target set was 150. Based on the background above, it is not known whether the employee is productive or not, and how long the employee took to collect data. . To find out the performance of civil service employees at the Batam City Population Service. Based on the calculation of the standard time using the work sampling method with the Westinghouse adjustment factor, the standard time needed to serve the making of a KTP or KK is 3.79 minutes and the total productive is 401 or 93% and the non-productive is 31 or 7%. So that it can be said that the performance of public service employees at the Batam City Population Service Office is included in the productive group.

Abstract

This study discusses the Covid-19 virus outbreak throughout the world which paralyzes all levels of society, including the world of education. Therefore, educational institutions need to find solutions so that teaching and learning activities can continue. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the role of education management information systems and information technology in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method of writing this article is a literacy study. The results of the literacy study show that management information systems and information technology play a very important role in distance learning. Information technology acts as a container or learning tool, while information systems act as the brain in distance learning. However, before implementing distance learning, educational institutions need to provide several things such as distance learning infrastructure and ICT literacy for educators and students. These things are very important in achieving distance learning success.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the plastic material industry, this company strives to continue to meet product quality by predetermined specifications. The company experienced problems in the production of defective products. The goal is to reduce the level of product defects in packaged jar products. The method used is the Taguchi method. The results of quality control show that there is a decrease in the resulting Quality Loss Function (QLF), which is Rp. 109. 308.492 / year to Rp. 25,259,040/year, so there is a decrease of Rp. 7,004,121 /month or Rp. 84,049,452 /year.

Abstract

The method that will be used in this research is the Continuous improvement method. Process improvement using the Continuous improvement method can prevent abnormal welding processes, and it is carried out continuously so that it can improve work processes and achieve good employee productivity. The Work Sampling method is used to conduct a large number of observations on the work activities of machines, processes, workers or operators at the Welding Shop Department of PT. Cameron Systems Batam. Based on the research, the standard time of the current Bonnet welding process is 1167.5 minutes or equal to 19 hours 45 minutes for 1 unit of Bonnet welding. The focus of method improvement carried out on fishbone analysis, including Man (Operator), Method (Method), Material, Machine, (Machine), Measurements, Milieu (Environment) factors. It is an improvement priority that must be applied to the welding shop department in increasing the productivity of current employees.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang Oil dan Gas yang menerapkan sistem oil and gas dan memiliki risiko dan bahaya yang besar, sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja pada setiap tahapan kegiatan. Bahaya dan risiko dapat terjadi ketika kegiatan instalasi ventilasi dan kegiatan instalasi pendukung berlangsung, perlu untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya untuk mendapatkan data potensi bahaya, kemudian melakukan pembobotan untuk menentukan pengendalian rencana yang sesuai dengan kondisi Analisis potensi bahaya dan pengendalian risiko dalam penelitian ini menggunakan bahaya metode identifikasi, penilaian risiko dan pengendalian risiko (HIRARC) menggunakan kemungkinan dan penghematan parameter untuk mendapatkan nilai untuk setiap risiko bahaya. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, dan pengamatan kegiatan kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko yang teridentifikasi pada pengelasan di dalam ruangan terbatas terdapat 18 potensi bahaya yang mungkin terjadi. Analisis kuesioner menggunakan metode HIRARC menemukan: tingkat risiko dalam pengelasan di dalam ruangan terbatas yaitu risiko sedang (moderate risk) 11% dengan kriteria kurang nya udara dari luar dan pernafasan tidak teratur Risiko yang teridentifikasi dalam pemotongan dengan mesin plasma adalah 15 potensi bahaya yang mungkin terjadi. Analisis kuesioner menggunakan metode HIRARC menemukan tingkat risiko dalam pekerjaan pemotongan dengan mesin plasma yaitu resiko tinggi (high risk) 4% dengan kriteria terbakar jika tidak memakai sarung tangan, resiko sedang (medium risk) 11% dengan kebisingan saat motong pengendalian risiko menggunakan metode hierarki pengendalian, yaitu eliminasi, substitusi, pengendalian rekayasa, pengendalian administrasi, dan APD.

Abstract

Biodegradable plastics are an important thing to consider in order to meet environmentally friendly plastics. This study aims to determine the potential of crab waste and cassava peel waste as raw material for biodegradable plastics. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Microbiology Industry at the Technical Industry Academy of Makassar in Januari-April 2022. The research method used was an experimental method with simple statistical analysis techniques. This research uses three parameters : the power of elasticity, resistance to temperature and the ability to decompose. The result that chitosan concentration of 1 gram, 5 grams of starch and cassava peel, 15 ml glycerol gave the best results compared to the two other treatments at 4,623% elongation values​​, degraded faster and has a resistance to temperatures up to 100 ℃ for 2 hours

Abstract

Garbage is one of the causes of environmental pollution. In waste disposal, people usually combine metal and non-metal waste in one place so that the quality of environmental health decreases. This study aims to create a portable smart trash can with Metal & Non Metal separator. This research is an experimental research conducted through two stages, namely the design stage and the testing stage. This system consists of metal detector, ultrasonic sensor, IR proximity sensor, Inductive Proximity Sensor and servo motor. The test results are that the lid will automatically open because it is driven by a servo motor if the ultrasonic sensor detects the presence of a maximum human within 72 cm. If the metal and non-metal trash bins are full the lid will not open and the buzzer will sound. Furthermore, when inserting trash, if the inductive proximity sensor and capacitive proximity sensor is worth 1 then what is detected is metal trash and the servo will rotate and direct the trash to the metal bin. Likewise, if only the capacitive proximity sensor has a value of 1 and the inductive proximity sensor detects a metal value of 0, the servo will rotate and direct the garbage to the non-metal trash can.

Abstract

Currently technology is developing rapidly and has begun to enter into all aspects of the field, one of which is the development of network technology in the field of education. However, not all of these network technology developments have been implemented in SMK Negeri 5 Serang City, so that problems arise in the laboratory environment about how to analyze and utilize network technology to assist the teaching and learning process in the laboratory room. Network technology that will be applied later can assist in sharing data or devices in one laboratory room. Therefore, the author provides a solution by analyzing the need to design a local area network using a star topology. For the design of the local area network, this is only a design of the shape of the room with the number of computers that have been connected to the network. Where the results obtained from this research are in the form of analysis and design of local area networks in the laboratory of SMK Negeri 5 Serang City which can later be implemented further so that they can be applied in assisting the teaching and learning process in the laboratory space of SMK Negeri 5 Serang City
