Abstract

Banten is a medium used in Hindu religious ceremonies and also as a medium of prayer in getting closer to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa or God Almighty. Hindus are required to be able to know the meaning and method of making a banten, but along with the development of an increasingly modern era resulting in a high level of activity in big cities, one of which is Denpasar City, this underlies the tendency of people to prefer buying banten rather than making it. because of the limited time they have. This also underlies the development of a web-based mapping information system for banten piodalan stores in the city of Denpasar. The public will find it easy to find out the mapping of the locations of Banten shops in the city of Denpasar through the system. The system is also equipped with a marketplace feature that makes it easy for the public to make transactions to buy banten piodalan they want and those who want to make transactions in selling banten piodalan.

Abstract

This paper discusses the automatic transfer switch (ATS) in solar power plants. ATS is used to transfer the main electrical power to a backup power source (battery). PLN power cannot supply electricity continuously due to non-standard ATS installations, blackouts, disturbances to the generating system, and distribution system. Two ATS systems are proposed to control the switching process of PLN and PLTS automatically using inverter standby mode (ISM) and inverter off mode (IOM). The results of the application of ISM to PLN and PLTS can supply power needs based on switching techniques to avoid equipment damage. While IOM can save battery for inverter power supply.

Abstract

Robotic arms have been used in various processes such as for moving goods, welding, assembling, and painting. In the case of welding and painting, it is necessary to move the end-effector robot accurately and smoothly to follow the specified trajectory. In robotic arm control, 2 things are important to be analyzed and implemented in controlling the motion of the robotic arm, namely inverse kinematic and trajectory planning. In this study, the inverse kinematic and trajectory planning algorithms are implemented to the robotic arm controller in the form of an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller. The inverse kinematic solution uses geometric and algebraic analytical methods. while the trajectory planning method is using LSPB (Linear Segment Parabolic Blend) Trajectory in Cartesian Space. Data retrieval is done by giving 2 input coordinates of the desired position and orientation, then the data in the form of the joint angle value will be measured using a rotary encoder as an angle sensor. Furthermore, the joint angle measurement value is converted in cartesian coordinates to get the end-effector position. Data analysis is done by comparing the data value of each joint angle with the calculated value so that the error value appears. The results showed that the inverse kinematic and trajectory planning algorithms were successfully applied to the 6-DOF robotic arm to perform straight-flat welding movements. Inverse kinematic testing on both input coordinates, the average error value for joints 2, 3, and 5 is 1.82º, 1.26º, and 2.08º. Meanwhile, the average error of the end-effector position at the x and z coordinates is 2.08 mm and 12.9 mm, respectively. Then for the trajectory planning test, the error value for the end-effector position in the x and z coordinates is 2.25 mm and 10.7 mm.

Abstract

The processing of coal waste into building materials from fly ash bottom ash has been stipulated in Regulation number 22 of 2021 as Non-Hazardous material, with a note that the management requirements must still meet the standards and technical requirements set out and listed in the environmental document approval. Previous studiesstated that one of the physical characteristics of the use of this waste (fly ash bottom ash) can be in improving the quality of construction materials and environmental quality. The research questions of this study are: Does the facing east orientation quantitatively receiving more heat of the morning sun than other orientations? Does FABA brick walls affect the indoor thermal performance? The wall surface temperature measurement is carried out by the field experimentation with extreme climatic conditions, both sunny and rainy weather in 2021. The results of this study found that the surface temperature profile of the brick wall oriented to the east in sunny rainy/cold weather is cooler 2 % compared to the temperature on the western side. The wall surface temperature profile in the morning is 25% warmer than the ambient air temperature in sunny weather and 9% cooler in rainy weather. wall material with FABA brick proves that the orientation, location and character of the microclimate are significant to the thermal value.

Abstract

Multistage type cold storage is a refrigeration machine required in an industry because it functions to store food products for a long time. Bali, as a world tourist destination, will rely heavily on this cooling system in preparing services for tourists, especially in the food and beverage sector. Multistage type cold storage is designed to reach the evaporator temperature below -30oC thus the used compressor performance must be able to produce maximum refrigeration effect. Two compressors placed in succession or connected in series complete this cold storage system, which is expected to achieve higher operating pressures. The temperature occurring due to the pressure increase on the second compressor will be anticipated by installing an intercooler aiming at preventing excessive heat or over heat during the compression. The extent to which the important role of the intercooler as a stabilizer of operating temperature in this cooling cycle will be shown in its working cycle with a Mollier diagram (P-h diagram). The data obtained during the operation of the multistage type cold storage is then transferred to the P-h diagram of R134A to determine the cycle diagram and the enthalpy which then determines the amount of COP, the maximum temperature achieved by the system, and its energy requirements. The calculation results obtained using the intercooler COP is 1.83, and the maximum temperature achieved is 67oC, and the energy consumption seen from the total entalphy difference due to compression work is 81 kJ/kg. Without using the intercooler, the system’s COP is 1.72 and the maximum temperature achieved is 94.9oC and 86 kJ/kg of energy consumption. The energy required for the operational becomes more eficient and the heat released to the environment is much less, therefore the multistage cold storage with intercooler can be categorized as an eco-friendly technology.

Abstract

Refrigeration or cooling technology is increasing, especially regarding the coolant, almost all new vehicles now use air conditioning to condition the air in the vehicle cabin, but there are still many aspects that currently have not been paid much attention, especially to compressors, compressors for now still rely on the engine as a direct driver which makes fuel consumption more wasteful and reduces the performance of the vehicle. The purpose of this research is to modify a conventional compressor into an electric compressor by utilizing a split ac compressor. The research method uses the direct experimental method, can a split ac compressor replace a conventional compressor. Testing without changing a lot of the cooling system on the car, only changing the compressor without any other changes. The results of the research on split ac compressors can be applied to cars, but the cooling rate is slower than car ac compressors.

Abstract

The gate is a means of dividing the land between the house and the road. The gate also serves for security and comfort as a place to live. As a home security, the gate is made high and equipped with a safety lock. With a gate, you will feel comfortable because other people who come can't enter the house directly, and it's often difficult or overwhelmed when opening or closing the gate. In the case of a gate that has a large size and is also heavy, this will overwhelm us so that a lot of energy and time is needed. The automatic gate control device designed is an electric motor that makes it easier for people to open or close the gate by remote control while at home or at work. Based on the results of the design that has been made, the simulation of the automatic sliding gate control device is expected to solve the problems encountered in the field where the dimensions of the gate are 1500mm x 1000mm x 80mm with a weight of 27kg, the electric motor used is reversible AC which has a speed of 1300 RPM, a power of 60 watts and a 1: 60 gearbox which has become 1 part, the speed of the electric motor is transmitted by a gear with a diameter of 78mm, so that the average gate opening and closing speed is 12.52 and 13.21s with a difference of 0.69s, with the The controller used is the AK-T02 module and the AKJ027 remote can work up to a distance of 10 m. It is hoped that making this control device simulation can be a reference in making automatic gate control devices for homes and other gates.

Abstract

Temperature is a measure or degree of hotness or coldness of an object or system which is defined as a physical quantity that is divided between two or more objects that are in thermal equilibrium. The second law of thermodynamics states that there is no reversible process in which heat flows naturally from a high-temperature object to a low-temperature object, and not vice versa. Heat is energy that is transferred due to a temperature difference. This heat transfer always occurs and the process stops until thermal equilibrium occurs. In a high temperature distillation column, the distillate fluid will tend to be at the top and the bottom will tend to be cooler even though the heat treatment is carried out at the bottom. Thermal equilibrium is reached in a relatively long time because the distillation system is open. The addition of the pump aims to reconstruct the temperature so that it reaches thermal equilibrium more quickly. The process is carried out for 60 minutes using 25 liters of raw materials of the same quality and the temperature is set at 90 degrees Celsius. The average temperature difference in the reactor is 86.11%, the decrease in fuel consumption is 30.3%, and the increase in distillation quantity between the reactor without a pump compared to the reactor with a pump is 16.67%.

Abstract

Distillation is the process of separating two or more components of a liquid based on their boiling points in which the material to be evaporated is contained. Distillation is simply done by heating/evaporating the liquid and then changing the vapor phase to liquid with the help of a condenser. Research on the distillation column or reactor has been carried out to improve the distillation system but is still discussing the reactions that occur due to heating and the final product of the distillation process. An analysis based on the second law of thermodynamics is developed, known as exergy analysis to obtain information about the thermodynamic efficiency and locations that have low energy efficiency so that energy savings can be targeted. The distillation reactor as one of the vital tools at the separation stage is very important to note is the manufacture of the reactor. To reduce heat loss that occurs by adding a heat protective layer (heat cover) on the distillation reactor. The heat protection materials used are burlap sacks and glass wool to be implemented for rural communities and also become prototypes of appropriate technology application tools. The use of a 3 cm jute alloy on the inside and 3 cm glass wool on the outside gave the highest heat transfer value of 7864.21 watts. The increase was 43% of those who only used burlap. An increase of 37% over those using only glass wool. A 3% improvement over an alloy of 3 cm glass wool inside and 3 cm burlap on the outside.
