Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of differentiated instruction on the mathematical critical thinking ability of undergraduate students in the Mathematics Education Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang. The study is motivated by the demands of 21st-century education, which emphasize the development of higher-order thinking skills, particularly critical thinking in mathematics learning. A pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a mathematical critical thinking test based on indicators of analysis, evaluation, inference, and reasoning. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ mathematical critical thinking ability after the implementation of differentiated instruction. This approach enables the adaptation of content, process, and product according to students’ needs, thereby enhancing cognitive engagement and conceptual understanding. In conclusion, differentiated instruction has a positive effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking ability. This study contributes to the development of adaptive and inclusive learning strategies in higher education

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the picture and picture method to improve the numeracy skills of grade II students at SD Negeri 01 Mamben Daya for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects were grade II students at SD Negeri 01 Mamben Daya with a total of 31 students consisting of 17 boys and 14 girls. The results of this study indicate that the results of the evaluation using a written test in the form of multiple choices to find out the acquisition of students' numeracy skills are quite good, namely from the first cycle the results were 64%, which then increased by 20% so that the proportion of completeness in the second cycle became 84% with an average class cycle I of 64 which then increased in cycle II to 84. Thus the application of the picture and picture method to improve numeracy skills in class II students at SD Negeri 01 mamben daya for the 2022/2023 academic year can improve participants' numeracy skills educate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh nilai siswa yang masih tergolong rendah, dimana banyak siswa belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Hasil prasiklus menunjukan dari 12 siswa hanya 33,3% yang berhasil mencapai KKM dan 66,7% masi belum tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi operasi perkalian siswa kelas II SDN 2 Belanting dengan menerapkan metode bermain kartu bilangan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bermain kartu bilangan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 2 SDN 2 Belanting pada materi operasi perkalian. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa jumlah siswa yang tuntas meningkat secara signifikan dari siklus sebelumnya dengan ketuntasan 4 siswa dengan skor rata-rata 63,75 dan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 41,83. Kemudian pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan siswa yang tuntas menjadi 7 siswa dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 70,83 dan ketuntasan sebesar 68,24%. Pada siklus II jumlah siswa yang tuntas bertambah menjadi 10 siswa menjadi 27 siswa dengan skor rata-rata 80,08%.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low mathematics learning outcomes of integer arithmetic operations material in grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Manjung. This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes of integer arithmetic operations material using a contextual approach. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The subjects of the study were all grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Manjung in the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 16 students. Data collection techniques include observation, essay test questions, documentation. Based on the classroom action research that has been carried out, it was found that the contextual approach can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Manjung. This can be seen from the initial conditions of mathematics learning outcomes that the number of students who achieved KKM was 37.5% with an average score of 61.25 increasing to 56.25% with an average score of 68.13 in cycle I and reaching 75% with an average score of 74.38 in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that implementing a contextual approach can improve the learning outcomes of mathematics on the material of integer arithmetic operations for grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Manjung in the 2024/2025 academic year

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Linktree-based learning media for the Introduction to Education course that is valid and practical. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate stages. In the analysis phase, a need assessment was conducted to identify students’ needs for technology-based learning media. The results indicated that most students require learning media that are flexible, interactive, and accessible online. The developed product is a digital Linktree platform containing various learning features such as brainstorming, videos, materials, motivation, and quizzes. The validation results showed that the media achieved a score of 93.25% (very valid), while the material validation reached 94% (very valid). The practicality test results showed 96.3% in the small group test and 96.2% in the field test, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, the developed Linktree-based learning media is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends on scientific attitude in science education during 2016–2025 by combining bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review (SLR). The bibliometric data were retrieved from the Dimensions database. The search was conducted using the keyword “scientific attitude research in science education” within the 2016–2025 publication range. In the initial stage, the search using the full data option yielded 1,257,505 documents under the publications category. To improve the relevance of the dataset to the focus of the study, the search was then restricted to the occurrence of the keyword in the title and abstract fields, reducing the dataset to 2,679 publications, which were then exported for bibliometric analysis. The data were analyzed using VOSviewer, while the SLR of 27 selected articles was conducted to identify major themes, methodological approaches, research contexts, and key findings. The results indicate a significant increase in publications on scientific attitude over the past decade. Bibliometric mapping highlights learning, teachers, culture, community, and effectiveness as central themes in the research network. The SLR findings show that scientific attitude is commonly developed through inquiry-based learning, contextual learning experiences, and the integration of local culture into science education. However, studies that explicitly integrate ethnoscience reconstruction into instructional tools to foster scientific attitude remain limited. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of developing contextual, culture-based, and ethnoscience-oriented science learning to strengthen scientific attitude.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by PhET Interactive Simulations on the topic of dynamics of motion in the School Field Introduction Program as part of the Campus Impact Program. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Mataram during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects consisted of 36 eleventh-grade students in Phase F. Data were collected through tests and observations. The research instruments included multiple-choice test sheets and observation sheets for students’ attitudes and skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics through mean scores, percentages, and interpretation of learning outcome categories. The results showed that the implementation of the discovery learning model assisted by PhET Interactive Simulations had a positive impact on students’ learning outcomes. In the cognitive aspect, students achieved an average score of 85.38, categorized as very good. In the affective aspect, the average score reached 76.39, categorized as good, as reflected in the development of critical thinking, independence, collaboration, creativity, and noble character. In the psychomotor aspect, students obtained an average score of 80.92, categorized as good, particularly in observing, questioning, predicting, conducting investigations, and communicating results. The findings indicate that the implementation of discovery learning supported by digital simulation media was able to create an active, interactive, and meaningful physics learning environment while representing the practical implementation of the Campus Impact Program in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of alternative science kits made from recycled materials on elementary school students’ motivation and understanding of science concepts. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall development model, which includes the stages of preliminary information gathering, planning, product development, testing, revision, and final product implementation. The alternative science kits were developed using simple materials and recyclable waste materials that are easily found in the surrounding environment, such as plastic bottles, cardboard, straws, used wood, and other recycled materials. The developed products included a simple submarine, hydrostatic pressure apparatus, water wheel, air rocket, magic egg experiment, miniature volcano, and simple electricity generator. The research subjects were students of SD Negeri 6 Mataram. Data collection techniques included observation, student response questionnaires, and science concept understanding tests. The results showed that the use of alternative science kits was able to create a more active, engaging, and interactive science learning environment. Students were more enthusiastic in participating in learning activities because they could conduct experiments directly. Questionnaire results indicated that 78% of students strongly agreed with the use of alternative science kits in science learning. The use of simple teaching aids also helped students understand science concepts more concretely through direct experience and simple experimental activities. Therefore, alternative science kits made from recycled materials can serve as an innovative and economical solution to improve elementary school students’ motivation and understanding of science concepts.
