Abstract

Signalized intersections are points in the transportation network where vehicles from various directions meet. They are critical points for traffic jams, and this is an application of applied science in the technology field. The vehicle queue length is one of the performance parameters of a signalized intersection. Long queues of vehicles pose a high risk of accidents involving many vehicles. Feedback signal control (actuated signal control) can improve intersection performance. One variable that can be used as feedback input is the vehicle queue length. Traffic in Indonesia is mixed traffic where various vehicles use the same road lane and with low lane discipline. This causes the traffic system to become complex stochastic, and non-linear. Modeling queue length using a static linear algorithm cannot capture the phenomenon of this complex traffic system. Therefore, this research aims to build a machine learning-based queue length model using artificial neural networks (ANN). This model studies the traffic system with historical data so that it can model queue lengths with reasonable accuracy through the training process. The estimation model was built and applied to the Muara Rapak signalized intersection, Balikpapan. Data on queue length for 10 days, 2 hours/day, was obtained using CCTV and direct field surveys. The model testing results show that ANN has a good level of accuracy with MAE, RMSE, and MAPE of 3.8 m, 4.9 m, and 6%, respectively.

Abstract

Pengujian beberapa varietas tebu telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sungai Asam Kecamatan Kayu Aro Barat Kabupaten Kerinci Provinsi Jambi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mengamati pertumbuhan tanaman tebu yang tumbuh baik sebagai penghasil gula merah. Kegiatan pengkajian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok, dengan perlakuan empat varietas tebu unggul dan satu tebu lokal sebagai pembanding. Masing-masing varietas ditanam berupa demplot dengan ulangan 4x. Adapun varietas tebu unggul yang diuji adalah : V1 = PS 951 ; V2 = Bululawang (BL), V3 = POJ 3016 ; V4 = PS 864 dan V5 = Tebu lokal Kerinci. Hasil pengujian memperlihatkan bahwa ada 3 varietas tebu yang tumbuh baik yaitu PS 951, BL dan tebu lokal. Varietas PS 951 lebih baik pertumbuhan nya dibandingkan varietas BL, POJ 30161, PS 864 dan varietas lokal. Pertumbuhan ketiga varietas ini tidak berbeda nyata, namun varietas lokal Kerinci mempunyai nilai brix atau rendemen yang tinggi karena sudah beradaptasi dengan daerah dataran tinggi, sehingga mempunyai prospek yang baik untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Kerinci. Tanaman tebu lokal Kerinci, telah dilepas menjadi tebu lokal unggul nasional pada tahun 2016 kerjasama BPTP, Balittas dan Pemda Kab. Kerinci dengan nama “POJ 2878 Agribun Kerinci. Dari hasil analisis ekonomi tanaman tebu “POJ 2878 Agribun Kerinci, dengan pengelolaan cara petani, produksi gula merah dapat mencapai 8.320 kg/ha/tahun, jika harga gula merah Rp 7.500,-/kg dapat menghasilkan sekitar Rp 3.813.333,- (tiga juta delapan ratus tiga belas ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh tiga rupiah)/ha/bln. Jika pengolahan nira tebu diolah menjadi produk gula semut, dapat menghasilkan gula semut sekitar 5.120 kg/ha. Dengan harga gula semut Rp 15.000,-/kg pendapatan petani setara dengan Rp 5.013.333,- (lima juta tiga belas ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh tiga rupiah) per hektar/bulan. dimana petani akan memperoleh nilai tambah sebesar Rp 1.200.00,- (satu juta dua ratus ribu rupiah) lebih tinggi. Dengan inovasi teknologi sesuai dengan rekomendasi teknologi, produksi tebu POJ 2878 Agribun Kerinci masih berpotensi untuk ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Seeds are an essential means of agricultural production, as well as being a carrier of technological change. The increase in rice production was caused by using superior varieties accompanied by better cultivation techniques compared to previous times. However, currently, superior and quality rice seeds are not available at planting locations, which can be realized based on applied science in the field of agriculture. The aim of the study is to build and open up rice seed business opportunities that can increase the productivity of rice plants and the income of breeder farmers. The New Superior Varieties used in this activity are VUB Baroma and Inpari Nutri Zinc FS/White label. The results of the study showed that the Baroma variety obtained a production of 6.9 t/ha, of which 4.5 tonnes of seed could be used, and the Inpari Nutri Zinc variety obtained a yield of 5.686 tonnes/ha, of which 3.2 tonnes of yield could be used as seed. The results of the farming analysis show that if the Baroma variety is used as seed, a profit of Rp. 35,420,000 with an R/C ratio of 4.69 and the Inpari Nutri Zinc variety, if used as seed, makes a profit of Rp. 29,420,000 with an R/C ratio of 4.07. The VUB Baroma rice seed farming business and Inpari Nutri Zinc provide higher profits than the consumption farming business with the difference between Baroma and Inpari Nutri Zinc profits each being IDR. 11,600,000/ha.

Abstract

Upaya meningkatkan efisiensi reproduksi ternak sapi melalui IB sudah diterapkan secara luas di masyarakat. Pelaksanaan program IB juga mencakup penanganan beberapa kasus kegagalan reproduksi pada ternak betina. Kebanyakan penyebab terjadinya kasus gangguan reproduksi berakar pada permasalahan kualitas pakan. Oleh karenanya perbaikan pakan memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja reproduksi ternak sapi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh respon dari ternak dan peternak terhadap penerapan pakan sapi introduksi pada kelompok tani dalam kondisi eksisting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga September 2019 di Desa Kotabaru Kecamatan Geragai Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Pemilihan lokasi pengkajian dan kelompok tani kooperator ditentukan secara purposive. Kegiatan dimulai dengan koordinasi, peninjauan lokasi, identifikasi kepemilikan dan status reproduksi ternak. Hasil identifikasi ditetapkan dua kelompok tani sebagai kooperator yaitu kelompok tani Sukamaju dan kelompok tani Sumber Jaya. Diperoleh data bahwa 10 ekor sapi betina yang layak mendapat perlakuan dari kedua kelompok tani tersebut. Perlakuan berupa introduksi penggunaan bahan pakan basal dan aditif, terdiri dari daun indigofera, solid sawit dan aditif minoxvit. Pelaksanaan pemberian pakan introduksi dilakukan selama 60 hari dan pengamatan perkembangan reproduksi dilakukan hingga bulan keempat semenjak perlakuan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa 70% dari sapi perlakuan mengalami perbaikan kondisi reproduksi dibanding kondisi sebelumnya. Sebanyak 3 dari 4 ekor induk yang mengalami postpartum anestrus (PPA) sebelumnya telah dinyatakan bunting 2 ekor dan estrus 1 ekor. Separuh dari 4 ekor dara yang mengalami anestrus telah menunjukan gejala estrus. Satu ekor sapi yang mengalami repeat breading karena sudah 4 kali di-IB tidak kunjung bunting telah dinyatakan bunting pada bulan ke 3. Introduksi penggunaan bahan pakan alternatif berhasil meningkat kinerja reproduksi sapi bali betina di lokasi pengkajian. Peternakan juga memberikan respon yang baik terhadap penggunaan pakan tersebut.

Abstract

Dalam upaya mengembangkan sistem usahatani dan kelembagaan tanaman padi di suatu wilayah diperlukan pendekatan hubungan antara kelompok tani dengan kelembagaan lain yang mendukung. Dengan terjalinnya kerja sama kelembagaan yang baik, masalah yang dihadapi petani bisa diserahkan sekaligus diharapkan terjadi difusi teknologi melalui lembaga atau institusi terkait di daerah. Dengan memberdayakan kelembagaan yang mendukung adopsi teknologi yang diberikan kepada kelompok tani FSA (Farming System Analysis) dalam bentuk kerja sama akan membantu memecahkan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi petani. Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan kajian analisis rekayasa kelembagaan penunjang teknologi usahatani tanaman padi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di desa Rawa Medang, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, dengan tujuan menemukan perlakuan/intervensi yang efektif dan meningkatkan pemberdayaan, serta kerja sama kelembagaan guna menjamin adopsi teknologi sistem usahatani tanaman padi yang berkelanjutan. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini dengan menerapkan metode Participatory Research Appraisal (PRA), untuk menggali masalah yang dihadapi oleh petani tanaman padi. Alternatif intervensi yaitu dibentuknya beberapa kelompok tani atau dapat disebut Gapoktan yang diberi nama Karya Bakti, diskusi singkat tentang sistem usahatani tanaman padi , melihat kebutuhan mendesak kelompok tani, dan menghubungkannya dengan lembaga pendukung. Bedasarkan hasil PRA maka permasalahan yang diperioritaskan (1) Adanya hama keong, (2) Benih unggul bersetifikat, (3) Penyakit busuk batang, (4), modal, (5) pupuk bersubsidi, (6) pertemuan antara kelompok belum maksimal. dan (7) bimbingan teknis untuk tanaman padi.Tujuan menemukan perlakuan/intervensi yang efektif dan meningkatkan pemberdayaan, serta kerja sama kelembagaan guna menjamin adopsi teknologi sistem usahatani tanaman padi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The industrial sector contributed the most to total non-oil and gas exports in Jambi Province. Rubber and its processed products are the main export commodities in the industrial sector. The export value of rubber and its products increased in 2017 but decreased again from 2018 to 2020. The decline in exports harmed the economy in Jambi Province. It is necessary to predict the export value of rubber and its products in the coming period. Forecasting is done on time series data using the ARIMA and SARIMA models. The best model for modeling the export value of rubber and its products in Jambi Province is SARIMA (0,1,1)(0,0,1)12. It is predicted that the export value of rubber and its processed products will decrease by around 4 percent in 2022. And decrease by around 5 percent in 2023. The results of this forecast can be used as an early warning in making policies related to exports in the coming period.

Abstract

Evaluation of Nutrient Status and Recommendations for Fertilization of paddy rice. The assessment was carried out in Batin III Ulu District, Bungo Jambi Regency with a rice field area of 655 ha spread across 8 (eight) villages. This study aims to evaluate the nutrient status and determine fertilization recommendations in paddy rice. The study used a description method based on field observations and laboratory analysis. Examples of composite soils resulting from the field, analyzed the nutrient status of N, P, and K as well as soil pH with the Paddy Soil Test Kit. Based on the value of the N, P, K nutrient status test, it is determined to recommend fertilizer application. N fertilizer during the growth period is applied 3 (three) times, namely at planting time (before 14 DAP), without the use of LCC (leaf colour chart), the second fertilization on active tillering stadia (21-28 DAP), and the third on flower primordia stadia (50 days after planting). The results of the nutrient status analysis with STD, the P and K nutrient status of the soil are grouped into three classes, namely low, medium, and high. From the P and K status classes of the soil, recommendations for fertilization P (SP-36) and K (KCl) are made. The results showed that the obstacle to increasing the productivity of paddy rice in this area is that the content of N, P and K is generally low, and the soil pH ranges from 5-6. Therefore, to increase the productivity of paddy rice yields, it is recommended to apply inorganic fertilizers (N, P, and K) and the addition of organic matter. Based on the results of soil analysis and the nutrient status of paddy soils, site-specific N, P and K fertilization recommendations were obtained. Fertilizers used in the form of Urea, SP-36 and KCl, without the addition of organic matter and with the addition of organic matter.

Abstract

Cinnamon is one of leading plantation commodity in Jambi Province, especially in Kerinci Regency, and has an enormous portion as the country's revenue. In addition, cinnamon is a multi-functional plant that can be used in industry, besides functioning as land conservation. However, seed support and technology studies need to be more considered and implemented. The purpose of this paper was to describe the seeds and cultivation innovation technology for cinnamon in Jambi Province. The study was carried out in several sub-districts in Karinci in 2018, using selected mother trees, demonstration plot for harvest and post-harvest analysis. The results show that recently the need for cinnamon seeds still has not sufficient. However, more than 4.000 cinnamon seeds have been distributed and provided with technology assistance for local Kerinci farmers. Dissemination of institutional cinnamon production guidelines and certification of cinnamon seedlings has been carried out in several farmers. The package of cinnamon technology components has been studied and disseminated within this Kerinci areas.

Abstract

The durian plant (Durio zibethinus Murr.) is known as a wet tropical fruit native to Indonesia. The durian plant is a native Indonesian fruit with uneven production throughout the year. Nationally, durian plants experience harvest seasons that are not simultaneous. Durian is very popular with everyone, so that some call it the king of fruits or the queen of fruits. Besides the fruit being sweet, fragrant with yellowish-white flesh color and rich in calories, vitamins, fat and protein, the stems can also be used as a building material. This study used participatory observation methods and in-depth interviews to obtain qualitative descriptive data with village officials, village communities and durian farmers in the Sitinjau Laut sub-district, Keliling Danau sub-district and Danau Kerinci sub-district. Based on research results, there are still many types of local superior durian plants in the community and need to be rescued because their number and whereabouts are difficult to track down and are very few and old. Types of durian in Kerinci Regency are very diverse in shape and type, each of which has advantages and disadvantages. There are still many types of superior durian with superior properties that are not inferior to other types of regional durian. The type of durian that has been recorded is a superior type that is already rare because there are very few of them.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze optimism in coronary heart patients and optimism in coronary heart patients based on gender differences as the novelty of this research compared to previous studies and it is the result of applied science in the field of public health. This type of research is survey research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 213 patients with coronary heart disease who had been clinically diagnosed by a doctor and were undergoing outpatient treatment at the Arifin Achmad Hospital in Pekanbaru. The number of samples in this study was 139 people. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential data analysis using the t-test. The results of the study show that there are differences in optimism in terms of gender in coronary heart patients. Therefore, these findings are useful for the development of positive psychology in the context of coronary heart patients.
