Abstract

Cattle breed identification presents a challenge in modern livestock management, particularly for breeds exhibiting high morphological similarities. This study aims to optimize cattle breed image classification performance using the ResNet-50 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture. The research methodology begins with preprocessing, which includes image resizing to 224×224 pixels, normalization, and the application of Data Augmentation to enhance training data diversity. The model was trained using the Adam optimizer with specific hyperparameter setting scenarios. The primary focus of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Transfer Learning method compared to training from scratch. The dataset consists of 1,251 morphological images distributed across 5 breed classes (Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Holstein Friesian, Jersey, and Red Dane). Experimental results demonstrate a significant performance disparity. The model trained from scratch achieved a maximum accuracy of only 81%, whereas the Transfer Learning-based model attained an accuracy of 95%. This 14% accuracy improvement demonstrates that utilizing pre-trained weights combined with Data Augmentation is highly effective in recognizing the visual characteristics of cattle breeds with high precision.

Abstract

Depression among college students has become an increasingly common problem due to academic pressure, emotional distress, and an unbalanced lifestyle. This condition often goes undetected in its early stages, necessitating a method that can assist in identifying the severity of depression among students. This study uses the C4.5 Decision Tree method to classify the level of student depression based on several variables, such as sleep quality, academic workload, age, and academic performance. The data obtained was analyzed to identify the most influential factors in the classification process. The results of the study indicate that sleep quality and academic workload are the most influential factors in determining students’ depression levels. The resulting model was able to group the data with a reasonably high level of accuracy according to the characteristics of each class. The C4.5 method can be used to support the early detection of student depression because it can clearly and easily demonstrate the relationships between variables. This research can still be further developed by improving data quality and adjusting the method to optimize classification results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the intention to use and usage behavior of the Digital Korlantas Polri application by employing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) approach. A quantitative method with explanatory research was applied, involving 100 respondents who were users of the Digital Korlantas application selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Path analysis was used to examine the relationships among variables. The findings indicate that Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions significantly influence Behavioral Intention, while Effort Expectancy has no significant effect. Furthermore, Facilitating Conditions and Behavioral Intention significantly affect Use Behavior. These results suggest that perceived usefulness, social support, availability of supporting facilities, and accessibility play important roles in increasing users’ intentions and actual usage of the Digital Korlantas Polri application. This study is expected to provide valuable insights for developers and relevant stakeholders in improving the quality and effectiveness of digital public service applications.

Abstract

Advancements in information technology have led to a significant increase in the use of online travel agent (OTA) services based on digital applications, one of which is Traveloka. Amid increasingly intense competition in digital services, user experience (UX) plays a crucial role in determining user satisfaction and loyalty, as well as in supporting better decision-making within Management Information Systems (MIS). This study aims to evaluate the quality of user experience in the Traveloka application by utilizing UX data as a consideration in managerial evaluation. The research adopts a quantitative approach using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) instrument, which assesses six dimensions: attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 users of the Traveloka application and subsequently analyzed using the UEQ Data Analysis Tool. The results show that all UEQ dimensions achieved positive mean scores. Based on benchmark comparisons, the dimensions of efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty fall into the Excellent category, while attractiveness and perspicuity are classified as Above Average. These findings indicate that the Traveloka application provides a very high-quality user experience and can support the performance of Management Information Systems, particularly in enhancing operational efficiency, system reliability, and user satisfaction.

Abstract

Presensi siswa merupakan elemen penting dalam administrasi pendidikan. Namun, banyak lembaga pendidikan masih menggunakan metode kehadiran konvensional yang kurang efektif serta rentan terhadap kesalahan dokumentasi dan pengolahan informasi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem kehadiran siswa berbasis kartu RFID yang terintegrasi dengan ESP32 dan platform web lokal, sehingga memungkinkan proses kehadiran yang lebih tepat, efisien, dan mudah digunakan. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah model pengembangan Waterfall, yang mencakup fase analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan sistem. Sistem ini menggunakan modul RFID RC522 untuk identifikasi siswa, ESP32 sebagai pengontrol utama, dan web lokal untuk administrasi data kehadiran. Pengujian fungsional dilakukan melalui teknik pengujian black box dengan skala Guttman, yang menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur utama sistem berhasil terverifikasi sesuai skenario pengujian terbatas. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dirancang beroperasi dengan baik, efisien, dan mudah digunakan, sehingga layak untuk diimplementasikan di sekolah.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di bidang pendidikan. Namun, penggunaan media pembelajaran konvensional yang masih berbasis dua dimensi menyebabkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi bersifat abstrak, khususnya pada materi sistem gerak manusia bagian sendi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru dan siswa di SMAN 1 Kalasan, diketahui bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan jenis-jenis sendi akibat keterbatasan media visualisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada materi sendi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Media yang dikembangkan menyajikan model tiga dimensi sendi yang dapat dipelajari secara interaktif melalui perangkat seluler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian oleh ahli media memperoleh skor 88,2% dengan kategori sangat layak, ahli materi sebesar 79% dengan kategori sangat layak, serta uji pengguna sebesar 97,57% dengan kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, uji efektivitas menunjukkan skor 79% dengan kategori efektif. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis AR yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi sendi, serta dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah atas.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media on nervous system material for ninth-grade students. The main problem underlying this study is the difficulty students have in visualizing abstract and microscopic concepts of the nervous system, such as the mechanism of impulse transmission, using conventional 2D media. The research method used was Research & Development (R&D) by applying the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development framework. With a score of 93.75% from media experts, 81.67% from subject matter experts, and 83.67% from user (student) responses, this media was deemed Very Feasible. The effectiveness test proved a significant increase in student academic achievement, with an average final score of 91, exceeding the initial average of 62. The N-Gain Score analysis result was 0.77, which is in the High category, with an effectiveness rate of 77%, which is in the Effective category.

Abstract

Global crude oil prices are a highly volatile economic indicator influenced by various dynamic factors, requiring forecasting methods capable of capturing both linear and non-linear patterns in time series data. This study aims to evaluate the performance of ARIMA, Random Forest, and LSTM models in predicting West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices. The dataset consists of 1,316 daily closing price records from January 2020 to December 2024 obtained from Investing.com. The data were divided using a time-based split approach with a ratio of 80% for training and 20% for testing to preserve temporal characteristics. Model evaluation was conducted using MAE, MSE, RMSE, MAPE, and R-squared. The results indicate that LSTM achieved the best performance with an MAE of 2.914, RMSE of 3.66, MAPE of 0.854%, and an R² of 0.8514. In contrast, ARIMA and Random Forest produced negative R² values, indicating limitations in capturing the non-linear dynamics of oil prices. These findings confirm the effectiveness of deep learning approaches for crude oil price forecasting

Abstract

The use of information technology–based learning systems has increasingly developed and become an important part of supporting the learning process. The Learning Management System (LMS) used at Education Priority serves as the main platform for learning activities and learning evaluation. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the service quality of the system to determine the level of conformity between the services provided and user expectations. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method by distributing questionnaires to 172 LMS user respondents. The research instrument was developed based on the five Servqual dimensions: Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The analysis was conducted by comparing perception and expectation scores and calculating the gap values. The results indicate that the LMS service quality has not fully met user expectations, with an average gap value of -0.0505. The Reliability dimension has the largest gap (-0.09), while the Empathy dimension has the smallest gap (-0.01).

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology today requires schools to be able to deliver information quickly, accurately, and easily accessible to everyone. However, SMP Negeri 14 Samarinda still faces several challenges in disseminating this information. Therefore, this study aims to develop a school profile website. This website will function as an information system to improve services and data management within the school. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D), applying the SDLC Waterfall model. The website is built using the Laravel framework. The system testing is conducted using Black Box Testing and Usability Testing methods. The results show that the system runs well, with an effectiveness level reaching 100%. In addition, the system has achieved an excellent usability category.
