Abstract

Small-medium enterprises (SMEs) generally have constraints on their performance efficiency and productivity. It affects the ability of MSMEs to compete in the global market. Therefore, the mapping of SME conditions needs to be analyzed. This study aims to map the SME conditions and find out SME’s sustainability index. This study uses a multidimensional scaling method through ecological, social, economic, technological, and institutional dimensions. A case study was carried out at Banana Chips SMEs in Lampung Province. These SMEs are the mainstays of Lampung Province. The results show that the SME condition was divided into three categories: poor, good, and very good. The status of the sustainability of MSMEs in each dimension was divided into two groups, namely the poor category for the technology dimension and good category both for the ecological, social, economic, and institutional dimensions. The results of the mapping of SME’s sustainability index produced several improvement strategies for SMEs.

Abstract

The company ‘X’ plans to build a new coal terminal as the  strategy to take over the infrastructure and improve the service level for the customers. This idea was triggered by the  projection of future local demand due to the Mega Project (10,000 MegaWatt) and the financial capability of the company are also became the background of developing the new coal terminal. The objective of this research is to analyze the performance of distribution system with the developmentof new port and stockpile. The performance measure are reliability, cost, responsiveness, and flexibility of the distribution system. The main methods using in this research are system modelling and simulation. The first step for doing this research is developing existing distribution system model and the new model (with port and stockpile). Running the simulation of that model was done by designing the two scenario, i.e. using the fixed demand of product from PLTU and increasing of demand of products doe to the development of new power plant. The results from simulation and performance measurement for both distribution model show that the founding of new coal terminal for the company will affect positively to the performance of its distribution system.

Abstract

This paper discusses periodic vehicle routing problems that allow vehicles to travel on multiple trips in a single day. It is known as the Multi-Trip Periodic Vehicles (MTPVRP) Problem Route. Cluster-first route-second (CFRS) heuristics to solve MTPVRP was proposed in this study. In phase 1, customers were divided into clusters using the formulation of integer programming. Phase 2 determined the route of the cluster and verifies that the total journey time to visit the trips does not exceed the working hours of the vehicle. The implementation of the heuristic CFRS to solve the real problem faced by the LPG distributor shows that the procedure could provide a better routing solution.

Abstract

Every company certainly wants to increase their productivity, such as by increasing the amount of production. However, as goes by production, important to notice the aspects surrounding of the environment performance. Therefore we need a method to improve productivity and environmental performance simultaneously. The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect the productivity and environmental performance, and provide suggestions using the method of Green Productivity improvements based on the highest value of Green Productivity Index. Based on research in PG Kebon Agung there are two alternative solutions that improve productivity and environmental performance, but the GPI of alternative 2 is bigger than ternative 1 which is 4,47. The alternative is additional outlet capacity at waste treatment plants. This solution provides increased productivity, where the initial productivity of 136.045% to 136.05%. With the implementation of alternative solutions can improve EPI index up 0.32 so to give an increase in the Index EPI (Environmental Performance Indicator) from 0.46 became 0.78
