Abstract

Earthquakes are natural events that are difficult to predict and are always causing casualties or major damage. The concept of mitigation associated with the earthquake hazard requires a hazard map that can be used as the basis of land use regulation in order to avoid casualties in case of disaster. Map of the earthquake hazard have been prepared based on a combination of geologic map information; lithology (rock structure) map, earthquake intensity map, slope map, and a map of fault lines. GIS Method of multi-criteria analysis is used as a means of model simulation. The result of the disaster analysis map shows 13% of the area categorized as low or very prone to stability in case of earthquakes, with the main factor is the existence of fault lines. The result of comparison with previous studies showing there is a similarity level of damage and disaster map analysis, with notes need to increase the level of detail map geological information to improve the accuracy of maps of disaster.Keywords: earthquake, hazard, GIS, multi-criteria analysisABSTRAKGempa adalah kejadian alam yang sulit diprediksi dan selalu menimbulkan korban jiwa maupun kerusakan yang besar. Konsep mitigasi terkait dengan bencana gempa bumi memerlukan sebuah peta bahaya yang bisa dijadikan dasar pengaturan penggunaan lahan dengan tujuan menghindari korban jika terjadi bencana. Peta bencana gempa bumi disusun berdasarkan kombinasi peta informasi geologi yaitu peta litologi (struktur batuan), peta intensitas gempa, peta kelerengan, dan peta jalur patahan. Metode GIS multi-kriteria analisis digunakan sebagai alat simulasi model . Hasil peta analisis bencana menunjukan 13% area masuk kategori stabilitas rendah atau sangat rawan jika terjadi gempa bumi, dengan faktor utama yaitu keberadaan jalur patahan. Hasil komparasi dengan studi-studi sebelumnya menunjukan ada kesamaan tingkat kerusakan dan peta bencana hasil analisis, dengan catatan perlu adanya peningkatan tingkat kedetailan peta informasi geologi untuk meningkatkan akurasi peta bencana.Kata kunci: gempa bumi, rawan, SIG, analisa multi kriteria

Abstract

Small-medium enterprises (SMEs) generally have constraints on their performance efficiency and productivity. It affects the ability of MSMEs to compete in the global market. Therefore, the mapping of SME conditions needs to be analyzed. This study aims to map the SME conditions and find out SME’s sustainability index. This study uses a multidimensional scaling method through ecological, social, economic, technological, and institutional dimensions. A case study was carried out at Banana Chips SMEs in Lampung Province. These SMEs are the mainstays of Lampung Province. The results show that the SME condition was divided into three categories: poor, good, and very good. The status of the sustainability of MSMEs in each dimension was divided into two groups, namely the poor category for the technology dimension and good category both for the ecological, social, economic, and institutional dimensions. The results of the mapping of SME’s sustainability index produced several improvement strategies for SMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the state of energy security in East Sumba, one of the four regencies dividing the Island of Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. This region was chosen for this study as it is popularly known as the Iconic Island of Renewable Energy. Data was gathered by applying expert interview method and analytical hierarchy process. In sum, 30 source persons dealing with the energy security issue were interviewed: 11 government officials (G), 8 businessmen (B), 5scholars (A), 4 from the common society (C), and 2 from a financial institution. This study applied energy security index to assess energy security in East Sumba. The data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis and Eckenrode method, with energy security as a criterion. The study results show that the energy security index based on renewable resources in East Sumba is still relatively low (5.91). East Sumba is rich in natural sources of energy, such as sunlight, water, biomass, wind, and biogas. Factors such as poor affordability lead to a low energy security index in East Sumba, which is often a result of poverty. The natural vast hilly and grassland topography and the decentralized settlement of the people of East Sumba also lead to poor accessibility of energy. Moreover, the supporting infrastructure, such as roads, also causes a low index of energy security. The lack of an institutional model also discourages investors from investing in East Sumba. The electrification ratio in East Sumba is still low, reaching only 31%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Usaha perkebunan kelapa sawit di Kabupaten Bengkalis didominasi oleh usaha perkebunan rakyat yang memiliki produk utama berupa Tandan Buah Segar (TBS). Jumlah produksi TBS tersebut sangat tinggi, namun pengelolaan rantai pasok TBS dirasakan masih kurang efisien sehingga pendapatan petani rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan jaringan distribusi komoditi sangat panjang serta fluktuasi harga pada saat distribusi TBS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan rantai nilai kelapa sawit di Kabupaten Bengkalis dan menganalisis margin pemasaran yang diperoleh petani. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara degan petani dan anggota rantai pasok, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari Dinas Perkebunan Bengkalis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pemetaan value chain dan margin pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jaringan rantai pasok TBS sawit rakyat di Kabupaten Bengkalis, yaitu jaringan I (petani-pengumpul-pedagang besar sawit- industri), jaringan II (petani-pedagang besar sawit-industri), jaringan III (petani-pengumpul- koperasi-industri) dan jaringan IV (petani-koperasi sawit-industri). Dari empat jaringan distribusi tersebut, jaringan IV di Kecamatan Pinggir yang paling banyak memperoleh nilai farmer’s share sebesar 78,21%. Sementara, nilai terkecil diperoleh pada jaringan I di Kecamatan Bantan sebesar 46,43%. ABSTRACT The business of palm oil plantation in the Bengkalis Regency is dominated by smallholder which has Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) as the main product. The total production of it grows annually, however, the long of supply chain of FFB is still inefficient so the revenue of the farmer is low. This is due to the long distribution network of the product and price fluctuation at distribution time. This study aimed to map value chain of the palm oil in Bengkalis and to analyze its marketing margin obtained by the farmers. Data used in this study were primary dan secondary data. Primary data colletction was carried out by observation and interviews with farmers and supply chain members, while secondary data was obtained from the Bengkalis Plantation Agency. Moreover, the data were analyzed by using value chain and marketing margin methods. The result of this study indicated that there are four palm oil distribution networks in Bengkalis, networks (N): N1 (farmer-collector-trader-industry), N2 (farmer-trader-industry), N3 (farmer-collector-cooperative-industry), and N4 (farmer-cooperative-industry). Based on the four distribution networks, the N4 network in Pinggir District received the most farmer's share of 78.21%. Meanwhile, the smallest value was obtained in N1 in Bantan District of 46.43%.

Abstract

This research aim to establish a land use change model purposed to figure a spatial ecological equilibrium out from the land used activities. The analyzing of these land use change impacts were adopted from modeling methods, based from system thinking approach. Although the analytical constructions dominated by social sciences, all methodologies were drawn from more than one field of discipline to analyze the nature-society-economy relationships. These interdisciplinary orientation combining concepts has some advantages in recognizing most complex variables in the real world than another functional approaches. The model has verified to validate in villages around the HTI concession area of Jambi Province which is managed by PT Wirakarya Sakti (WKS), and resulted some behavior patterns of land use changed that showed in descriptions as a whole. At last, sensitivity analysis of this model - like a game - has developed the “what if” input variables to predict situation of the future, and has resulted some options of scenario as decision support to the policy system framework.Keywords: Ecologycal equilibrium, HTI pulp concession area, land use change, modeling, system thinking approach, decision support system, Jambi.

Abstract

The feed industry shall maintain quality and food safety of their products. The research conducted in the year of 2015-2016 was to design the optimum condition of food safety consideration for feed industries in Indonesia.  Feed for livestock was formulated by using corn meal, soya protein, fish meals, rice bran, veterinary drugs, steam, and other ingredients. Growth promotor materials were formulated from vitamin, antibiotics, amino acid, methylene blue, and other trace elements also were added in the formulation. The feed ingredients are potential sources of food safety hazard in feed products. Result of model analysis found the major sources of food safety risks, i.e.1) veterinary drugs residues (X1); 2) aflatoxin potential in humid corn meals (X2), and3) alfatoxin potential in humid soya meal (X3). Minimisation model formulated for food safety in feed production was Z = 13.78 X1 + 10.00 X2 + 7.67 X3. The optimisation model by using simplex solution found maximum bioaccumulation value index of 93.33 per ton feed production. The verification model done for two feed industries and calculated bioaccumulation index were 20.16 and 24.43 per ton livestock feed production. The result concluded that the feed produced by both industries have been recommended safe to consume. The optimum condition for food safety in livestock feed industry interpreted from this optimal conditions.Keywords:  bioaccumulation index, food safety risk minimization, livestock feed industry

Abstract

Intentional contamination threats to food supply chain has increased. Risk management can be used to handle such threats. Risk management methods such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 22000, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) can only be applied for unintentional contamination threats. The objectives of this research was to develop a model of risk management for intentional contamination threat on pasteurized milk supply chain in Indonesia. A case study using Threat Assessment Critical Control Point (TACCP) was conducted in PT XYZ to apply the model. The results showed that the threats can be divided into food fraud risk and food defense risk.  The threat to this pasteurized product from this company could be classified as low risk by applying actions, such as prevention, detection, and deterrence.Keywords : food defense, food fraud, intentional contamination, pasteurized milk

Abstract

CV Diana Phon Bogor is a small business in trading sector by selling various kinds of agricultural productssuch as pesticides, fertilizers, plant seeds, pots, and agricultural tools. Sales of CV Diana Phon Bogor in the last three years (2014-2016) have been decreased, it needs a new and right strategy to increase the sales. The purpose of this research was to design a marketing strategy for CV Diana Phon, Bogor. This research used the stakeholder engagement strategy method. Stakeholder engagement strategy sees involvement between stakeholders, in this case CV Diana Phon Bogor with suppliers and consumers. This research used descriptive approach that interviewed the owner and used questionnaire for suppliers and consumers. Stakeholder analysis results showed that 66.7% of suppliers were in engage category and 76.7% of consumers were in engage category. This showed that the stakeholders associated with CV Diana Phon Bogor were loyal. The design of marketing strategy undertaken was to maintain good relationships with stakeholders, in this case suppliers and consumers.Keyword: engagement, marketing, stakeholder, startegy

Abstract

Smart teknologi berkembang pesat di sektor agroindustri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengembangkan sistem agroindustri kentang yang optimal dan adaptif. Dalam penelitian ini ditambahkan Internet of Things (IoT) yaitu penginderaan jauh untuk memprediksi jumlah panen dan kapasitas produksi. Sebelum menerapkan IoT, perspektif spasial dianalisis menggunakan spasial dan geoprocessing. Sampel penelitian menggunakan random grid di Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Titik optimal diperoleh di Kejajar (N1), Garung (N2), Kalikajar (N3), Kepil (N4) dan Mojotengah (N5). Pada penelitian ini dipasang sensor suhu dan kelembaban SHT15 serta curah hujan Rain Gauge di 5 titik. Sensor memberikan data secara rutin selama 30 hari. Berdasarkan analisis kesesuaian lahan, lokasi yang paling sesuai adalah Kejajar (N1) di koordinat 7°14'11.8"LS, 109°56'29.7"BT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan 24 titik sampel dengan luas rata-rata 2,5m x 2,5m dihasilkan rata-rata total panen 8,62 kg/m2 dan prediksi produktivitas panen 13,79 ton/ha. Sistem ini dapat memprediksi jumlah panen dan kapasitas produksi yang baik dengan tingkat akurasi 89,35%. Dengan demikian, metode ini dapat digunakan dan merepresentasikan pertanian melalui inovasi digital menggunakan smart teknologi agroindustri. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, metode ini dapat dilanjutkan untuk penanganan pascapanen dengan menggunakan Sistem Operasi berbasis Android. Abstract

The objective of this study was to design an agent model for forecasting demand for rubber-based automotive parts using the Agent Based Modelling and Double Exponential Smoothing (ABMDES) approach. Model design in rubber-based automotive spare parts forecasting using the integration of Agent Based Modelling (ABM) approach and Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) technique was done using agent design approach based on class diagram and definition function for each agent in mathematics models including DES-based forecasting. The ABM design has a structure consisting of an agent ID, an attribute to be calculated by the computer and function / process consisting of a function that has values ​​and voids (unstructured). Combining ABM and DES can guide us to see the forecast accuracy, monitoring the estimation of stock shortage and the excess of stock due to errors in DES forecast. Therefore, the Agent Based Modelling-Double Exponential Smoothing (ABMDES) approach is suitable for modelling the demand of rubber-based automotive parts in business simulation.
