Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of giving economic tokens to improve the academic self-concept of mentally retarded students. The design of this study is multiple-baseline design across the subject that is all research subjects get the same intervention as before it has been ascertained that the research subjects have the same characteristics according to the research objectives. Research participants were 2 people. Data collection techniques in this study used a scale of academic self-concept, observation, and interviews. The results showed that the administration of economic tokens was effective in improving the academic self-concept of retarded students with a significance result of 0.041 <0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and achievement motivation and how much influence self-efficacy on achievement motivation on eighth semester student students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sciences at Muhammadiyah University Sidoarjo. This research was conducted with a quantitative correlational research method, using simple random sampling with a sample of 227 students. The measuring instrument uses two scales, self-efficacy scale and achievement motivation scale with Pearson product moment correlation technique with the help of IBM Statistics 20 Version for Windows. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and achievement motivation. The implications of this study is to develop student achievement and provide interventions to improve the quality of education. Maximum improvement of education qualification can improve self-efficacy and achievement motivation in working students

Abstract

Research on the effectiveness of assertive training to improve communication and early marriage, aims to test the effectiveness of assertive training to improve communication at early marriages and test the effectiveness of assertive training to improve harmony in early marriages, as well as examine differences in improved communication and harmony in early marriages after assertive training . The hypotheses in this study are (1) effective assertive training to improve communication at early marriage (2) assertive training to improve harmony at early marriage. Sampling using purposive sampling, research subjects totaling 10 subjects. The results show that there are significant differences so that it can be concluded that there are (1) effective assertive training to improve communication at early marriage (2) effective assertive training to improve harmony in early marriage.

Abstract

Every company will use personality tests as a way to measure and evaluate potential employees. It is understood that there are several personality types that exist in each employee having a good type, trait, trait that will have an impact on the progress and excellence of an organization, and they ensure they make good choices. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out the personality types that exist in the employees of Bina Darma University Palembang. This study uses 57 Eysenck Personality Inventory measuring instruments. This study uses quantitative methods. The sample used in this study were 320 employees of the University of Palembang Bina Darma. From the results of this study it was found that 70 employees had stable extroverted personality types in work, 64 employees had an introvert stable personality type, 56 employees had unstable introverted personality types, 40 employees had unstable extroverted personality types at work.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the discipline pattern that the parents had on their children. This research was held in slum area of Penjaringan in DKI Jakarta. Total of 154 people became the participant in this research. This was a descriptive study that wish to explore the discipline pattern that parents implemented to their children. Along with that we also explored about communication pattern and relation in family. We used questioners for information gathering and implemented observation, interview and small group discussion. To analyze the data, we used describtive statistical analysis technique and qualitative analysis. Most of the participant cared about their children. Nevertheless they implemented harsh communication style to their children.The parcitipant had a hope to be an ideal parent but did not have any idea what to do. Further research needed to be done and actions had to be implemented in order to create a healthy and fully functioning family in the slum area of Penjaringan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to learn how to use gadgets for students in the industrial era 4.0. The research method used is qualitative using indigenous psychology. The research subjects were students in the Yogyakarta Special Region who examined 70 female students. The results in this study were female students who used the highest category of communication by 25%, followed by 17% knowledge, 17% practical, 15% entertainment, 14% information, 5% archives, 4% business and 3% sharing.

Abstract

The Indonesian Navy's Frog Troop Command Soldiers are special personnel designed to deal with difficult situations and special naval warfare missions. The dynamics of forming as a candidate for Kopaska personnel and the pressure of education at the Frog Troop Command School were so heavy that some students were unable to adapt well, stressed and lacked confidence, so they were unable to continue their education. Resilience is the ability of each individual to cope and adapt to problems that occur in life. Resilience is needed by students to be able to survive while carrying out education at the Frog Troop Command School. Several studies have found that resilience can be increased by using a Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CBT intervention on increasing resilience in the Frog Troop Command School students. The use of the CBT method is expected to be able to increase the resilience of students when under pressure during education at the Frog Troop Command School. Therefore, in order to increase the readiness of students to face the heavy educational pressures and stress that arises during their education at the Frog Troop Command School, it is necessary to know how the use of this CBT method and its effect on them. This therapy session intends to explore the use of the CBT method to control oneself in order to be able to face the pressures of education at the Frog Troop Command School

Abstract

This study is conducted to examine the correlation between emotional intelligence and cyberbullying behaviour among teenagers in Salatiga. It involved 405 teenagers aged 15-17 years old (247 girls and 158 boys). Data were taken using The Assessing Emotion Scale of Schutte, Malouff, dan Bhullar (2009), consisted of 33 items with validity coefficient 0,843, to examine validity coefficient, and The Cyber-Bullying Questionnaire of Esther Calvete, Izaskun Orue, Ana Estévez, Lourdes Villardón, and Patricia Padilla (2010), consisted of 16 items with validity 0,839, to examine the variable of the behaviour. It was analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient in SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results showed a significant negative correlation between emotional intelligence and cyberbullying behaviour with rxy = -0,126 dan p = 0,006 (p < 0,05).

Abstract

This psychoeducation aims to help the PARIKESID youth group meet their needs, namely the need to optimize the self-development of youth in the SIDOSERMO area and to help the PARIKESID youth organization attract youth to participate in social activities and join the PARIKESID youth organization. Psychoeducation is carried out using Lecture, Audio Visual, Sharing, Game, Discussion, Pretest and Posttest learning methods, as well as Self-Reflection. The weak institutional management of the PARIKESID Youth Organization in optimizing the potential of its members is the most influential problem in the organization. Moreover, with the current growing power at Karang Taruna PARIKESID, this has made the younger generation around Sidosermo not see the importance of interaction in youth organizations

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the difficulties in understanding science subject matter associated with educational psychology. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, namely the data obtained by the author is presented in the discussion. In obtaining data, the author uses literature in the form of books and journals. The results showed that there are various kinds of difficulties in understanding science subject matter and there are factors that can be linked to educational psychology and also how to overcome these difficulties.
