Abstract

The study assessed the impact of e-tax administration on tax revenue in Ondo state internal revenue, Nigeria. The study employed survey research design using primary data sourced from the distribution of a well-structured questionnaire to the staff of the Ondo State Board of Internal Revenue (OSBIR). Data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics; through frequency counts, mean scores; and Z-test to test the hypotheses formulated. The study revealed that electronic taxation has significant influence on tax evasion as demonstrated by the calculated Z-test score greater than the Z-table score of (1.96 < 6.44); similarly, it was also shown that electronic-taxation can prevent corrupt practices among some tax administrators as revealed by the Z-table score of (1.96 < 3.08). The study concluded that e-taxation can reduce tax evasion in Nigeria as well as truncate corrupt practices among tax officials in Nigeria. It was recommended that OSBIR embrace e-taxation with urgent deployment of robust Information Technology; and encourage regular training of staff and taxpayers sensitization to facilitate smooth running. This will engender a high level of compliance among taxpayers. Also, e-tax ought to be employed in order to ease the related glitches that swindling stakeholders’ interest.

Abstract

The minimum criteria regarding the qualifications and competencies of lecturers in conducting education require psychological contracts, organizational culture and the strategy of Human Resources (HR) that are used as the basis for work relationships. The main objective of this research is to examine psychological contracts in improving HR strategies with organizational culture as a mediator variable. The method used in this research is kind of descriptive with a quantitative approach and use explanatory surveys. The research target was lecturers at several universities in Jambi Province. The data collection method used is by providing a structured questionnaire aimed at the sample respondents. The analysis tool used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS) and the software used is smart-PLS. The research hypothesis provides strong support towards the view of psychological contracts has a positive and significant influence in improving HR strategies, psychological contracts have a positive and significant influence in improving HR strategies through organizational culture as a mediator variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of destination images, quality attributes of tourism products, word of mouth, electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on the decision to visit Bukik Chi Nangkiak tourist destination, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. This type of research is an explanatory time horizon, with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with the criteria of respondents who have visited a tourist destination once and are 17 years old. The number of samples used in the study was 130 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). The results revealed that the image of the destination, the quality of the attributes of tourism products, electronic word of mouth (e-wom) did not significantly influence the visiting decision. Likewise, the electronic word of mouth (e-wom) variable is not significant. Only the Word of Mouth variable has a significant effect on the decision to visit. This is an interesting finding because at present wom communication is no longer considered effective because the intensity of meetings between individuals is decreasing but the results of the study show a significant effect. Based on the results of the study it can be recommended that to improve the decision to visit a tourist destination an optimization of the use of communication technology is carried out. Through e-wom promotion activities such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Whats App. This indicates that technological advances play a major role in promoting tourist destinations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to capture the phenomenon of the open bidding process carried out in order to select apparatus who have sufficient capacity, competition and integrity to fill certain positions so that they can carry out their tasks more effectively and efficiently. The research design used was a qualitative research design, which investigated the open selection of Echelon III structural officials in the “R” Regency Government Environment (initials in order to maintain the confidentiality of informants) in Bengkulu Province. Research results: (1) The selection of high ranking pratama officials in the Regency District "R" has referred to the laws and regulations; (2) The regional head uses the final result of open bidding in filling the position, based on his authority the regional head does not have to appoint an official who gets the highest score; (3) The inhibiting factor of the open bidding implementation of pratama high-ranking officials in the “R” Regency environment is the fulfillment of competency of the examinees which is not infrequently influenced by the culture of personal closeness and the insistence of politicians to penetrate the structuring of the bureaucratic elite; (4) The perception of the implementation of open bidding related to the determination of each position position, namely selection is a formality impacting on the competence of applicants.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze whether the implementation of green accounting affecting the financial reporting quality of listed Indonesian manufacturing companies. Earnings sustainability and value relevance are used to represent financial reporting quality from accounting and market aspects. The sample consists of 101 manufacturing companies that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange determined by using purposive sampling technique and analyzed by using multiple linear regression method. The empirical results indicate that the implementation of green accounting has an effect on earnings sustainability but has no effect on value relevance of accounting information. This study contributes to provide insight how the capital market assesses the implementation of green accounting based on the financial reporting quality. It also expected to improve the company's environmental performance, since it is likely provides implication on the effectiveness of green industry policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the direct effect of service justice, trust and customer value on customer satisfaction, knowing the direct effect of service justice, trust, customer value, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty, the indirect effect of service justice, trust, customer value on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population in this study amounted to 32,842. The number of samples taken was 100 respondents. The research method is a quantitative research using field surveys with interviews and questionnaires. The analytical tool used is path analysis. The results showed that: (1) service justice, trust, and customer value simultaneously and partially had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction,(2) service justice, trust, customer value, and customer satisfaction simultaneously have positive and significant influence on customer loyalty, while partial service justice, trust, and customer satisfaction has positive and significant impact on customer loyalty and (3) service justice and trust variables indirectly influence the customer loyalty.

Abstract

Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) gives the latest innovation to the development of its business. Enterprises in order to maintain their survival in order to survive in a competitive climate should have a strategy to attract consumers to switch to their products. One strategy to choose from is product development strategy. So the purpose of this research is to know the internal and external conditions of MSMEs Nugget Oyster Defia in determining product development strategy and analyze and recommend product development strategy based on SWOT analysis to MSME Nugget Oyster Defia. This research was conducted at MSME Nugget Oyster Defia fungus located in Jambi City. Data collection using secondary and primary data.The method of data collection by using observation and direct interview which result will be processed using IFE, EFE and SWOT matrix. Based on the results of the analysis obtained IFE matrix which shows a score of 2.802 score that identified wide space and business improvement and EFE matrix with a score of 2.6255 shows nugget business can be said to be successful and able to attract profits. In the IFE and EFE matrix, the SWOT analysis is to increase the number of outputs and business performance inputs, expand marketing area and increase promotion, increase the number of experts and cooperation, use good technology and planning system, improve nugget business quality and cooperate with other agencies to development

Abstract

Government agencies are required to observe and manage human resources as the most important element that directly affects the effectiveness of organizational work, especially in the long term. The purpose of this research is to analyze the variable employee engagement, working discipline, job satisfaction on the performance of employees of the DISHUB Jambi. The variables to be researched are Employee's Engagement (X1), working discipline (X2), job satisfaction (X3), employee performance (Y). Research using Fishbone Diagram (fishbone diagram), data collection is done with questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Population in this study amounted to 164 employees of the DISHUB city of Jambi, the size of the samples used in this study amounted to 116 respondents, the final result was 99 respondents who submitted questionnaires to the research team. Data is further processed using SmartPLS programs. From the structural model and the loading value of the item statement, there are several indicators of variables that have a loading value below 0.5. Technical analysis involves the determination of the correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression, then the results are interpreted through the discussion, suggestions, and conclusions of the examined variables. The results gained in this study showed that in variable Employee's engagement, work discipline and job satisfaction were influential positivity and significant to the performance of employees of the DISHUB Jambi City.

Abstract

In this study, the conceptual framework of brand equity is a combination of antecedents that create differential effects to customer response on customer-based brand equity in the banking and financial industry in Batam. By constructing a conceptual framework of the factors affecting brand equity, company will build a competitive advantage in the banking and financial industry that will increase their long-term sustainability in Batam. The recent trends of banking industry have changed tremendously, and studies of a brand equity in the banking industry at Batam and Indonesia is increasingly becoming considerable to keep pace with this change. In this conceptual paper, we have summarized the literatures on currently prevailing concepts and approaches on brand equity that will allow us to identify the conceptual framework of brand equity including all the factors affecting the customer response namely brand image, brand loyalty, brand awareness, and perceived quality and therefore will facilitate banking and financial firms to enhance their marketing efficiency and effectiveness in Batam.

Abstract

This research will assess customer satisfaction with after-sale services for customers who use interior design services in Jakarta. This type of study is qualitative descriptive with survey data collection techniques—the data survey collected by cross-sectional. The data collection method uses a questionnaire distributed to 100 customers who used interior design services in Jakarta. The analytic approach used is Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of the research have successfully identified customer satisfaction with the after-sales service. There are 6 out of 20 attributes perceived as unsatisfied customers, while other attributes are perceived to be moderately satisfied and satisfied by interior design service customers in Jakarta.
