Abstract

Indonesian people live in diversity, creating cultural wealth in society. However, the community's character, with different cultural patterns in each group, becomes vulnerable to conflict caused by discrimination and lack of tolerance. Therefore, efforts are needed to solve these problems, including through education based on local wisdom that can be applied in schools in the application of tolerance values ​​using an ethnopedagogical approach in multicultural learning with local wisdom related to knowledge generated, stored, applied, managed, and inherited. Create a more harmonious attitude and action. Multicultural-based learning is a reform movement that aims to create equal educational conditions for all students regardless of gender, race, religion, language, culture, or social status and foster tolerance, acceptance, respect, and affirmation of solidarity. Mastered by the concept of local wisdom values ​​that exist in the community, bringing students to have an understanding of social values ​​and have the skills to solve problems, live in harmony in society, respect the diversity of cultural characteristics of other individuals, and recognize and respect different cultures.

Abstract

Learning activities at every level of education should be developed following current developments, meaning that every teacher must understand learning approaches, strategies, and methods. In the 2013 curriculum, various strategies, models, and learning methods are increasingly varied; as an educator, this is very useful. As a result, educators can be more creative in delivering material. Determining learning strategies at the beginning is essential because a teacher is a primary planner in a learning activity. Educators who are responsible always prepare everything at the beginning of learning to support the learning process so that the atmosphere and results are created as expected. Writing this article aims to explain how important it is to set learning strategies, especially in the 2013 curriculum in the learning process. In writing this article, it uses a qualitative approach using library research, namely by examining reading sources related to the studies discussed. Data was collected by browsing books and scientific journals from Google Scholar, digital libraries, and others.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the development of Social Studies in Indonesia, both in the form of the concept of Social Studies education and adaptation to the development of the Social Studies curriculum in Indonesia. Social Studies (IPS) is not an independent science. In Social Sciences, much material from various social sciences is used or adapted to get what you want to achieve in the chosen education or teaching. Social Studies is an integrated study material, namely selection, adaptation, and regulated (organized) modification of scientific concepts, such as historical, economics, geography, sociology, and anthropology skills). Social Studies is a subject designed to improve/develop knowledge, skills, and understanding in analyzing social conditions in society, especially when entering the life of a dynamic society. In Indonesia, Social Studies is described in an integrated, dynamic, and comprehensive way for the flow of learning activities in order to achieve success and maturity in societal attitudes. Indonesia has a dynamic educational development and participates in the times. This is interesting to study in more detail through historical studies on developments in Indonesia for social studies education, starting from the first entry of social studies education to developments in schools related to the curriculum. Abstract

The development of educational innovations is carried out systematically and comprehensively. One of them is by utilizing learning media. Various learning media can function as a solution to learning problems. However, the reality is not following these ideal conditions. This condition could cause the results of a study that achieved student disappointment. One of the problems schools face is the use of learning media which is not optimal enough. Study this using approach descriptive qualitative with type literature review. The destination of using this method is to serve various theories from previous researchers or experts relevant to the problem researched to help discuss the study's results in descriptive form. Teachers make learning breakthroughs so that students can learn with pleasure. Applying innovation education as learning means creating study patterns, working, and training independently following interest and talent learners. This innovation can be implemented through the use and application of learning media in schools using environment-based media. Learning media as part of educational innovation is essential for human resources and the future of Indonesia. SDN Remo is a small elementary school with all its limitations, trying to choose and utilize learning media from the natural environment so that students will quickly understand the subject matter.
