Abstract

The continuously growing opportunities in the digital economy have prompted the Indonesian government to encourage Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to undergo digital transformation. While there are various approaches available, marketing products/services through social media is believed to be one of the most effective methods. To maximize the benefits of social media marketing adoption for MSMEs, it is indeed crucial to identify the influential factors related to its adoption. Therefore, this study aims to quantitatively identify the factors influencing social media adoption among MSMEs in Indonesia. In this study, attention is directed toward five factors: performance expectancy, social influence, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and operating costs. The study incorporated 136 actively participating MSMEs that employed social media marketing. We opted to employ Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) due to its suitability for our sample size and potential data characteristics. As we were unsure about the normality of our data and the presence of measurement issues, PLS-SEM provided a robust and flexible approach. It allows us to analyze complex models and handle potential non-normal data and measurement concerns, ensuring reliable results even if such issues arise. Data is processed using the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The research findings indicate that the usage of social media marketing is influenced by performance expectancy and social influence. However, factors such as effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and costs do not have a significant impact on social media adoption among MSMEs. Furthermore, the results of the study highlight the positive impact of utilizing social media for marketing on the performance of MSMEs, particularly in terms of increasing sales, enhancing customer relationships, improving productivity, and fostering creativity. These findings suggest that MSMEs can leverage social media platforms to achieve tangible benefits and enhance various aspects of their business operations.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the contribution of the performance of the fisheries subsector to economic growth in the Eastern Indonesia Region. Fishing is important for maintaining community identity, social cohesion and individual fishing status, and as the glue that binds communities together. Solutions to challenges in the marine and fisheries sector require a trend of insight and synergy at the regional level, such as IUU fishing, marine waste, fisheries trade barriers that are linked to tariffs. The Pooled Least Square Linear Regression method is used to analyze panel data using a quantitative approach. The sample data used is provincial data in WPPN RI 714, 715 and 718, which consists of 10 provinces cross-section data, 7 years of time series data. The result is that the performance of the fisheries subsector has a significant and positive influence on economic growth in the Eastern Indonesia Region. The magnitude of the influence of Fisheries Subsector Performance on Economic Growth is very strong and the increase is inelastic. The performance of the fisheries subsector can explain 89.92 percent of changes in economic growth. Measurable fishing is carried out to ensure the sustainability of fish resources is maintained and can provide fishermen's welfare, provide expansion and employment opportunities, increase added value and competitiveness due to fisheries, ensure business certainty, contribute to the world of business, and can increase economic growth.

Abstract

Effective management of risk is critical to the success of any construction project. The importance of risk management has grown as projects have become more complex. This study examines the influence of risk factors on project cost in the Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road project. It identifies 47 common risk indicators and categorises them into six risk factors, emphasize the need for improved risk management strategies in complex construction projects. The research question of this study is to know the influence and relationship of risk factors on project cost in the Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road project. The purpose of this study is to determine the risk factors that influence and relate to project cost in the Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road project. The data was analysed with statistical tools to determine the rank of factors affecting project costs. The research method used quantitative, using hard data on Likert scale, and qualitative, using the opinions of the respondents, with primary sources and secondary data. This research involved the project director, site supervisors, engineers, safety environment officer, and finance manager from PT Hutama Karya. Data collection techniques include the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses correlation and multiple linear regression analysis methods with the help of SPSS software. According to the result analysis, all the factors have a moderate relationship with the project cost, and there are four factors that have a significant relationship with the project cost, namely material risk, equipment risk, construction method risk, contractor managerial risk, and construction safety risk.

Abstract

One of the efforts to strengthen the role of women in the family context to improve overall family health and welfare is the Increasing the Role of Women towards a Healthy and Prosperous Family program. After one year, an analysis was carried out to find out what factors affect the effectiveness of this program. Specifically examine the influence of participation factors in programs, education, training, access to resources, culture and norms on increasing the role of women in the family and further on family welfare. Also culture and norms as moderator variables for the influence between changes in roles in the family on family well-being. Respondents were program participants, and were immediately interviewed for filling out questionnaires, which were processed with PLS Smart4 Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) statistics. The findings of this study are that participation factors in programs, education, training, access to resources to change the role of women in the family play a role in the effectiveness of family welfare programs. Culture and norms proved to be moderator variables for the influence of changing roles in the family on family well-being. Meanwhile, culture and norms are not moderator variables for the influence of participant participation in programs and training education held on participants' access to resources. With this, it can be understood what factors need to be done to be fostered and improved, so as to accelerate the success process of the program to increase the role of women towards a healthy and prosperous family in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia's digital economy is expanding at a breakneck pace, highlighting the urgent need for digital competencies that align with industry demands. Addressing this critical issue, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia has initiated the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, one of the programs, emphasizing practical internships to enhance undergraduates' digital skills. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the MBKM initiative in narrowing the disparity between graduates' digital competencies and the evolving needs of various industries, shedding light on the program's role in fostering digital readiness among undergraduatesThis research scrutinizes the impact of the MBKM initiative on bridging the gap between graduates' digital competencies and the expectations of diverse industries. It specifically assesses the efficacy of the program in cultivating essential digital skills through IT-related tasks in various sectors. Employing a Likert-scale questionnaire rooted in the DigComp 2.0 framework, the research surveyed host companies across Jakarta, evaluating the digital proficiency of MBKM interns and their readiness for employment. Analysed through the Smart PLS, the research employed PLS-SEM to unravel the influence of digital competencies on employability. Findings indicate that one digital competence, Digital Content Creation, is significantly associated with employability prospects. Conversely, Information and Data Literacy, Communication and Collaboration, Safety, and Problem Solving did not exhibit a substantial direct effect on employability. This research underlines the critical nature of enhancing specific competencies within the MBKM framework to better prepare Indonesia's workforce for the demands of a digital future. The insights gleaned offer strategic implications for refining educational programs and underscore the importance of continual alignment with industry needs, thereby strengthening the nation's digital talent pool.

Abstract

The growing development of technology gave birth to the existence of big data that can store a very large amount of information. The presence of big data provides opportunities for businesses. Business owners can utilize big data to generate data that can be used to provide an overview as a basis for decision making in conducting digital marketing activities. The method used is the documentation method with a qualitative approach. The data used is secondary data derived from various search engines such as Google Scholar and PubMed. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive model includes data condensation, data display and conclusions drawing. The results show that the application of big data analysis in digital marketing combines technological advances with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, enabling companies to optimize marketing strategies, improve operational efficiency, and respond more quickly to market changes, as well as make more informed decisions and improve corporate image, becoming the key to success in facing competition in today's increasingly complex and dynamic market.
