Abstract

This study analyzes the marketing strategy of gold installment products based on murabahah contracts at BSI KCP Banyuwangi Purwoharjo using qualitative methods and the SWOT approach. This analysis aims to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in an effort to improve marketing effectiveness and minimize the risk of making inappropriate decisions. The findings show that the main strengths of the product lie in compliance with sharia principles, transparency of contracts, and stability of gold investment. However, weaknesses such as low public literacy and limited accessibility remain a challenge. On the other hand, opportunities such as increased awareness of sharia products and new market segments such as high school and university students can be utilized to expand customer outreach. The recommended strategies include product development for young segments, increasing financial literacy through education, optimizing digital promotions, and collaboration with educational institutions. With this approach, BSI KCP Banyuwangi Purwoharjo can strengthen its position in the market, face gold price fluctuations, and compete with other financial institutions. This study concludes that a combination of strengths and opportunities-based strategies and mitigation of weaknesses and threats can be the key to successful marketing of sharia-based gold installment products.

Abstract

This research investigates how Good Corporate Governance (GCG), the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Operational Efficiency (BOPO) influence financial performance measured by Return on Assets (ROA) of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia from 2020 to 2023. Employing a Fixed Effect panel data regression in EViews 12, the study draws upon a purposively sampled set of banks with complete financial disclosures during the period. Prior to estimation, Chow and Hausman tests determined the appropriate model, and diagnostic checks confirmed that residuals met normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity assumptions. Results reveal that both GCG (p = 0.0315) and CAR (p = 0.0260) positively and significantly affect ROA, whereas BOPO exerts a negative, significant impact (p = 0.0002). An Adjusted R² of 0.3484 suggests that these three variables account for 34.84% of ROA’s variability. Findings align with stakeholder, signaling, and efficiency theories in Islamic banking and corroborate earlier empirical work. Practically, the study underscores the importance of robust governance, adequate capitalization, and cost control to bolster bank profitability. Future research may incorporate macroeconomic indicators or adopt dynamic panel techniques to deepen insights into financial performance drivers.

Abstract

Digital transformation and the dynamics of customer needs demand adaptive and customer-oriented marketing strategies in the Islamic banking industry. This study aims to analyze the customer-centric differentiation strategy implemented by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Tuban in marketing pre-retirement financing products. With a qualitative approach through interviews and field observations, this study reveals that personalized advisory strategies, hybrid services (offline and online), and the use of digital technology such as the BSI Mobile application and chatbots are key to increasing customer engagement and satisfaction. Innovation through the #SiapPensiunTenang digital campaign and the use of customer data for service personalization also strengthen the competitive position of BSI KCP Tuban. The results of the study show that a customer-centric marketing approach can significantly increase interest in pre-retirement financing products and strengthen customer loyalty in the midst of a competitive digital era. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product innovation and service quality on customer satisfaction at Islamic banks in Indonesia. The main issue in this study relates to the importance of developing relevant service and product strategies in increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty in the increasingly competitive Islamic banking sector. The approach used is quantitative with descriptive design. Primary data were collected through the distribution of Likert scale questionnaires to 100 randomly selected respondents. The independent variables consist of product innovation (X?) and service quality (X?), while the dependent variable is customer satisfaction (Y). The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 22. The results showed that both product innovation and service quality have a significant influence on customer satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Simultaneously, the two variables explain 74.7% of the variation in customer satisfaction. The findings confirm the importance of product renewal and service quality improvement as key strategies in strengthening the position of Islamic banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are analyzing financial ratios consisting of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR, Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Return On Assets (ROA) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) can distinguish health between the Islamic banking group and the conventional banking group. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of comparative research. The sample selection in this study used a non-probability sampling method which was purposive sampling with the following criteria: financial banking which has two sharia and conventional systems, financial banking which issued 10 consecutive financial statements, financial statement banking which had the highest assets in 2011- 2020, and banks whose financial statements whose profit and loss present data on outstanding shares and share prices. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that: 1) Financial ratios consisting of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Financing to Deposit Ratios (FDR, Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Return On Assets (ROA) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) are not have the ability to significantly distinguish between the Islamic banking group and the conventional banking group. The conclusion of the study shows that: 1) of the 4 (FOUR) financial ratios of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Financing to Deposit Ratios (FDR, Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Return On Assets (ROA) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), which analyzed, there is 1 (one) financial ratio that has the ability to distinguish significantly, namely the CAR ratio, because it has been proven by obtaining a significance value below 0.05, while the other 2 (two) financial ratios do not have the ability to distinguish (not a significant discriminator). between the Islamic banking group and conventional banking, including LDR and ROA, this is evidenced by the obtaining of a significance value above/greater than 0.05. 2) The soundness of conventional banking is better than the financial performance of Islamic banking.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of discrete mathematics into financing scoring systems for non-bank Islamic financial institutions (NBIFIs). A Systematic Literature Review was selected to consolidate evidence on mathematical structures, decision-support methods, predictive algorithms, and sharia governance, with reporting guided by PRISMA 2020. Searches in Google Scholar, Scopus, Garuda, Semantic Scholar, and PMC for publications from 2020 to 2026 identified 487 records; 89 remained after deduplication and title-abstract screening, 34 full texts were assessed, and 20 articles were included. Machine-learning and credit-scoring studies dominated the evidence base (35%), followed by studies on NBIFIs and Islamic non-bank finance (25%), PRISMA-based reviews (15%), discrete mathematics and decision modelling (15%), and DSS/MCDM applications (10%). The findings show that finite sets, logical rules, decision trees, graph structures, and ranking matrices are relevant to financing assessment, but explicit discrete-mathematics applications remain rare. Major gaps concern limited NBIFI-specific datasets, weak operationalisation of maqashid al-shariah, insufficient fairness testing, and scarce external validation. The review proposes a four-layer model linking input data, discrete-mathematical structures, hybrid scoring algorithms, and explainable decisions under sharia governance. Practically, NBIFIs should develop auditable scoring rules, involve Sharia Supervisory Boards in model validation, and provide assistance pathways for applicants below the eligibility threshold.
