Abstract

This study analyzes the use and maintenance of enclosed lifeboats to support safety on board the MV. Tanto Subur II. The background of this study is based on the importance of lifeboat readiness as the main safety tool according to SOLAS and Planned Maintenance System (PMS) provisions, however, problems are still found in the implementation of maintenance in the field. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of enclosed lifeboat maintenance and assess its suitability with the PMS in supporting operational readiness during emergencies. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The study population is all crew members involved in the operation and maintenance of lifeboats, with samples consisting of the Chief Officer, Third Officer, Third Engineer, and Electrician through a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments include interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that although maintenance and procedures have been implemented according to the PMS, obstacles are still found such as gear brake damage, limited equipment, old engine age, and low frequency of lifeboat drills. The conclusion of the study shows that the readiness of enclosed lifeboats is not optimal so that continuous improvement of maintenance, supervision, and training is needed.

Abstract

Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) is a form of technology-facilitated sexual violence that may have enduring psychological consequences extending into adulthood. Although previous studies have documented its adverse impacts, limited research has examined how adult survivors construct meaning from these experiences. This study aimed to explore the factors influencing the meaning-making process, understand the dynamics of meaning making, and identify the meanings reconstructed by adult survivors of OCSEA. This study employed a qualitative research design using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Participant screening was conducted using the Global Psychotrauma Screen (GPS) to identify adult survivors who had experienced OCSEA during childhood or adolescence and demonstrated sufficient psychological functioning to reflect on their experiences. Three adult female survivors participated in semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed using IPA and interpreted through Park’s Meaning Making Model. The findings indicate that meaning making is a complex, dynamic, and non-linear process influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors included emotional needs, self-reflection, and future aspirations, whereas external factors comprised healthy interpersonal relationships, psychoeducation, and exposure to information regarding sexual violence. Participants experienced disruptions in their global meaning concerning themselves, interpersonal relationships, and the digital world, which motivated cognitive and emotional meaning-making processes. These processes resulted in adaptive meaning made, including identity reconstruction, greater independence, increased interpersonal and digital vigilance, and the development of new life purposes, such as educating others, supporting family members, and helping individuals with similar experiences. These findings highlight the diverse pathways through which adult survivors integrate traumatic experiences into meaningful life narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the success level of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) farming in supporting food security in Sukaraya Village, Bekasi Regency, identify factors influencing farming success, and examine its contribution to community food security. A qualitative method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires involving village officials, program facilitators, relevant institutions, and 15 beneficiary Nile tilapia farmers participating in the village food security program. The success level of farming was assessed based on the implementation of Good Fish Rearing Practices (CPIB), farming productivity, and actual production achievement compared to the established production targets. The contribution to food security was analyzed through the dimensions of food availability, accessibility, and utilization. The results indicate that CPIB principles were generally implemented well in terms of farming facility preparation, seed selection, feeding practices, fish health management, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. However, farming productivity was constrained by suboptimal feed management, unstable water quality, and relatively high fish mortality rates in several ponds. Based on the production evaluation of 15 farmers, 3 were categorized as successful, 5 as unsuccessful, and 7 as failed. These findings suggest that farming success remains varied and is strongly influenced by farmers’ technical capacity to apply proper aquaculture practices. Nevertheless, Nile tilapia farming contributes to food security by increasing the availability of animal protein sources, improving access to nutritious food, and supporting household food consumption. Therefore, strengthening farmers’ capacity, providing continuous technical assistance, and implementing intensive monitoring are necessary to enhance productivity and ensure the sustainability of the program.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce businesses has led to an increasing volume of sales transaction data stored in Online shops. However, this transaction data is often underutilized, even though it contains valuable product purchasing patterns that can support business decision-making. This study aims to apply the Apriori algorithm to identify product purchasing patterns in an Online shop using the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) method. The KDD framework is employed to ensure a systematic data analysis process, including data Selection, Preprocessing, data Transformation, application of the Apriori algorithm, and result interpretation. The data used in this study consist of Online retail transaction data obtained from the Kaggle platform, namely the Online Retail dataset, which represents real ecommerce transactions. Data processing is carried out using WEKA software. The analysis focuses on discovering frequent item sets and generating association rules based on minimum support, confidence, and lift ratio values. The results show that the Apriori algorithm can identify products that are frequently purchased together within a single transaction. These purchasing patterns can be utilized as a basis for marketing strategy recommendations, product bundling promotions, more efficient inventory management, and as support for developing product recommendation systems in Online shops.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity and Islamic financial intermediation on the profitability of Sharia Commercial Banks (BUS) and Sharia Business Units (UUS) in Indonesia. The variables used include profitability as a dependent variable, while liquidity is proxied with cash, and Islamic financial intermediation is proxied with Third Party Funds (DPK) and profit-sharing financing. The research uses monthly panel data from BUS and UUS for the period January 2023–January 2026. The analysis method used is the Panel Error Correction Model (Panel ECM) to identify short-term and long-term relationships between variables. The results of the unit root test showed that all variables were integrated in the first order, while the cointegration test confirmed the existence of a long-term relationship between the study variables. The results of long-term estimation show that cash, deposits, and profit-sharing financing have a positive effect on profitability. These findings indicate that increasing liquidity and optimizing the function of sharia intermediation can improve the profitability performance of Islamic banking. In addition, the existence of an adjustment mechanism towards a long-term equilibrium shows that the profitability of BUS and UUS has the ability to return to equilibrium after economic shocks. This research provides important implications for Islamic bank management in managing liquidity and strengthening the intermediation function to increase profitability in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of religiosity on audit judgment and analyzes the mediating role of moral reasoning in this relationship. Primary data was collected from 51 auditors working at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Yogyakarta through a questionnaire survey. The data were then analyzed using SPSS through multiple regression and mediation analysis to test the research hypotheses. The results show that religiosity has no significant effect on audit judgment, indicating that auditors' religious values do not directly determine the quality of audit judgments. However, religiosity is proven to have a positive and significant effect on moral reasoning, while moral reasoning has a positive and significant effect on audit judgment. The research results also show that moral reasoning plays a role as a full mediation variable in the relationship between religiosity and audit judgment. Theoretically, this study strengthens Moral Development Theory by demonstrating that the influence of individual values on professional decisions occurs through the process of moral reasoning. Practically, the results indicate the importance of developing moral reasoning through ethics education, professional training, and case-based learning to improve the quality of auditor decisions.
