Abstract

Islamic boarding schools have a variety of learning methods used in educating their students, both of formal and non-formal education. In addition, Islamic boarding schools also have a curriculum that mostly uses the yellow book, bald and without vowels, so it takes a long time and serious effort to really understand it. There are many sciences that must be passed, starting from writing, reading and even translating. Therefore, there are many scholars who make scientific contributions to come up with easy methods so that students can use them well. One of them is the publication of a small and simple book, namely the Pegon Book, which is a small book that provides the instructions and guidance on writing Arabic letters in Javanese (pegon) in a method that is easily understood by new students. This study aims to improve the literacy skills of new students who are still unfamiliar with Pegon. To achieve the above objectives, researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods, which is a method to describe the collected data clearly and in detail as they are. While the data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation as well as data sources that come from boarding school administrators and researchers themselves who go directly to the field. The results of this study indicate that students can write, read, interpret, and understand the yellow book in Arabic without vowels properly and correctly.

Abstract

MSMEs or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are one of the factors that help improve the economy in Indonesia, both the micro and macro economy. Currently, there are many people who have MSMEs with various kinds of creative products that are sold. However, the development of MSMEs has experienced several obstacles, one of which is the lack of knowledge of MSME actors in utilizing information and communication technology that has developed, such as lack of knowledge about product branding. Branding is an attempt to produce an impression that attracts consumers. Lack of branding efforts can make MSME products less competitive in the market. For this reason, in an effort to develop MSMEs in Bulak Banteng through a digital-based branding strategy, this community service activity is carried out in several stages, namely counseling, training and mentoring, and the last stages is evaluation. From this activity, it is known that several MSMEs, namely Rumah Batik Jawa Timur, Mie Ramingkem, Pawone Mamiku, and UMKM Sumberejo have understood how important branding is for a product, this can be seen from the use of social media which has been better than before

Abstract

The micro, small and medium enterprise sector is one of the reliable sectors in the national economic map in Indonesia. Its ability to survive the threat of a global crisis become one of the sector's strengths. Therefore, the Indonesian government with Merdeka Campus program created one of the Community Service Program schemes to develop the creative economy and Small and Medium Micro Enterprises (MSMEs). In this service, it was carried out in the kelurahan Babat Jerawat, Surabaya, more specifically in Dukuh Mulyomukti. The development that carried out is to create and develop innovative products from students to become feature product. The implementation itself includes four stages, asking permission, surveys, program preparation and implementation. The activities carried out themselves provide training to MSME actors with the aim of providing human resources to be ready to move independently. The training started from training on SWOT analysis and making business plans, training on making logos and packaging, training on making product photos and cooking Kembang Goyang and finally branding using Instagram social media. The activity lasted for approximately one month was followed smoothly by the participants so that finally the product could be made and sold by the residents of Dukuh Mulyomukti themselves.

Abstract

The differences in resident backgrounds are a challenge for counselors and social workers who working in the rehabilitation of drug abuse. Residents with different backgrounds have different potentials. The potential difference is due to the uneven level of education in society, especially in the lower-middle class. Counselors and social workers must be able to explore and develop the potential of each resident so that after they finish from rehabilitation, they can survive in the community and society will no longer consider them as trash. This can be realized by giving full attention by the counselor to the resident during the rehabilitation process

Abstract

The development of technology today has greatly improved, resulting in influential business efforts of both large and small. Activities in promoting products globally can increase sales volume and profit by using digital marketing. In the majesty of Turi, there are quite a few societies that do business. However, among the MSMEs that have developed, they are still hampered by a lack of knowledge about online marketing. The reason many business actors do not carry out E-commerce activities is because they are more comfortable selling offline (directly), not interested in selling online and lack of knowledge or skills in online marketing. Therefore, a digital marketing strategy activity was held to increase the marketing of MSMEs in Turi Village in Blitar City. The goal is a strategic effort to increase marketing potential through digital marketing for MSMEs in Turi Village, Sukorejo District, Blitar City. The methods used in this activity are socialization, discussion, training and mentoring. The digital marketing strategy to increase marketing for MSMEs in Turi Village, Sukorejo District, Blitar City is carried out in several stages, namely digital marketing socialization and digital marketing training and assistance. It is hoped that MSMEs can apply product photos to attract consumer interest, use a marketplace, create a website to promote MSME products in Turi Village to increase marketing through social media

Abstract

A child needs a parent figure in the stage of growth and development. Parents play an important role in caring for and educating children so that later the child can grow into someone who can make their parents proud. But what if a child doesn't have parental figures in his life? What will be the future for the child if the parents don't want to guide their child, or if the parents are gone, can the child still enjoy his future? Orphanage is a solution to this problem. Orphanage is a place to live for children who are less fortunate due to being abandoned by their parents for various reasons and backgrounds. Every child who is in an orphanage is given services according to what they should get in the family. The needs of food, boards, and clothing, all as much as possible is provided according to needs. Different backgrounds also become a challenge for caregivers. Understanding each character and potential of each child needs to be done, so that children can develop according to their abilities and talents. Thus they will be the same as other children who live with their parents

Abstract

Prevention of stunting in infants and toddlers can be done starting during pregnancy. Nutritional intake in pregnant women can be done by consuming quality food. In an effort to fulfill nutrition for pregnant women and children by consuming nutritious snacks, this service conducted training on making cassava leaf tempeh to the community in the Bukit Surungan village, West Padang Panjang, Padang Panjang City in July 2022. The training activity began with an explanation about the content of cassava leaf tempeh to the trainees and a demonstration of how to make cassava leaves into tempeh with the addition of tempeh yeast. The finished cassava leaf tempeh is fried with tempeh flour and eaten with the trainees. The trainees said that tempeh was delicious and almost the same as tempeh in general. This tempe-making training has been successfully implemented and the community is interested in eating the fried tempeh as a nutritious snackservice activity that has been carried out has achieved its goal of preventing stunting in the city of Padang Panjang.

Abstract

Communication is an interpersonal process that involves verbal and non-verbal changes. Communication refers not only to the content but also to the feelings and emotions in which the individual conveys the relationship, because of that communication must be done as selectively as possible, the elderly for example, need to require special attention from everyone. Seniors in the family play the role of parents, as well as grandparents. Status and other related roles of individuals in a family will change through various ways that take place in the family life cycle. Elderly is a vulnerable age group and needs special attention from the family. Elderly social welfare is an action as an effort to meet the needs of the community, especially the elderly who cannot carry out their social functions, namely by providing assistance and support services. As a result of physical, psychological, emotional and social changes, the elderly demand good communication patterns. This study uses the evaluation method, the results of the study indicate that the importance of good family communication for the social welfare of the elderly. The results of this study can be used as additional knowledge, in providing counseling to families about the importance of implementing good communication in the elderly, and can provide treatment for family problems in elderly care.

Abstract

Karangtaruna is a social organization that becomes the strength of young people in the village. Karangtaruna village by KKNT-PPM Unwira 2022 students is a community service that takes a special role in empowering village youth. The purpose of forming this Karang Taruna is a form of participation and concern for the problems faced by the village community. Activities carried out at the Waijarang Village Office, Nubatukan District, Lembata Regency provide many benefits. The benefits of youth activities, more specifically, must be a continuation of social groups with free creative space so that the planned and planned dynamic steps can be carried out properly. In addition, the formation of Karang Taruna has given a positive color in building the role of each young man and woman in preparing for this year's moment of independence

Abstract

Stunting is one of the health problems that Indonesia is still facing. Stunting is a growth and development disorder that causes a child to have a short or distant stature from the average child of his age. Stunting begins to occur when the fetus is still in the womb caused by the mother's food intake during pregnancy that is less nutritious. As a result, the nutrition obtained by the child in the womb is not sufficient. Stunting in children can be caused by various factors, ranging from genetic factors, lack of nutritional intake during the womb and after birth, repeated infections, to the low level of parental knowledge about the normal growth and development of children. This study aims to see the level of knowledge of mothers in preventing stunting in the work area of the city of Padang Panjang. This type of research is an analytic survey with a research design using a cross sectional study. The results of the study that the mother's level of knowledge was high with a percentage of 66.7%. while stunting prevention is not good with a percentage of 56.7%. The results of statistical tests obtained p value = 0.602, so it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the mother's level of knowledge on the prevention of stunting in the Gunung Padang Panjang Public Health Center in 2022. This study is expected to provide information about the mother's level of knowledge in preventing stunting.
