Abstract

The aim of this research were to known the indicator, rate factors and level of participation to determine the fisherman participation on restricted operation of trawl’s socialization, also to known effect of trawl’s operation at Ville of Pejala Subdistrict of Penajam, District of Penajam Paser Utara. The result showed that indicator rates of fisherman to operate trawl in activity are 15.94 consciously; 9.29 involved; and 8.94 helpful. Factors of participation were determined by internal factors e.i 9.6 of age; 10.6 of education; 6.9 of economic life; and 11 of length of stay, in the other hand, external factor e.i 8.3 of work duration; 12.4 of salary rate, were influenced the degree of fisherman participation on restricted operation of trawl. Based on calculation the degree is high with 65% of participation rate. The impact of trawl’s operation on long period constantly had been decrease the potential of aquatic resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the development prospect of toman breeding business in Muara Muntai Ulu Village based on NVP, IRR, NB/CR criteria and continued with Pay Back Period analysis, and to know the level of sensitivity of toman fish enlargement in Muara Muntai Ulu Village. Sample method used in this research is census method with 10 respondents. This research was conducted in March to September 2017. Data analysis method used is financial feasibility analysis and sensitivity analysis The result of this research indicates that toman breeding (Channa micropeltes cuvier, 1841) in cages in Muara Muntai Ulu village is quite prospective and financially feasible to be continued and developed in the future based on NVP, IRR, NB/CR and Pay Back Period, level of sensitivity analysis indicates that the toman fish breeding effort is not feasible financially to be continued and developed if there is an increase of 506% totol cost, production turn to 84% and price down 84%.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the financial farms, calculate the sensitivity of farms, calculate the breakeven point on the aspect of price, production and sale of farms, and knowing the marketing channels and marketing agencies of farming fish and tiger shrimp in District Babulu Penajam Paser Utara.Methods of sample used is purposive sampling with the number of respondents taken as many as 10 people who conduct business activities in aquaculture. This study was conducted in April 2016 and April 2017. The data analysis method used is the financial method Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR Net), Period of Return on Investment (Payback period), sensitivity analysis (sensitivity analisys) and break-even analysis in the form of a breakeven price, the breakeven point of production, sales breakeven point. The results of this study indicate that further aquaculture fish and tiger shrimp is feasible to be implemented over the period of next five years. The results of the sensitivity analysis of the cultivation of making a profit in the next five years with the current market economic conditions Rp. 593,052,658.00. The actual condition of cultivation based on aspects of production, sales and pricing in general is above the conditions BEP (Break Event Point) with an average value of 5.65. Marketing channels 0 rate of aquaculture No 2 is 0 Rate (cultivators - Consumer) and two levels, namely (cultivators - Wholesalers - Wholesalers Retailers - Consumer).

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the factors correlation of internal, external, and the level of participation of sweets seaweed processing group members in Poklahsar Swakarya Bersama, Penajam Paser Utara Regency. Census method was used in this research with ten respondents. The rank spearman correlation was applied to analysis the correlation of internal factor and external factor on the participation level.The analysis showed that internal factors; age was closely related to the provision of information, business experience was closely related to organizing activities, business experience was very closely related to the attitude of cooperation and provision of information. External factors; income was closely related to the attitude of cooperation and very closely related to the organizing activities, seaweed production was closely related to the organizing activities. The participation level; sweets seaweed processing group members in Poklahsar Swakarya Bersama showed high participation level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research were determinan the readabality of adaption and the level of readability of try and adoption inovation of utilization of cassava flour as additional raw material of fish pellet of Pokdakan member in Sumber Sari Makmur. This research was conducted since March 2017 in Sumber Sari village Loa Kulu district Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The sampling method was used cencus to 11 respondents. The data used by primary data and secondary data, primary data was collected by survey method questionnaire and secondary data obtained from literature study. Data was analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results was obtained the readabality to adoption of utilization of cassava flour as additional Raw Material of Pellet Nile (Oreochromis niloticus) of Pokdakan member in Sumber Sari Makmur. It is known from 11 respondents that 9 (81,8%) of respondents as showed as high to adoption of that innovation.

Abstract

The research is aimed at determining adaptation strategies created by pond farmers, farmers’ perception and the welfare level of farmer families impacted by climate change in East Balikpapan District. The chosen sampling technique was purposive sampling to collect 40 respondents those who are developing pond aquaculture. The research was carried out from March 2016 to January 2017. Data analysis were used qualitative descriptive analysis, Rank Spearman’s correlation analysis and the pond farmers’ terms of trade index. The results showed that farmers’ adaptation strategies to cope with climate change are to increase and decrease water management activities and calcification, to temporarily postpone pond operation, to change the harvest time, to create or to elevate dyke for flood protection and to plant mangrove in the pond and surrounding areas. The correlations between farmers’ perception (X) and perception of climate change (Y) were inversed, weak and not significant. The increased terms of trade during the period of 2015 and 2016 were calculated 1,24 and 1,68 respectively.

Abstract

The purpose of research were to analysis the feasibility study and channel marketing of grouper farming in floating net cages in Tanjung Limau. This study was conducted for 7 months starting from september 2016 to March 2017. The determination of the sample based on the census method with the amount respondents smaller than thirty people. The main data is obtained from the groupers by interviewing how to use questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Revenue Cost Ratio. the results of the analysis show the value as follows the average valve of Revenue Cost Ratiois 2.99 means that the income earned 2.99 times of expenditure, Therefore, grouper farming in Tanjung Limau feasibel to be implemented. The profit of respondents is an average of Rp.7.071.622.00,-/month/person.

Abstract

This research is carried out to determine consumers fish favourite in Dwi Madiun restaurant and to investigate relationsip between price and consumers income to fish choice in Dwi Madiun restaurant. Simple random test is used in this experiment, which individuals is chosen randomly and entirely by chance if see fit as data source. All data was analysed by chi-squared distribution analysis. Result shows consumers tendency to choose favourite fish (milkfish, pomfret, white snappers, red snappers, and chicken), consumers tend to choose the same fish for their meal. There are no significant relationship between price and consumers income to costumers fish choice in Warung Dwi restaurant.

Abstract

This study was aimed to know about the; (1) snakehead fish crackers processor’s knowledge and their responses to the climate change issues, as well as the correlation, (2) between its impact before and during the climate change to the production and income of the crackers processing, and; (3) the economic performance of the processing business before and during the climate change issue. Data collection that had been method used in this study were; Primary data, were gathered through observation and interview. And the secondary data, were gathered by the literatures interview. The sampling method that had been done was the sensus methode which all of the population as sample taken, there were eight respondents. And the data analysis that had been used were qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analyse was measured by the descriptive analysis. While quantitative analyse used non-parametric statistical analysis. The result of this study had shown; that snakehead fish crackers processors already had high knowledge and skills to response the climate change. The correlation between their knowledge and the response of the climate change were negatively strong and insignificant. The impact of the climate-change caused the decline of the both production and income the total revenue had were gathered form 2015 to 2016. They were; 348.634.258,- to Rp 67.931.581,- with RCR value 1,86 and 1,50. The actual condition of the price, sales and production above were the break-even point (BEP) for both years.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and map the types of livelihoods and analyze social actors' access to coastal resources, the research was conducted in April until the month of August 2015. Location of the research conducted in Kampung Teluk Semanting Derawan Island District of Berau District. Data collected by survey method that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The collection of primary data obtained by observation and conduct in-depth interviews (in-depth) with respondents and key informants (key informant) with various categories of social actors include the RT, retainer, community leaders, the chairman of the group of fishermen, fishing and the woman / wife processing of fishery products. Results from this study indicate that there is a diversity results-based livelihoods arrest and the opening of farmland that causes the growth of diversification in the community. And also from the discussion in the focus group forums, communities are not mutually affect the respective opinions of the FGD.
