Abstract

The coastal area of ​​Madura has many fishing boats or fishing vessels of various types and sizes. This situation shows the weakness of the technology applied in the traditional shipbuilding industry. Therefore, the technology of dowel making machine for making wooden dowels is carried out 3 in 1 with the function of shaving wood, cutting wood as desired and sharpening pegs or wood. All work is done in one machine which can be done automatically by setting the desired peg size and running with a microcontroller system. Tests have been carried out on a 3 in 1 dowel machine using 2 motors, the average time is equal to or more than 1 minute/1 piece of peg. Testing the tool using 1 motor obtained an average time of less than 30 seconds to produce 1 wooden peg.

Abstract

The low level of accuracy and precision in the process target tracking by military causing casualties because of shooting error. Shooting error can be due because of human-error like fatigue. Therefore, this study aims to design a system that can detect and lock target automatically so that shooting errors can be minimized. On the implementation, the system uses color detection, which is a part of the digital image processing method. The target image, which has been recorded by a webcam, will be processed by a Raspberry Pi 3b+ using Python and the OpenCV library. Research results shown the ARO-GUN system can perform precise detection on a predetermined target with 100% accuracy of target detection also capable of accurately detecting the target in the light intensity range of 750-1000 lux. Therefore, the ARO-GUN system has been able to meet the design goal to detect accurately so it’s can minimize shooting errors.

Abstract

PT XXX merupakan suatu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur kertas dan karton. Converting Plant merupakan salah satu plant yang ada di perusahaan tersebut dimana terdapat suatu kompresor sentrifugal yang merupakan equipment sangat kritikal karena kompresor tersebut mengalirkan udara bertekanan ke semua mesin produksi. Kompresor hanya dilakukan perbaikan jika ada kerusakan pada komponen-komponennya tanpa dilakukan analisis lebih lanjut kinerja kompresor sebelum terjadinya penurunan kinerja serta analisis penggunaan energi motor listrik sebelum terjadinya penyimpangan penggunaan energi motor listrik. Nilai efisiensi isentropik terendah ada di angka 0.82 dan 0.83 dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 384.30 kW dan 383.1 kW. Nilai beban operasi tertinggi ada di nilai 86.9% dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 384.30 kW. Nilai beban operasi terendah ada di angka 85% dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 371.67 kW. Nilai optimum penggunaan energi listrik ada pada efisiensi isentropik 0.98-0.99 dan beban operasi 85% - 85.3% yaitu 371.67 - 372.15 kW.

Abstract

Sand is an important material in building construction for residential houses, places of worship, offices, educational facilities, and other buildings. Sand generally consists of sand mixed with gravel and stone. An automatic sand sieving machine makes separating rock gravel from sand easier. Making an automatic sand sieving machine aims to get better quality and cleaner sand screening results. This sand sifter machine is made to prevent the entry of gravel in the sieving process. In addition, the sand sieving process can be more efficient and effective. The automatic sand sieving machine has dimensions of 100 cm long, 70 cm wide, and 80 cm high. The test results of the sand sieving machine can sift sand with a capacity of 5 kg in 15 seconds and a sand capacity of 10 kg in 32 seconds.

Abstract

Internet technology can connect two computers to communicate with each other, both sending and receiving data even at great distances. By using the Telegram Bot we can connect to the module used to control the lights. With this remote light control tool, we can turn off or turn on the lights with an unlimited distance as long as we are connected to the internet network. By using a smartphone we can do this under any circumstances and check the status of the lights that we control whether they are on or off. Control lights via Telegram using components in the form of lights, relays, NodeMCU ESP8266 modules. After programming the NodeMCU ESP8266 module, in the design of this tool the following components are obtained, namely 4 20 watt lamps, 1 4 channel relay, ESP8266 NodeMCU Module with a maximum input of 12 volts.

Abstract

The use of solar energy is used on a fishing boat that usually uses petroleum fuel, aiming to help fishermen in technological innovation and minimize the use of petroleum as fuel on fishing boats. The process and stages in the design and construction of solar power plants on fishing boats are based on related problems regarding limited energy sources, so solar power plants are made as an alternative to lighting needs and loads on fishing boats. With a budget of Rp.2,240,000, a solar power plant can be built for lighting installations with components used by a 100 Wp solar cell, an inverter with a capacity of 500 watts, solar charge controller with a capacity of 10 A, battery with a capacity of 12 V / 50 Ah, LED, NYM cable with a size of 2 x 1.5 mm2, a single switch and MCB 2 with a capacity of 2 Amperes.

Abstract

Teknologi persenjataan secara mobile banyak menggunakan kendali secara langsung ditempat yang dapat membahayakan pengguna. Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah produk bernama ARO-GUN yang dapat menembak target secara akurat, serta mampu dikendalikan secara jarak jauh dengan massa yang ringan dan memanfaatkan kontrol dari gestur tangan. Pengujian dilakukan dengan melihat keakuratan sudut, kecepatan, dan waktu respon sehingga dapat dilihat persentase error berdasarkan parameter yang telah ditentukan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan terdapat error pada masing-masing pengujian, yaitu 1,89% untuk keakuratan sensor gestur tangan, 18,98% untuk waktu respon transceiver, 10,75% untuk kecepatan rotasi, dan 17,92% untuk respon pergerakan senjata.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk ARO-GUN dapat dioperasikan sebagai senjata mobile dengan memanfaatkan gestur tangan sebagai penentu arah pergerakan yang dapat dikendalikan sejauh 18 meter. Selain itu, ARO-GUN memiliki kecepatan sebesar 300 rpm dengan massa sebesar 4,30 Kg yang lebih ringan bila dibandingkan dengan massa senjata mobile yang telah diproduksi.

Abstract

Teknologi persenjataan yang terus berkembang dan semakin canggih menjadikan negara-negara terus mengembangkan senjata otomatis. Pengendalian pergerakan dan posisi senjata yang dilakukan secara manual sangat sulit mendapatkan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi, sehingga ketidakakuratan dalam penembakan dapat menimbulkan korban jiwa. Untuk meminimalisir hal tersebut maka dibutuhkan penggerak senjata secara otomatis. Pada penilitian ini dikembangkan sebuah produk bernama ARO-GUN yang dapat melakukan penguncian dan penembakan target dengan menggunakan motor DC jenis servo MG996R. Produk ARO-GUN ini berdasarkan pengujian memiliki ti ngkat akurasi dalam melakukan penguncian dan penembakan pada sumbu X rata-rata sebesar  98,51% dan rata-rata error sebesar 1,50% sedangkan pada sumbu Y memiliki tingkat akurasi rata-rata sebesar 97,97% dan rata-rata error sebesar 1,94%.Berdasarkan penilitian dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan dapat di simpulkan jika sistem penembakan pada produk ARO-GUN ini dapat mempermudah kinerja militer dalam penggunaan senjata serta dapat meminimalisir adanya korban jiwa akibat kesalahan dan ketidakakuratan dalam melakukan penembakan.

Abstract

This research modifies the bottle jack to remove the electric motor bearing of a water pump with a jack capacity of 2 tons. Bottle jacks are generally used to lift vehicles such as cars. The bottle jack can be modified so that it can be used as a bearing removal device. In general, the way to remove the bearing is still manual, namely by hitting it. The purpose of making this tool is to make it easier to remove the water pump electric motor bearing. The specifications of the tool are that it has a height of 16 - 27 cm. The width of the tool is 6 cm and the maximum pressure capacity of the bottle jack is 2 tons. The trial results of the bottle jack modification tool to remove the water pump electric motor bearings obtained an average time of 45 seconds.

Abstract

Hardenability is the ability of a material to harden to a certain depth utilizing heat treatment to form martensiteupon cooling to achieve a certain hardness. The hardness of a metal, especially steel, can be modified withoutadding alloying elements and is done by heat treatment. Steel's hardenability value is strongly influenced by thecarbon content (carburizing) in the steel structure. Increasing the hardness of a material can be done by addingcarbon to the object's surface during heat treatment. The Rockwell Hardness Test method measures the surfaceof the hardness. The test results on the specimens showed that the carburizing process of each specimenincreased the hardness of the surface of the specimen. The distribution of hardenability values is close to alinear line, namely the heat treatment temperature 900℃
