This community service program aims to empower the community of Ujung Tanah District, Makassar City in circular economy-based waste management. Ujung Tanah District as a coastal area with high population density faces complex waste problems, especially waste that ends up in the sea and disrupts the coastal ecosystem. The implementation methods included socialization and education, waste sorting and processing training, establishment of Waste Banks, mentoring for recycled product creation, and marketing system development. The results showed a significant improvement in community knowledge about waste management, with average scores increasing from 45.2 to 82.6. Four active Waste Bank units were established with a total of 320 household customers. The managed waste volume reached 2.4 tons per month with an economic value of IDR 8,500,000 per month. Recycled products include ecobrick crafts, bags from plastic packaging, and compost fertilizer. Abstract

This community service program aims to revitalize religious and social-value-based worship services for people with mental disorders (ODGJ) level 4 to support the rehabilitation process at the Sidoarjo Regency Social Service. ODGJ level 4 are individuals with mild mental disorders who still have the potential to develop socially and spiritually if they receive appropriate support. However, in practice, the rehabilitation program tends to focus on medical and psychological aspects, while spiritual guidance has not been optimally integrated. The implementation method uses a participatory approach involving companions, families, and the social environment under the coordination of the Sidoarjo Regency Social Service. The results of the activity indicate that the revitalization of religious and social-value-based worship services can increase the involvement of ODGJ in worship activities, improve social interactions, and have a positive impact on the emotional stability of participants. In addition, this program also encourages the active role of families and communities in supporting the spiritual-based rehabilitation process. Thus, the approach worship assistance based on socio-religious values can be an alternative model in supporting the holistic rehabilitation of ODGJ level 4, which includes spiritual, social, and psychological aspects, especially in the context of community-based services at the Sidoarjo Regency Social Service.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 and the transition towards Society 5.0 demand an increase in digital literacy and a basic understanding of technology systems starting from secondary education. The Community Service (CS) Program conducted by the Department of Electrical Engineering Universitas Presiden aims to introduce the concepts of logic gates and digital systems to students of SMA 1 Cikarang Pusat. This CS integrates theoretical explanations and simulation practice using the online platform Circuitverse. This CS was evaluated using a Likert scale (1–4) questionnaire instrument, namely Expectation (Importance) and Performance, with a total of 40 student respondents. The analysis results show that all indicators received an average performance score above 3.30, with satisfaction indices ranging from 82.50% to 90.62%, which falls into the very high category. The indicator for the use of appropriate technology received the highest score of 90.62%, indicating the relevance of the material to current technological developments. The Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that most indicators are in the 'maintain performance' quadrant, indicating alignment between participants' expectations and the activity's performance. These findings suggest that the workshop is effective in enhancing students' understanding of basic digital system concepts while also fostering interest in engineering and technology fields. The activity underscores the strategic role of universities in bridging the technology literacy gap at the secondary education level in response to the challenges of the IR4.0 and Society 5.0.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of appropriate technology (AT) in the form of an organic waste shredder machine at the Maju Bersama Joint Business Group (KUB) in Nagari Kamang Tangah Anam Suku, West Sumatra. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews. This research analyzes the role of organizations in implementing TTG thru four main aspects: inter-organizational task roles, resource task roles, service task roles, and extra-organizational roles. The research results show that inter-organizational task roles are reflected thru coordination and partnerships between TTG institutions, village governments, relevant agencies, and financial institutions that support program planning and implementation. The role of resource tasks is evident in KUB's ability to manage funding, human resources, and organic waste raw materials in an integrated manner to support the sustainability of activities. The role of service tasks is realized thru direct mentoring, technical guidance, and training provided to KUB members, thereby enhancing community skills and independence in operating technology. Meanwhile, the extra-organizational role is evident in efforts to build networks with external parties, the use of social media as a means of disseminating innovation, and the involvement of universities in developing technology based on local needs. Overall, these four roles are interconnected and contribute to improving the effectiveness of appropriate technology implementation and supporting community empowerment based on organic waste management.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMNeg) in Makariki possess regional economic potential. However, business managers face cash flow recording obstacles. They have not implemented standard bookkeeping. This community service aims to provide training and mentoring in financial document preparation using the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities framework. The implementation method consists of preparation, execution, and evaluation stages. The execution stage includes initial testing, material presentation, interactive discussion, and final testing. Evaluation results indicate this program resolves participants' financial literacy problems. Participants' understanding regarding bookkeeping accounts and calculating profit and loss increased. Participants can compile drafts of income statements, financial positions, and supporting notes independently. In conclusion, intensive mentoring changes participants' mindsets from conventional management to a more structured one. Systematic bookkeeping helps participants separate personal and business assets. These records also serve as administrative requirements to access additional capital from banks or government assistance programs. This program supports the transparency and accountability of village fund management through BUMNeg.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen government governance and adaptive digital human resource (HR) capacity of civil servants (ASN) in sub-districts of South Pontianak District, Pontianak City. The main problems identified through preliminary surveys were the low awareness and willingness of apparatuses to adapt to digital technology, as well as the absence of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) in internal administrative governance. Methods employed included reflective discussion, interactive lectures and discussions, and SOP drafting assistance. Evaluation was conducted using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) along with pre-test and post-test instruments comprising 20 questions. The activity involved 18 apparatuses representing five sub-districts (Banua Melayu Darat, Banua Melayu Laut, Akcaya, Kota Baru, and Parit Tokaya) and one district representative. Results showed an increase in participants' average score from 75.00 (pre-test) to 86.47 (post-test), representing a 16% improvement. Additionally, the activity produced five internal administrative SOP documents and a Follow-Up Action Plan (RKTL) from each sub-district as a commitment to digital transformation implementation. In conclusion, education-based intervention and technical assistance proved effective in improving sub-district apparatus competency in supporting digital bureaucratic reform.
