Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a critical global public health challenge requiring innovative and scalable solutions. The rapid development of digital technologies offers a promising approach to strengthening nutrition communication and health promotion. However, systematic evidence specifically examining the role of digital nutrition information in supporting stunting prevention remains fragmented. Objective: This study aimed to systematically evaluate the role of digital nutrition information access in supporting stunting prevention. Design: Systematic Literature Review (SLR) conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and registered in PROSPERO (CRD402612345). Data Sources: Electronic databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Garuda. Literature search was conducted in January 2026 for studies published between 2016 and 2026. Review A total of 300 records were identified. After duplicate removal, title/abstract screening, and full-text eligibility assessment, 13 original research articles met the inclusion criteria. Methodological quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Tools and Cochrane Risk of Bias 2 (RoB 2). Findings were synthesized using a narrative synthesis because of heterogeneity across interventions and outcomes. Results: Thirteen studies evaluated various digital interventions including mobile applications (38.5%), educational videos (23.1%), online learning platforms (15.4%), SMS (15.4%), and social media campaigns (7.6%). Eleven studies reported significant improvements in maternal nutrition knowledge, ten demonstrated improved complementary feeding practices, and eight showed protective effects against growth faltering. Mobile application interventions were associated with a 22% reduction in stunting risk (RR = 0.78). Conclusion: Digital nutrition information has the potential to contribute to stunting prevention by improving maternal nutrition literacy and optimal child-feeding practices. However, digital interventions should complement—not replace—comprehensive multisectoral public health strategies and investments in digital infrastructure to reduce inequities in access and achieve sustainable improvements in child growth.

Abstract

Background: Delays in BPJS Health e-claim submission remain an administrative challenge that may affect hospital cash flow and operational sustainability. The complexity of claim processes requires effective management of human resources, medical documentation, information systems, regulations, and organizational support. Objectives: This study aimed to identify factors associated with delays in BPJS Health e-claim submission at a government hospital in Sragen Regency. Methods: This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design involving 19 officers directly involved in the BPJS e-claim process. Total sampling was applied. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and claim document observations. Variables included human resource quality, completeness of medical documents, information system quality, BPJS regulations, and hospital management support. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Fisher’s Exact Test due to the small sample size. Results: Most respondents were aged 31–40 years (52.6%), female (68.4%), had a bachelor’s degree (52.6%), and had long work experience (42.1%). Fisher’s Exact Test showed significant associations between claim delays and human resource quality (p=0.000), completeness of medical documents (p=0.001), information system quality (p=0.045), and hospital management support (p=0.018). No significant association was found between BPJS regulations and claim delays (p=0.650). The most prominent factors related to claim delays were human resource quality and medical document completeness. Conclusion: Delays in BPJS Health e-claim submission were associated with human resources, medical document completeness, information system quality, and hospital management support. Strengthening staff competency, improving real-time medical record completeness monitoring, and optimizing BPJS e-claim system integration are recommended to improve claim submission efficiency and hospital financial management.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents face various challenges that increase their vulnerability to mental health problems. Adaptive coping strategies and self-efficacy are important factors in maintaining mental well-being, while personality type influences adolescents’ ability to adapt. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship of personality type and self-efficacy with mental health among adolescents at MA Mazroatul Ulum Paciran Lamongan. Methods: This study used an analytic correlational approach with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 89 twelfth-grade students, with 73 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Independent variables were personality type and self-efficacy, while mental health was the dependent variable. Instruments included the Jung Type Indicator Questionnaire, the General Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Mental Health Continuum–Short Form. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test and Spearman’s rank correlation test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: Most respondents had an extroverted personality type, high self-efficacy (68.5%), and high mental health levels (69.9%). The Chi-square test showed a significant relationship between personality type and mental health (p < 0.001, OR = 41.4). The Spearman’s rank correlation test also indicated a significant and very strong relationship between self-efficacy and mental health (p < 0.001, r = 0.758). Conclusion: Introverted adolescents were more likely to experience poor mental health than extroverted adolescents. Higher self-efficacy was associated with better mental health. Personality type and self-efficacy significantly influence adolescents’ mental health. Nurses play an important role in providing mental health education for adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension remains one of the leading non-communicable diseases worldwide and is a major contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Despite the availability of effective pharmacological treatments, achieving optimal blood pressure control remains a significant challenge. Lifestyle modification, including healthy dietary practices, regular physical activity, weight management, smoking cessation, and stress reduction, is widely recognized as a fundamental component of hypertension management. However, the extent to which lifestyle modification influences blood pressure control among patients with hypertension remains an important area of investigation. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationship between lifestyle modification and blood pressure control among patients with hypertension. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 36 patients diagnosed with hypertension in the working area of Pelas Primary Health Center, Kediri Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Participants were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire assessing lifestyle modification practices, including dietary behavior, physical activity, weight management, smoking cessation, stress management, and adherence to healthy lifestyle recommendations. Blood pressure was measured using a calibrated digital sphygmomanometer following standardized procedures. Lifestyle modification was categorized into poor, moderate, and good levels, while blood pressure status was classified as controlled or uncontrolled based on established hypertension guidelines. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and multivariable logistic regression. Statistical significance was set at p < .05. Results: The findings showed that 50.0% of participants demonstrated moderate lifestyle modification, while 27.8% reported good lifestyle modification practices. More than half of the participants (58.3%) had uncontrolled blood pressure. A significant association was found between lifestyle modification and blood pressure control (χ² = 9.71, p = .008). Participants with good lifestyle modification practices exhibited a substantially higher proportion of controlled blood pressure (80.0%) compared with those with moderate (33.3%) and poor (12.5%) lifestyle modification. Logistic regression analysis revealed that good lifestyle modification was independently associated with blood pressure control (AOR = 5.84; 95% CI = 1.42–24.03; p = .014). Conclusion: Lifestyle modification was significantly associated with blood pressure control among patients with hypertension. Patients who practiced healthier lifestyle behaviors were more likely to achieve controlled blood pressure. Strengthening lifestyle-based interventions and self-management support programs may improve hypertension outcomes and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.

Abstract

Background: Population ageing has become a major public health concern, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where older adults are at increased risk of mental health problems. Family plays a central role in providing emotional, social, and practical support that may contribute to maintaining psychological well-being among older adults. However, evidence regarding the relationship between family role and mental health among community-dwelling older adults in Indonesia remains limited. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationship between family role and mental health among community-dwelling older adults in Indonesia. Methods: A community-based correlational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among older adults residing in Indonesia. Participants were selected using a probability sampling technique and met the predefined inclusion criteria. Data on family role and mental health status were collected using validated structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize participant characteristics, while the relationship between family role and mental health was analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation test. Statistical significance was determined at p < 0.05. Results: The findings demonstrated that participants who perceived stronger family roles tended to have better mental health status. Statistical analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between family role and mental health among community-dwelling older adults (p < 0.05). Older adults who received adequate emotional support, effective communication, and active family involvement exhibited better psychological well-being and fewer symptoms of emotional distress than those with limited family support. Conclusion: Family role is significantly associated with mental health among community-dwelling older adults. Strengthening family involvement through supportive communication, emotional care, and active participation in daily living may contribute to improved mental well-being in older adults. Family-centered interventions should be incorporated into community health programs to promote healthy ageing and prevent mental health problems among older populations.
