Abstract

This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of international trade in the digital era for developing countries, particularly Indonesia. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method was employed to provide an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of digital trade, including the factors influencing its success and obstacles. The research data was collected through a comprehensive literature review of official reports from international organizations such as the WTO, UNCTAD, and the World Bank, as well as related academic publications. The findings indicate that Indonesia faces several challenges in digital trade, including the need for adaptive regulations, cybersecurity issues, digital infrastructure gaps, and human resource development. However, the digital era also presents significant opportunities, such as increased access to international markets through e-commerce platforms, the growth of the fintech sector, and the potential to become a technological innovation hub in Southeast Asia. To optimize these opportunities, investments in education, digital infrastructure, and active participation in international forums are essential. This study concludes that although the challenges of international trade in the digital era are complex, the opportunities it offers can provide substantial benefits for developing countries if effectively managed.

Abstract

This study aims to map the geographical potential for the development of layer chicken farming in Lintau Buo District, Tanah Datar Regency. The method used is the weighted overlay method, which works by overlaying multiple maps representing various parameters of an area's conditions. Each parameter is assigned a weight based on its importance using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The alternative data used in this study consists of four nagari in Lintau Buo District: Nagari Pangian, Nagari Tigo Jangko, Nagari Buo, and Nagari Taluak. The research results indicate that Lintau Buo District has varying potential for poultry farming development. Nagari Pangian has a high-potential area of 391 hectares and a medium-potential area of 2,317 hectares. Nagari Tigo Jangko dominates the high-potential classification with an area of 3,514 hectares, while the medium-potential area covers 857 hectares, making it an ideal region for large-scale poultry farming. Meanwhile, Nagari Buo falls entirely within the medium-potential category, covering 906 hectares. Nagari Taluak has a high-potential area of 417 hectares and a medium-potential area of 3,125 hectares. These findings suggest that the development of layer chicken farming in Lintau Buo District should integrate geographical factors and regional carrying capacity to ensure sustainability and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Determine the level of traffic noise in the commercial areas of SJS Plaza Padang and Pasar Nanggalo. (2) Assess the impact of vegetation in reducing traffic noise levels. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of commercial areas in Nanggalo District, Padang City, where vegetation is available as the research object. The sample includes two different commercial locations: SJS Plaza Padang and Pasar Nanggalo. Data collection was conducted at two points in each location (in front of the vegetation and behind the vegetation), resulting in four measurement points in total. The research finding: (1) Traffic Noise Levels: The noise level in the SJS Plaza Padang commercial area ranges between 81.1 dB – 87.3 dB. The lowest noise level at SJS Plaza Padang is 81.1 dB, occurring on a holiday morning, while the highest noise level is 87.3 dB, occurring on a holiday afternoon. The noise level in the Pasar Nanggalo commercial area ranges between 73 dB – 80.1 dB. The lowest noise level at Pasar Nanggalo is 73 dB, occurring on a holiday afternoon, while the highest noise level is 80.1 dB, occurring on a weekday morning. (2) Effect of Vegetation on Noise Reduction The regression test results indicate a small effect of vegetation on noise reduction, with a coefficient of -0.001 between leaf canopy volume and traffic noise reduction. This means that every 1 m³ increase in leaf canopy volume only reduces noise levels by 0.001 dB. Therefore, combining vegetation with barriers such as concrete walls or sound fences, along with strategic urban design, can provide a more effective and sustainable solution for reducing traffic noise in larger areas.

Abstract

The toddler years are a period of growth spurt where optimal brain growth and development occurs. The first five years are a period that will determine physical formation. MP-ASI is also known as the transition from breast milk to daily food gradually and slowly starting from the type, frequency of administration, amount of administration and form that is adjusted to the baby's ability to digest food. In Indonesia, giving MP-ASI is not appropriate. This is a problem for children because improper provision of MP-ASI can cause constipation, nutritional problems and stunting. One alternative to overcome children's nutritional problems is local MP-ASI, which is made at home and made from mixed food ingredients that are full of nutrients. Local MP-ASI is made from food ingredients that are generally available, cheap and easily obtained by the community. The main impact of this research is to help parents find out about local food ingredients that can be used as MP-ASI so that it can help reduce the risk of toddlers contracting nutritional problems, as well as helping further research for those who carry out relevant research. The type of research is a cross-sectional analytical design which was carried out in August 2024, with a sample size of 117 people, and used a simple random sampling technique. Types of local food ingredients were identified by completing the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) questionnaire by respondents. Where five groups of local food ingredients are obtained which are processed into MP-ASI, namely two types of food ingredients of class one (grains), two types of food ingredients of class two (tubers), seven types of food ingredients of class three (animals), three types of food in group four (legumes), and thirteen types of food in group five (fruit and vegetables).
