Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the students of Alliful Ikhwan Silangkitang Labuhan Batu Selatan Islamic Boarding School Students are able to access, evaluate, and use information on the contents of the tallow book with international literacy standards. The results showed that the results of this study, namely the ability of the Alliful Ikhwan Silangkitang Islamic Boarding School students to access information on the yellow book is quite good, this can be seen from the information obtained from discussing with the teacher and ustadz and also with friends, then the information obtained is then sorted and selected to be applied in everyday life. The ability of Islamic boarding school students to evaluate information on the yellow book is quite good. It can be aeen that to get clear information, everyone has different versions, some choose and sort the information first, and some directly use the information.

Abstract

This study discusses the Importance of Mastering English for Prospective Indonesian Librarians in Improving and Maintaining a Profession in the Digital Era. This study aims to find out that prospective librarians must prioritize the importance of English in their profession in today's digital era. The research method used is the literature study method to find out more deeply about a series of activities related to the method of collecting library data, reading, recording, and managing research materials (Zed, 2008: 3). In general, literature study is a way to solve problems by tracing the sources of writing that have been made before. The data needed in this study can be obtained from library sources or documents, such as from textbooks, journals, scientific articles, as well as review literature containing the concepts to be researched. Research with the study of literature does not have to go down to the field and meet with respondents. The results of this study show that mastering English can increase "value" and a career that will be more valued in the international world of work. composition of English Speaking course material 1) Importance of English Speaking for Librarians 2) English Vocabularies in Library 3) English Daily Routine Expressions 4) English Presentation. Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Instagram accounts in meeting the information needs of library science students and to find out the obstacles experienced by library science students. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that uses interviews to describe the data obtained by researchers directly, to obtain a clear and detailed picture of how the use of the @melektechnology.id Instagram account is to fulfill the information needs of 2018 Stambuk Library Science students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the researchers conducted interviews with informants who follow the @melektechnology.id Instagram account. The results of this study indicate that the informants who have been interviewed all follow the @melektechnology.id instagram account and they take advantage of the information contained in the account according to the needs they want. Constraints experienced by informants when searching for information on the account, namely an unstable network, cellular data and information on the account drowned. Abstract

Domestic library cooperation network is intended as a type of network that occurs in libraries so that cooperative relationships between other libraries are established in an effort to fulfill what is needed by users so that they can satisfy users and the purpose of library services can be achieved. The method used to carry out this research is to conduct a literature study which is further developed in a qualitative descriptive form so that the contents of the journal will provide a more in-depth explanation. Abstract

Universities must have libraries to encourage student literacy, the library is a location for a collection of information provided to add insight that is not known, in this study the researchers looked at how library collaboration was built for the sake of fulfilling information in the library, collaboration is one of the supports for libraries to meet information needs which exists. Along with the times, Indonesia is also developing, one of which is technology, so libraries use technology to facilitate collaboration, through library collaboration networks it is very easy to do, even at a long distance, libraries are very easy to access by other people, one example is the establishment of organizations such as FPPTI and FKP2TN. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the Strategies of the Cahaya Inspiration Reading House in cultivating reading among coastal children. describes what obstacles are faced in cultivating reading in coastal children's grief and describes the solutions taken to overcome the obstacles encountered in increasing a reading culture. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research location is the Light of Inspiration reading house (RUBACI) which is in the village of Bandar Sono, Nibung Hankus sub-district, Batubara district. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is data reduction, data display and data retrieval. Data validity tester. The results of this study concluded that the light inspiring reading house is making maximum efforts to improve the reading culture among children even though there are still many obstacles to be faced, but the management of the light inspiration reading house has made several solutions to overcome the obstacles it faces. Suggestions for the manager of the light-inspired reading house include managers who are expected to be more active in managing the reading house and need to improve and add several facilities such as bookshelves.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how print collections are utilized by users in the Labuhanbatu Regency Public Library, and what obstacles users face when utilizing print collections in the Labuhanbatu Regency Public Library. This kind of research uses a qualitative approach and is descriptive in nature. The research participants in this study are patrons of the library. Purposive sampling was utilised in this study to obtain the data. Three methods of gathering data were employed: documentation, interviews, and observation. Data reduction, data presentation, and decision-making are examples of descriptive analysis-based data analysis procedures. From the results of research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that the use of print collections by students is that they are more likely to use them by reading the print collection themselves in the library because the atmosphere is calm. The obstacles faced by library users are the lack of or minimal collections in the library, both aducational and entertainment books ( illustrated collections) so that they do not meet their information needs and the library’s limited operational hours.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how employees of the Deli Serdang Regency Public Library maintain the library materials there and the challenges or obstacles they face in doing so. This type of research uses qualitative and descriptive methodology. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, and documentation. Purposive sampling, which is used in this research, is to identify informants. Technical data analysis is carried out in four ways, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of the research conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that the maintenance of library materials carried out by the Deli Serdang Regency Public Library is repairing damaged books by covering books, sewing, maintaining cleanliness on the bookshelves, and making appeals to users to work together to maintain and keep the books. The obstacles faced in maintaining library materials at the Deli Serdang Regency Public Library are equipment that are still minimal and inadequate, lack of human resources, and lack of awareness of the users themselves.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of grey literature collection at Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia (WBI) Polytechnic Library. This study aims to determine the use of grey literature collections in the Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Politechnic (WBI) library and to determine the obstacles experienced by users in utilizing grey literature collections in the P-WBI library. This Type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews an documentation. While the data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. This research was conducted at the Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia Polytechnic library. The result of this study show that the use of grey literature collections in the library is well utulized by users in their daily activities to find reference materials to fulfill college assignments or student final projects. The obstacles experienced by users in utilizing grey literature collections are unstable conditions of information accessibility, completeness of collections and disorganization of documents or collections

Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of WhatsApp social media as a means of disseminating information at the North Labuhanbatu Regency Library and Archives Service Office. And it aims to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using WhatsApp social media as a means of disseminating information at the North Labuhanbatu Regency Library and Archives Service Office. The theory used in this research is New Media theory. This type of research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. By using WhatsApp social media, information can be spread easily. Significant changes can be seen when the Head of Service disseminates information quickly and is easily known to other employees. It can also be seen within the group and employee activity can be seen. The advantage of using WhatsApp social media as information dissemination, it makes it easier to disseminate information between employees in disseminating information that is delivered quickly and carried out online. If there is something that must be conveyed by the Head of Service or something that is not understood, you can discuss it in the group. The weakness of using WhatsApp social media to disseminate information is that you have to have an internet connection so that the message can be conveyed immediately. Because WhatsApp is a social media application whose main function is to communicate, the dissemination of information can be fulfilled if someone spreads the information.
