Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors influencing consumer behavior in modern retail in Bandar Lampung City. The increase in the number of households in Bandar Lampung has driven the growth of consumption activities, particularly in the modern retail sector. Chandra Super Store Karang, as one of the retail stores with a high level of customer visits, reflects the dynamics of household consumption behavior in the region. From the perspective of demand theory, consumption decisions are influenced by economic factors such as price and income, as well as non-price factors related to consumer preferences, including store atmosphere, comfort, facilities, merchandise, employee interaction, and service quality. This research employs a quantitative inferential approach, which aims to test hypotheses and draw general conclusions from sample data to the broader population. The population consists of households that have shopped at Chandra Super Store Karang, with a sample of 340 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data used are primary data collected through structured questionnaires, supported by relevant secondary data. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to assess the validity and reliability of the instruments and to analyze the causal relationships among variables in the research model. The inferential approach was applied to determine the significance of the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results indicate that promotion and price, store atmosphere, employee interaction, and service quality have a positive and significant effect on household consumption. In addition, household consumption patterns remain focused on fulfilling basic needs as an essential component of daily welfare. This study confirms that the shopping experience plays a strategic role in encouraging consumption and fostering customer loyalty in modern retail stores

The research method used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who were users of the KISI Securities application in Padang City. The data analysis results indicate that social media marketing has a positive and significant effect on securities purchasing decisions, and service quality has a positive and significant effect on securities purchasing decisions. In addition, purchasing interest has a positive and significant influence on the decision to purchase securities. The results of the study also show that social media marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchasing interest, while service quality does not have a significant effect on purchasing interest. Furthermore, the results of the intervening variable test indicate that purchase intention mediates the influence of social media marketing on securities purchasing decisions, but not the influence of service quality on securities purchasing decisions.Based on the research results, it can be concluded that social media marketing plays a significant role in increasing purchasing interest and securities purchasing decisions among KISI Securities app users in Padang City, while service quality plays a more direct role in securities purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The increasing number of young investors in Indonesia in recent years reflects significant growth in capital market participation. However, this phenomenon also raises the potential for investment decisions influenced by psychological factors, particularly heuristic biases and risk perception. This study aims to analyze the effect of overconfidence, representativeness, availability, gambler’s fallacy, and anchoring on stock investment decisions, as well as to examine the role of risk perception as a mediating variable among young retail investors in Tangerang City. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal research design and a cross-sectional method. The population consists of young retail investors aged 18–35 years who have been actively investing in stocks for at least one year. A total of 188 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Primary data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS).The results indicate that all heuristic bias variables have a positive effect on investment decisions. Furthermore, risk perception significantly influences investment decisions and serves as a mediating variable, with a negative mediating effect on the relationship between availability bias and investment decisions. These findings confirm that young investors’ decisions are not entirely rational but are influenced by cognitive biases and risk perception. Therefore, enhancing behavioral financial literacy is essential to promote wiser and more sustainable investment decision-making.

Abstract

The development of digital transformation in the banking industry requires every financial institution to continuously improve service quality in order to maintain and increase customer satisfaction. This is also the case at Bank Rakyat Indonesia Panjalu Unit, which faces challenges in the form of customer complaints regarding long queues for conventional services and technical obstacles in the BRImo application, such as system disruptions and errors during transactions. This situation shows a gap between customer expectations and the reality of the services they receive, necessitating research to identify the factors that influence their satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital and conventional service quality on customer satisfaction and to determine the most dominant influencing variables. The method used is a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents selected through simple random sampling from a total of 8,753 active customers. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, interviews, and literature studies, then analyzed using multiple linear regression through validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, t-tests, and F-tests using SPSS. The results show that digital services have a significant negative effect on customer satisfaction (sig. 0.024), while conventional services have a positive and significant effect (sig. 0.000) and are the most dominant variable. Simultaneously, both variables contribute 73.8% to customer satisfaction, so improving the stability of digital systems and enhancing the quality of face-to-face interactions are strategic steps to increase customer loyalty and trust.

Abstract

MSMEs in North Sumatra face significant sustainability challenges due to market dynamics and resource limitations. This study aims to analyze the adaptation and sustainability of North Sumatran MSMEs using the McKinsey 7S Model approach. Using a qualitative-descriptive method, the research involved in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. The sample consisted of 40 MSME actors across Medan, Binjai, and East Kisaran selected via purposive sampling. Data was validated through triangulation and analyzed using a thematic approach based on the seven 7S elements. Findings reveal that while "soft" elements like Shared Values and Style are strong, significant gaps exist in "hard" elements, specifically Systems and Skills, which hinder digital transformation. In conclusion, achieving business sustainability requires aligning all 7S elements. Practical implications suggest that MSMEs must formalize operational systems and enhance digital literacy through structured training to improve long-term competitiveness.

Abstract

This study is motivated by fluctuations in the financial performance of PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk during the period 2014–2024, which have the potential to significantly affect the firm value. This condition reflects the importance of conducting an in-depth analysis of the factors influencing firm value in order to identify the most dominant variables. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of profitability, growth opportunity, and capital structure on firm value at PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk for the period 2014–2024.n This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method to provide a clear overview of the relationships among the variables. The data used are secondary data in the form of the company’s annual financial statements over an 11-year period. The data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation), multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis testing consisting of partial tests (t-test) and simultaneous tests (F-test). The results show that partially, profitability and growth opportunity do not have a significant effect on firm value, while capital structure has a significant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, profitability, growth opportunity, and capital structure have a significant effect on firm value. The conclusion of this study indicates that capital structure is the most dominant factor influencing firm value during the research period. The findings are expected to serve as a consideration for company management in determining funding policies to enhance firm value.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia’s industrial sector has intensified sustainability demands, yet empirical studies integrating Knowledge Management (KM) as a driver of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) in Indonesian manufacturing firms remain limited. This study aims to analyze the relationship and causal effect of KM on GSCM implementation at PT XYZ. A mixed-method approach was employed combining descriptive quantitative and qualitative research. The population comprised all SCM Division employees at PT XYZ, with 16 selected through purposive and census sampling. Primary data were collected via a 20-item, 4-point Likert scale questionnaire and in-depth interviews with the SCM Division Head; secondary data came from company documents. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression at the 5% significance level, while qualitative data validated all findings through method triangulation. Results show a strong positive correlation between KM and GSCM (r = 0.63; p < 0.05) and a significant causal effect (β = 0.57; R² = 0.39), with KM accounting for 39% of GSCM implementation variance. KM and GSCM at PT XYZ have a strong positive relationship, and KM significantly influences GSCM implementation. Companies should strengthen KM through knowledge-sharing and continuous training to accelerate green supply chain adoption.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the regional economy, creating jobs, and improving community welfare. However, many have not yet implemented operational cost accounting optimally, resulting in inadequate cost information for effective decision-making. This study aims to analyze the implementation of operational cost accounting at Pak Wayan Fried Crackers MSME in Kolaka District. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation with the business owner as the primary informant. This study also identifies production cost components consisting of raw material costs, direct labor costs, and factory overhead costs as the basis for calculating the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on cost accounting theory. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of cost accounting has been carried out simply but not optimally. The owner has calculated the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), but the recording is still manual and unstructured. The COGS of a product with a selling price of Rp1,000 is Rp944 per pack, while the product with a selling price of Rp2,000 is Rp682 per pack. The total profit obtained is Rp1,166,400. A product with a price of Rp2,000 provides a larger profit margin than a product with a price of Rp1,000, so it has the potential to be a more profitable product for the business. The main obstacles include fluctuations in standard language prices, difficulties in allocating indirect costs, limited accounting knowledge, and the absence of structured financial reports. This study concludes that the implementation of operational cost accounting in businesses still needs to be improved through a more systematic recording system to support efficiency and accuracy of decision making.
