Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of an imbalance in rice productivity in Tanjung Beringin Village for the last five years from 2018-2022, where in 2022, there was a relatively low decline in rice productivity from the previous year. This problem shows that there are major challenges faced by rice farmers in Tanjung Beringin Village in terms of climate change, resource availability, and agricultural practices that have been carried out, so that rice farmers in Tanjung Beringin Village apply survival strategies so that rice productivity increases. Thus this study aims to analyze the survival strategy for rice farmers in productivity in Tanjung Beringin Village, West Tabir District. The theory used is the theory of survival strategies from Hardestry (1977). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used the interactive method of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of rice farmers in Tanjung Beringin Village in maintaining productivity implements strategies: 1) Technology adaptation with the use of superior rice varieties and water management technology in the form of making small ponds or intermittent irrigation. 2) Socio-economic capacity building through strengthening cooperation between farmers, diversification of farming businesses, and utilization of local labor, 3) Environmental risk management strategies by using organic fertilizers, and conservative soil management.

Abstract

This qualitative study explains how Artificial Intelligence technology, specifically chatbots and recommendation systems, impact customer engagement and loyalty on online shopping sites in Indonesia, particularly Shopee. Based on in-depth interviews with 25 users, this study examines customer experiences, attitudes, and behaviors. Chatbots have been shown to provide valuable functional engagement by providing quick and efficient answers to simple questions, such as order status and product details. However, their inability to handle complex issues and lack of human interaction mean that users still prefer to interact with humans for more complex issues. On the other hand, AI-powered recommendation systems are highly effective at triggering behavioral and affective engagement. Such one-to-one product recommendations not only impact purchasing decisions and product discovery but also provide the customer with a feeling of being "understood" by the platform, positively affecting customer loyalty. Altogether, the integration of the two technologies enables Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives through its effectiveness and personalization, resulting in greater customer loyalty levels.

Abstract

Lawson is a popular minimarket offering ready-to-eat food and beverages, making it a frequent destination for customers in the Jatinangor area. Due to the high volume of visits, the efficiency of its service system plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the performance of the queueing system at Lawson Jatinangor using a descriptive quantitative approach based on direct observation of customer arrival and service times. The collected data were processed using the POM-QM software through the waiting line module. The results show that the queueing system operates with high efficiency, characterized by a short average waiting time, a low number of customers in the queue, and a low cashier utilization rate. The high probability of the system being idle indicates underutilized service capacity. The study concludes that while Lawson’s current service system is responsive, there is still potential to improve operational efficiency by adjusting the number of active cashiers during peak hours

Abstract

This study aims to map the evolution of scientific literature on consumer behaviour in the digital era through a bibliometric approach. Analyses were conducted using VOSviewer software to identify conceptual structures, keyword trends, and thematic clusters in the research. The visualisation results showed four main clusters: (1) consumer interaction and digital platforms, (2) consumer behaviour technology and analytics, (3) marketing strategies and customer engagement, and (4) consumption ethics and sustainability. Findings indicate that consumer behaviour is influenced multidimensionally by developments in digital technology, changing social values, and ethical awareness. This study emphasises the importance of integrating analytics technologies with human-centred approaches, algorithm transparency, and authentic brand narratives to build trust and sustainability. Future research is recommended to explore the intersection of digital technology and sustainability values, including the context of the metaverse, virtual reality and circular economy.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of financial technology (fintech) has significantly disrupted the traditional banking sector by introducing innovative services and business models that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and promote financial inclusion. However, these benefits also bring emerging operational risks, such as cybersecurity threats, data privacy concerns, and regulatory compliance challenges. This systematic literature review synthesizes findings from 13 peer-reviewed journal articles published in the last five years, selected through a rigorous PRISMA-based methodology. The analysis identifies key themes, including the transformative role of technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data analytics; the reconfiguration of risk management frameworks; and the evolving relationship between digital innovation and operational resilience. The results indicate that while fintech adoption offers substantial opportunities for competitiveness and customer engagement, it also necessitates proactive governance, robust cybersecurity measures, and continuous workforce upskilling. The discussion emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts among regulators, financial institutions, and technology providers to develop adaptive strategies that can mitigate risks in an evolving digital landscape. By addressing both the opportunities and vulnerabilities presented by fintech disruption, this review enhances our understanding of its implications for operational risk in banking and provides directions for future research.
