Abstract

This study aims to ascertain, at least in part: 1) The impact of inflation on the development of the national economy 2) The performance of sharia stocks and the expansion of the national economy 3) The impact of sukuk on the development of the national economy, as well as the impact of sharia mutual funds on the same, which are the third and fourth impacts 5) Correlation between the development of the national economy in 2017-2023 through inflation, sharia mutual funds, sukuk, and stocks. Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and other reliable sources of information provided the population used in the study. To sort the sample based on criteria set as independent variables, the monthly data source is used once a year. Data sources include time series data published for 2017-2023, which is considered secondary data. The analysis of the data is double linear, this research strategy uses a quantitative-associative methodology. It can be concluded that inflation has a significant adverse impact on the development of the national economy (sig. 0.0001 < 0.05), indicating that increasing inflation causes economic decline, in line with Simanungkalit's (2020) research. Sharia stocks and sukuk show a positive and significant impact on the national economy, with a value of sig. 0.0021 and 0.0019 (< 0.05), respectively, which means that an increase in the instrument will increase economic growth, according to research by Radjak & Kartika (2020) and Ardi (2018).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work/family conflict that is allegedly mediated by job satisfaction on employee retention. The data used in this study is data obtained from a questionnaire survey distributed in several type-A hospitals in DKI Jakarta. The smartPLS software is used to analyze the data. The research uses surveys obtained from structured questionnaires. The research was carried out cross-sectionally and data were taken from the staff of type A hospitals in Jakarta. The limitations of this study/implications of this study are that this study contributes to the theory by specifically analyzing the relationship between compensation and work/family conflict in a complex health service environment, one of the limitations of this study is the adoption of cross-sectional design; Future studies can be improved by using a variety of power gathering sources. The practical implication of this study is that this study highlights the magnitude of the influence of compensation and work/family conflict that is allegedly mediated by job satisfaction on employee retention. It can be concluded that compensation has a positive effect on job satisfaction, and work-family (W/F) conflict hurts job satisfaction, both of which have been proven to be true. In addition, W/F conflict has also been proven to have a negative influence on employee retention.

Abstract

PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk (PTKS) is a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in the production of steel and related services. The MRO Procurement Department is a procurement function to process MRO Material purchasing at PTKS. The main problem currently faced is the lead time for the MRO material procurement process which takes a long time, the reason is that procurement is often conducted by spot method and repeatedly for the same material. Too long lead times pose a risk to the smooth production process due to the unavailability of MRO materials when needed. Referring to the MRO Procurement Department's KPI, >85% of the number of POs (Purchase Orders) issued must have a lead time of <41 days, however, based on the actual historical data for 2022, the PO lead time achievement for the MRO material procurement process does not meet the target. Department's KPI, >85% of the number of PO’s (Purchase Orders) issued must have a lead time of <41 days, however, based on the actual historical data for 2022, the PO lead time achievement for the MRO material procurement process does not reach the target. An alternative solution used to speed up procurement lead times is implementing a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and/or Consignment Contract for MRO routine/consumable material types. The results obtained are that the long and complicated MRO material procurement process for the same type of material can be eliminated, which means that with the improvements made, the MRO Procurement Department can implement a more efficient procurement process.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an unprecedented economic crisis, causing millions of people to face job losses, business closures, and financial hardship. To prevent impacts on vulnerable populations, it is essential to have a strong social safety net in the face of these difficulties. The purpose of this study is to examine the potential of zakat, the obligation of Islam to redistribute wealth, as an innovative social safety net, based on the policies of Umar bin Khattab, the second Islamic Caliph. By exploring Umar's visionary approach to zakat distribution and its relevance in contemporary times, this study examines how zakat can be used as an effective mechanism to alleviate the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for those most affected. This research uses a qualitative research approach By integrating insights from contemporary case studies and stakeholder consultations, this research proposes a comprehensive framework for implementing a robust zakat distribution system that is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This emphasizes the importance of transparent governance, accountability mechanisms, and the involvement of Islamic financial institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community-based organizations in the zakat management process. Ultimately, this study offers an interesting case for reviving the spirit of Umar bin Khattab's zakat policy, showing how this ancient Islamic practice can serve as a powerful tool to promote financial inclusion, foster economic resilience, and support sustainable development in the face of modern crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
