Abstract

Business continuity is greatly influenced by the menu, especially in the culinary industry. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) account for 64.1 million units or around 99% of all businesses in Indonesia. For many years, MSME has been using menu analyses to keep its menu optimized. However, this is not enough since 50% of MSMEs are failing in their first 5 years due to poor decision-making as a result of a lack of knowledge. Based on that problem, there is a necessity for menu analysis and tools to assist in decision-making, also called Business Intelligence. The method used consists of three stages: data collection, business intelligence design, as well as analysis and results. The BI design focuses on menu engineering using the K-Means algorithm to divide menu items into four unique clusters according to Kasavana-Smith's menu engineering concept. After validating its findings with the Davies-Boudlin Index eval_uation, it concludes that a four-cluster solution is most optimal among other value-cluster. This study aims to assist business owners in making better decisions, and it may be used as a reference for business owners by providing suggestions based on the menu review analysis.

Abstract

This article aims to review various studies on the immense digital divide between rural and urban schools, specifically on classroom technologies in English language learning. We synthesize 26 from 2016-2023 discussing some external and internal issues regarding the differences between rural and urban schools’ classroom technologies in English language learning, including (a) Integration of Information and Communication of Technology (ICT) in English language learning in rural and urban school areas (b) Digital divide between the use of technologies in rural and urban school area, (c) External and internal factors (d) challenges. The majority of researchers in the study above used qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies to find the result of the study through experiments, observations, and interviews. These recent studies have shown the relevant findings and results implemented in English language learning.

Abstract

This study was quantitative. The purpose of this project was to demonstrate how PjBL could help students overcome obstacles and improve their report-writing abilities for the XI grade of SMAN 2 Rangkasbitung. Twenty-five learners were the study’s subject. The research study used tests and observation procedures as its instruments. The research was done in three following steps: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Based on the result of the post-test, students writing report text ability showed an improvement. It was proven by the pre-test mean; the result of the mean was 67.00 while the student’s post-test mean was 78.00. To conclude, the student’s writing ability of the eleventh grade SMA N 2 Rangkasbitung presents a contrast difference before and after the treatment. Overall. It’s because most of the students are not familiar enough with the general structure of report text, hence they are unable to write a good report text. To recommend, the teacher can use PjBL as one of another approaches.

Abstract

The Church is called to be a sign, an instrument, and an embodiment of God's love and justice for the world. One of the church's important vocations is to serve the vulnerable and marginalized, including those with disabilities. The Church needs to reflect on God's heart and mission that is full of mercy, equality, and justice for all without exception. This article will explore how the church can live out this divine calling by actively involving congregational members who have disabilities in ecclesiastical life and ministry. So far, church service is still in the concept of charitable diaconia rather than diaconia of community initiative development or also transformative diaconia. The research method used to solve this problem is qualitative. The expected outcome of this study is to ensure the full involvement and participation of everyone with disabilities in church service, as well as an appreciation for their dignity and uniqueness.

Abstract

Efforts to prevent corruption in the form of improving the quality of public service transparency are one of the most crucial things to be done in Indonesia. (KPK, 2023). This is carried out through the Corruption Prevention Network (Jaga) program by the KPK which aims to encourage transparency in public services and public participation in corruption prevention. Unfortunately, the program has not run well based on the assessment of respondents in the Jaga user survey because it has not reached all areas prone to corruption and the complaint resolution rate is low. This study aims to eval_uate the Jaga program and assess the suitability of the Jaga program with the Fraud Risk Management (FRM) framework. This study concludes that in general, the Jaga program is in line with the FRM framework but needs to be improved in terms of documentation of the Jaga concept, the implementation of comprehensive and periodic corruption risk assessments, the development of specific preventive controls based on the intervening public service sector, the improvement of the mechanism for handling complaints of indications of corruption, and the implementation of periodic monitoring of FRM implementation.

Abstract

In the current global era, the development of technology and information is very rapid, so it is very easy to get information/news from the internet. Because of the ease of getting this information, there is a lot of circulating fake news (hoaxes), the news is not filtered so anyone can spread news that is not clear in content. This can lower a person's credibility in the professional world, cause division, threaten physical and mental health, and can also result in material losses. Based on this, to stop the spread of hoaxes is to detect them as early as possible and block them. This detection can use deep learning methods which are also one of the architectures of transformers, namely a combination of BERTopic which is used to find important words from the news narrative, then the words are combined into the narrative and classified using Indo Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformer (IndoBERT). For experiments, the author uses a dataset taken from the kaggle.com website entitled Indonesia False News (HOAX) dataset. This study uses a learning rate of 1e-5, a batch size of 16 and using 5 epochs so that the f1-Score results are 92% for validation data and 91% for testing data.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities often receive discriminatory treatment, due to their physical and/or mental limitations. The Criminal Procedure Code regulates that people with disabilities can give statements without being under oath and these provisions have reduced the rights of persons with disabilities to obtain their justice rights. The Sexual Violence Crime Law regulates where the statements of witnesses and/or victims of people with disabilities can be under oath. The approach method used in this research is a normative juridical approach that is based on formal regulations, as well as secondary data obtained from library materials in the form of scientific writings and other written sources. This research will illustrate the importance and the implication of the testimony of witnesses and/or victims with disabilities having the same legal force as the statements of witnesses and/or victims without disabilities where the testimony must be followed by the implementation of a personal assessment.

Abstract

Technology has changed people's habits, including the way they buy things. Thrifting can be a way for fashion lovers or fashionistas to learn about trends so that they can find very varied and unexpected clothing models. In the implementation of thrifting, there are currently many platforms that can be used online. The most commonly used online platforms are Instagram, TikTok, shopee, and many other e-commerce. This article aims to discuss the mechanism of online thrifting through the Instagram application and to examine law enforcement against the practice of Thrifting through the Instagram application. The result of this research is that the impact of the online thrifting mechanism using the Instagram application hurts security in customs supervision and threatens local industries. The practice of thrifting carried out online utilizes loopholes in supervision and regulation so that many business actors can still sell imported used goods illegally. To address this issue, cooperative action is needed between the government, social media platforms, and the public. The government needs to strengthen regulations and improve oversight of online buying and selling activities, including working with platforms like Instagram to identify and crack down on unlawful accounts.
