Abstract

This study examines the role of smallholder palm oil plantations in the economic development of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia, a region pivotal to the nation’s palm oil history yet under-researched. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the research analyzes secondary data (2019–2023) from the Central Statistics Agency and employs Location Quotient (LQ), Growth Ratio Model, and Klassen Typology to evaluate palm oil’s sectoral dominance, growth, and regional positioning. Findings reveal that palm oil is a leading commodity (LQ > 1), with production exceeding local demand and strong growth potential (positive Growth Ratio values). However, labor absorption remains low (LQ < 1), indicating a need for workforce-focused policies. The Klassen Typology classifies the sector as "advanced and rapidly growing," contributing significantly to regional GDP. The study’s novelty lies in its integrated analytical framework and focus on Aceh Tamiang’s unique challenges. Implications suggest enhancing labor opportunities through skill development, diversifying value chains (e.g., biofuel), and adopting sustainable certification (RSPO). This research provides actionable insights for policymakers to optimize palm oil’s economic benefits while addressing labor and sustainability gaps.

Abstract

In the construction industry, service effectiveness is greatly influenced by the implementation of project management information systems, the quality of human resources (HR), and employee performance. PT XYZ faces various challenges in project management, such as delays, incompatibility of planning with realization, and lack of an integrated information system to support fast and accurate decision-making. This study aims to analyze the influence of project management information system, human resource quality, and employee performance on the effectiveness of construction services at PT XYZ. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through a questionnaire involving 86 respondents from various divisions within the company. Data analysis was carried out using the path analysis method to identify direct and indirect relationships between independent variables and bound variables. The results of the study show that the project management information system has a significant effect on employee performance and the effectiveness of construction services. In addition, good quality of human resources contributes to improving the effectiveness of construction services through improving employee performance. The implication of this study is that construction companies need to adopt web-based information systems to improve efficiency in project management. In addition, improving the quality of human resources through employee training and competency development is an important factor in achieving optimal construction service effectiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing oil palm production in Pauhranap Village, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 45 farmers and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that fertilizer use and the number of seedlings have a significant positive effect on oil palm production, while land area does not show a significant impact. Pesticide use also contributes positively to production but to a lesser extent. Based on these findings, recommendations include the adoption of precision fertilization techniques, ideal planting density management, and the use of environmentally friendly bio-pesticides. Additionally, local governments should enhance extension programs and promote modern agricultural technology adoption. This study provides insights for policymakers, farmers, and academics to improve oil palm productivity sustainably.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of understanding and applying steadfastness of faith as expressed in QS Ali Imran verses 102-104 within contemporary Muslim life, bridging classical exegesis with modern realities. Given the pressures of globalization, cultural shifts, and technological changes, strengthening spiritual resilience is urgently needed to maintain social cohesion and personal faith. Prior research has explored aspects of faith, prayer, and cultural integration but lacks a comprehensive thematic approach that connects these teachings to current challenges. This study’s novelty lies in synthesizing classical and modern hermeneutics to provide a holistic framework emphasizing patience, sincerity, and reliance on God, making the Qur’anic message practically relevant today. Using thematic interpretation, the research aims to deepen understanding of faith’s role in fostering resilience and unity. The findings offer valuable guidance for Muslims, educators, and scholars, supporting spiritual steadfastness and social solidarity amidst modern trials, thereby contributing meaningfully to Islamic scholarship and community well-being.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a key skill for academic success and facing global challenges. As the importance of English literacy increases, students need effective strategies to understand different types of texts. This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension through PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review) strategy in class 12 Ap 1 SMK YPLP PGRI 1 Makassar. The PQ4R strategy is an elaboration technique that helps students understand and remember information from reading texts. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles, including planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the PQ4R strategy significantly improved students' reading comprehension in descriptive and narrative texts. The average students' reading comprehension score increased from 49% in the initial test to 57% in the first cycle, and reached 78% in the second cycle for descriptive text. Meanwhile, students' comprehension of narrative text increased from 51% in the initial test to 68% in the first cycle, and reached 79% in the second cycle. In addition, the PQ4R strategy also increased students' participation and motivation in learning English reading skills. Thus, the PQ4R strategy can be used as an alternative in teaching English reading at vocational level to help students understand texts more effectively and improve their reading skills.

Abstract

Financial institutions are entities that aim to provide financial facilities to the public whose basic purpose is to raise funds and channel them into loans or credit, because financial institutions need legal certainty, then the Fiduciary Guarantee is present. This study aims to determine the legal protection obtained by debtors and creditors in the forced takeover of Fiduciary Guarantee Objects for bad credit financing and to understand the judge's consideration in realizing legal protection and justice in Decision Number 36/Pdt.G.S/2023/PN Pdg. The research method used in this research uses normative legal research methods which are studied using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results of the research and analysis obtained in the first study are that the agreement made by the debtor and creditor will create an obligation that must be fulfilled. If one of the parties is unable to fulfill it, it will be declared a default. The definition of default has been explained in 1243 KUHPer and is again discussed in the Fiduciary Guarantee Law. However, in the Law there is a vague understanding of default and the power of execution of the Fiduciary Guarantee Object. Because, the Fiduciary Guarantee Object can only be executed if there is an act of default and the act must be contained in the agreement. Thus, if the Fiduciary Guarantee Object is executed without explaining the understanding of default and executorial power in the agreement, then the execution will be classified as an act of forced takeover. The second research result is that PT Maybank is prosecuted and punished for the forced takeover of the Fiduciary Guarantee Object and unlawful acts against the Guarantee Object belonging to Yurneli Darti and Dwiki Maulana due to bad credit financing. Where, the consideration of the Panel of Judges is based on the Constitutional Court Decision Number 18 / PUU-XVII / 2019 which indirectly weakens the creditor's right to execute the Fiduciary Guarantee Object.

Abstract

The evolving landscape of education demands innovative teaching practices, with Guru Penggerak playing a pivotal role in implementing differentiated learning strategies and fostering students’ social-emotional competencies, particularly in Integrated Social Studies. This study aims to explore how Guru Penggerak contributes to creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments that respond to students' diverse characteristics while supporting their emotional and interpersonal development. A qualitative research design was employed, using document analysis from academic journals, official reports, and relevant literature to identify key practices, enabling factors, and barriers encountered in the field. The findings reveal that the success of differentiated instruction is largely influenced by the teacher's ability to recognize and respond to varied learning styles. Approximately 70% of students reported increased motivation when instructional strategies aligned with their individual preferences. Additionally, structured efforts to build social-emotional competencies resulted in enhanced student well-being, classroom harmony, and increased engagement. These findings highlight the importance of empowering teachers through continuous professional development to strengthen their pedagogical and socio-emotional facilitation skills. The study provides valuable insights for educational stakeholders to support Guru Penggerak programs and reinforce the integration of differentiated learning and emotional intelligence in curriculum implementation.

Abstract

The rapid development of medical aesthetic services that is not matched by the creation of governing regulations has become one of the most important issues in the field of aesthetic medicine, namely competency issues related to authority because there are still gray areas regarding the authority of general practitioners in aesthetic practice. This research aims to analyze the authority of general practitioners in aesthetic practice and legal protection for general practitioners in aesthetic practice. The research methodology used in writing this thesis is normative juridical. This approach uses a statue approach, conceptual approach, and comparative approach. The authority and competence of general practitioners in aesthetic services are limited to primary care, non-invasive, minimally invasive procedures and are only allowed to perform medical procedures in accordance with what has been obtained during the education process, and are advised to conduct additional training and make referrals to specialists if not their authority and competence. Legal protection for general practitioners in aesthetic medicine services, general practitioners must apply professional standards and standard operating procedures in carrying out aesthetic medical services is widely regulated in laws and regulations.
