Abstract

The culinary industry in Indonesia continues to grow, including in the city of Semarang, which faces intense competition between business actors. Understanding the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions is important for the sustainability of the culinary business. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality, brand image, and consumer confidence on purchasing decisions at Pocong Pancong Pleburan Semarang. This study uses a quantitative method with an exploratory approach. Respondents in this study were consumers who had made purchases at Pocong Pancong, which were selected using purposive sampling method. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with partial, simultaneous, and coefficient of determination tests through statistical software. The results showed that product quality, brand image, and consumer confidence have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, both individually and as a whole. Of the three factors, consumer confidence has the most dominant influence on purchasing decisions, followed by product quality and brand image. The coefficient of determination shows that the three variables explain most of the variation in purchasing decisions, while other factors still need further research.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the parking fee policy on public roads in Kudus city and to identify the factors inhibiting its successful execution. The study uses a qualitative research approach and applies Merilee S. Grindle’s theory, which focuses on two indicators: policy content and the context of implementation. Data were collected through interviews with key stakeholders, including local government officials, parking attendants, and the public. The findings reveal that the policy’s implementation is facing significant challenges, primarily due to the persistence of illegal parking practices and the involvement of unauthorized parking attendants in the city. These issues have undermined the intended outcomes of the parking fee policy, preventing it from achieving its full potential in regulating traffic and generating revenue for public services. The study also highlights factors such as inadequate enforcement mechanisms, insufficient public awareness, and limited coordination between local authorities and enforcement agencies. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the local government strengthen law enforcement, improve public education on the benefits of the policy, and increase collaboration with stakeholders to ensure more effective implementation of the parking fee policy. The research contributes to the understanding of urban policy challenges in managing public resources and offers practical insights for local governments seeking to implement similar policies in urban areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of principles and ethics in social media management based on PERMENPANRB No. 83 of 2012 on the Instagram accounts of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in the Semarang City Government. It also evaluates content strategies to enhance public engagement and build trust. This qualitative study observed 32 official Instagram accounts of OPD, utilizing content analysis, interviews, and engagement rate (ER) measurements with HypeAuditor tools. The results show that most OPD accounts have low ER, although some accounts achieved better performance through interactive and relevant content. Key challenges include limited human resources, lack of training for social media administrators, and a dominance of routine activity reporting without participatory communication strategies. Additionally, overlapping roles between content administrators and Public Information and Documentation Officers (PPID), coupled with a paternalistic leadership style within OPD, further contribute to the low level of public engagement. This study recommends optimizing social media management strategies through capacity building for account administrators, implementing two-way communication approaches based on data analytics, and establishing digital communication policies that promote flexibility and innovation. These strategies can enable government social media to function more effectively as a platform for transparency, interaction, and collaboration with the public, while sustainably building public trust.

Abstract

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is a state institution that has the main task of eradicating corruption in Indonesia. Since 2003 the Institute has been established as an independent institution to fight corruption despite facing various internal and external challenges. The performance of the KPK can be seen from several main aspects, including the number of cases handled, the effectiveness of investigations and investigations, and prevention efforts carried out through education and socialization to the community. In addition, the success of the KPK is also measured by the extent to which this institution can maintain its independence in the face of political and social pressure. However, the KPK's performance is not free from controversy, especially in terms of internal policies, supervision of public officials, and relations with other state institutions. Evaluation of KPK performance requires a comprehensive analysis of factors that support and hinder its effectiveness, including regulatory changes, human resources, and technology implementation. On the other hand, the role of the KPK in strengthening the legal system and encouraging an anti-corruption culture in Indonesia remains a hope for the public to create clean, transparent, and accountable governance. The KPK's performance continues to grow with internal reforms and employee capacity building through training and results-based learning. Nevertheless, the challenges in eradicating corruption are still large, and the KPK must continue to adapt to existing social, political, and economic dynamics in order to achieve its goals to the maximum. This study aims to see how the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) performs in eradicating corruption in Indonesia. Through secondary data analysis and interviews with KPK employees, this study identifies various challenges faced by the KPK and the achievements that have been obtained. The results of the study show that although the KPK has succeeded in uncovering major corruption cases, political challenges and limited human resources are still the main obstacles in its performance. This research also provides recommendations to increase the effectiveness of the KPK in facing existing challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the waiting time for BPJS outpatient services at FMC Bogor Hospital from October to December 2024. Employing a quantitative approach, data collection was conducted through direct observation, interviews with hospital staff, and documentation of patient waiting times from registration to the receipt of medical services. The findings indicate that the average waiting time for BPJS outpatients at FMC Bogor Hospital is 45 minutes, which exceeds the standard set by BPJS Kesehatan, namely 30 minutes. Several factors contribute to this prolonged waiting period, including high patient volumes, limited availability of medical personnel, and inefficiencies in administrative procedures. These conditions not only affect operational performance but also influence patient satisfaction. Based on the analysis, this study recommends improvements in patient flow management, increasing the number of medical staff, and implementing information technology systems to streamline administrative processes. These efforts are expected to optimize service efficiency and enhance the quality of healthcare delivery, particularly for BPJS participants relying on timely and accessible medical treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that influence employee turnover and to explore effective strategies to control it. Employee turnover, which refers to the permanent resignation of employees either voluntarily or involuntarily, can significantly disrupt organizational operations and hinder goal achievement, especially when involving competent and high-performing staff. A descriptive analysis method was employed, with data collected through a literature review from academic books, journal articles, and research reports related to employee turnover. The findings reveal that key factors contributing to turnover include weak organizational culture, low job security, limited career advancement, insufficient recognition and benefits, lack of work flexibility, and poor work-life balance. If not managed properly, these factors can lead to increased dissatisfaction and voluntary resignation. The study highlights that organizations must proactively implement comprehensive retention strategies, such as competitive compensation, transparent career development paths, supportive leadership, and flexible work arrangements. The implications of this study suggest that by addressing these areas, organizations can reduce turnover rates, enhance employee satisfaction, and foster long-term organizational success and stability.

Abstract

The MBKM Kesmas by Design program bridges theoretical knowledge and practical OSH implementation at PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk., an aviation maintenance facility with high-risk operations. Objectives: This study aims to (1) identify hazards in scrap area grinding/manual handling, (2) assess risks via HIRADC analysis, and (3) propose targeted controls. Field observations, worker interviews, and risk evaluations were conducted, aligned with the hierarchy of control (elimination to PPE). The study identified 15 grinding hazards (e.g., sparks, vibration) and 6 manual handling risks (e.g., overload injuries), with high-risk activities (e.g., severed hands, back injuries) requiring engineering/administrative interventions. Post-control, residual risks were reduced to low/moderate levels. The program demonstrates how academic-industry collaboration can enhance OSH practices, urging adoption of digital hazard monitoring and standardized documentation. Findings are scalable to high-risk industries globally.
