Abstract

The formulation of variable problems and focus in research often makes mistakes for researchers of scientific papers. The purpose of this research is to see research techniques and understanding related to formulating problems scientifically, variables and research focuses in a research. The approach in this study uses a literature study approach, data collection techniques that are carried out using documentation from various books and scientific articles that are relevant to the theme raised. In a research, the main main thing of thought and the essential thing is the problem. Research problems that have been identified and limited in order to obtain problems that are worthy of research must still be formulated in order to provide direction for the researcher. A good problem formulation must be able to include and show all variables and the relationship of one variable to another that is to be studied. The source of research problems can be obtained from variables related to problems that are often faced by humans. A problem is a description of the gap between theory and practice, between rules and practice, or between expectations and reality. Problems arise due to challenges, doubts about phenomena, ambiguities, obstacles or gaps. The focus of research is a series of form of problem structure that is described as the center or subject of discussion in a research topic. The focus of this research is expected so that the research has the right focus, so that it is able to collect data and analyze data in accordance with the research objectives.

Abstract

In today’s society, ethical behavior is increasingly being practiced based on what is permitted or prohibited, rather than on intrinsic values of good and bad. This ethical decline is also observed in corporate environments, where some Christian leaders fail to reflect the character of Christ in their leadership. Such leadership shortcomings are particularly concerning as non-Christian employees often observe and assess the integrity of Christian leaders, who are expected to embody moral and spiritual values. This study aims to explore the role of Christian ethics in shaping effective and spiritually grounded leadership in corporate settings. Using a qualitative research method, the study conducts an in-depth literature analysis of sources related to Christian ethics, leadership principles, and biblical teachings. The findings highlight the importance of the leader-shepherd model, where a Christian leader serves with the heart of a shepherd—caring for employees with love, patience, and sacrifice. This model fosters a spiritually nurturing environment that enhances trust, productivity, and ethical workplace culture. The research implies that integrating Christian ethics into leadership not only strengthens the moral integrity of leaders but also serves as a powerful witness to others in the organization. The study contributes to the discourse on faith-based leadership by offering a biblically grounded perspective on ethical leadership practices in the modern corporate world.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and brand image on customer loyalty with corporate reputation as a mediating variable at Starbucks Indonesia. The food and beverage industry, particularly the coffee shop business, faces significant challenges in maintaining customer loyalty amidst increasingly intense competition in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era and the Middle East conflict. Starbucks Indonesia, as one of the leading international coffee shop chains, needs to implement adaptive marketing strategies to maintain market position and customer loyalty. This research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Starbucks customers in the Jakarta area, with samples selected using purposive sampling. The main variables in this study include service quality (responsiveness, reliability, empathy), brand image, corporate reputation, and customer loyalty. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method to evaluate direct and indirect relationships among these variables. The results of the study indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect on corporate reputation. Similarly, brand image also has a positive and significant influence on corporate reputation. Corporate reputation, in turn, positively contributes to customer loyalty. However, there is a direct negative relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, indicating that customer loyalty is not solely determined by service quality but also by corporate reputation as a mediating factor. Additionally, brand image has both direct and indirect positive effects on customer loyalty through corporate reputation

Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy in Indonesia, driven by rapid economic growth, necessitates a comprehensive evaluation of the country’s electrical energy security across four critical aspects: availability, accessibility, acceptability, and affordability. Despite significant expansion in power generation capacity, with coal-fired plants still dominating the energy mix, environmental concerns regarding emissions pose major challenges to sustainability. This study aims to analyze Indonesia’s electrical energy security by quantitatively assessing 20 key indicators from 2008 to 2023 and projecting trends to 2030 and 2045. Employing data normalization and a rhombus area graphical model, the research integrates multi-dimensional data to provide a holistic security index. Results reveal improvements in availability, accessibility, and affordability over time, but acceptability declines due to rising greenhouse gas emissions, underscoring the environmental trade-offs of fossil fuel reliance. The findings highlight the urgent need for policy and technological interventions such as expanding renewable energy, implementing Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies, and promoting electrification of industrial and transport sectors. This study offers crucial insights for policymakers and stakeholders to balance energy growth with environmental sustainability, guiding Indonesia towards a secure and cleaner energy future.

Abstract

Corporate communication plays a vital role in shaping organizational image and attracting talent, with digital platforms increasingly used in recruitment. Curriculum Vitae (CVs) and portfolios serve as crucial communication tools reflecting professional identity, yet CVs often fail to convey personality or in-depth expertise. This study aims to analyze how the integration of CVs and portfolios can increase applicant competitiveness in job selection by examining the perceptions of users (employers) and HR, through the lens of Goffman's Symbolic Communication Theory and DeVito's Interpersonal Communication Theory. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with employees, users, and HR involved in the selection process, supplemented by analysis of CV and portfolio documents. A well-structured CV attracts initial HR attention, while an informative, narrative portfolio provides concrete evidence of skills, especially for roles requiring visual proof of work. Both act as communication symbols reflecting an individual's values and competencies, with interview communication effectiveness influenced by adaptability and storytelling. This research provides insights for companies and HR to improve recruitment effectiveness and for applicants to optimize digital CV and portfolio integration, highlighting the importance of balancing professionalism with authenticity.

Abstract

Banjarnegara’s culinary center, a hub for MSME growth, faces parking inefficiencies due to inadequate planning, risking visitor discomfort and revenue loss. Despite regional infrastructure investments, parking capacity remains unstudied for future scalability. This research analyzes current parking capacity, evaluates user satisfaction, and designs an optimized layout to address projected demand. Field observations (17–23 February 2025) tracked vehicle volume, accumulation, and duration, while surveys (325 respondents) assessed safety/satisfaction. Data were analyzed using SRP metrics, SPSS validity/reliability tests, and AutoCAD simulations for parking patterns. The existing 18-SRP capacity was overwhelmed (peak: 28 vehicles, index: 150%). A 90° angled layout increased capacity to 22 SRPs. Surveys confirmed validity (r-calculated > r-table) and reliability (α=0.936), with 60% of respondents citing inadequate space. Projections show capacity deficits by 2028. Urgent adoption of the 90° pattern and tech-based solutions (e.g., sensors) is recommended to align with Banjarnegara’s e-parking policies and support sustainable tourism growth.
