Abstract

The creation of this article is a collaboration between lecturers and students in carrying out the teaching and learning process at the Global Glow Indonesia College (STTGGI) Jakarta. Lecturers are in Jakarta, while students live in the USA. This article discusses the relevance and application of Christian apologetics in contemporary contexts, focusing on the presuppositional approach taken by John M. Frame. Apologetics, as a discipline that defends and justifies the Christian faith, is often confronted with modern intellectual and cultural challenges. Frame offers a unique framework, one that rejects autonomous neutrality and instead asserts the supremacy of divine revelation as the basis for all knowledge. The presuppositional approach argues that a person's basic assumptions, or "presuppositions," fundamentally shape how they understand and evaluate truth claims. For Frame, God's revealed truth in the Bible is a key presupposition that must be recognized before any rational discussion can proceed meaningfully. This article will explore how Frame's views provide a solid foundation for responding to criticism of the Christian faith, including questions about the existence of God, evil, science, and morality. By highlighting the limitations of autonomous rationalism and the need for a transcendent starting point, Frame invites apologists not only to defend the faith, but also to show that the Christian worldview is the only coherent framework that can adequately explain reality. This study uses a qualitative method, analyzing Frame's key works and their application in current apologetic discourse, to identify practical implications for churches and individuals in the face of contemporary challenges to Christian belief. This article aims to present a comprehensive understanding of Framean apologetics as a vital tool for the vindication of the Christian faith in the 21st century, emphasizing the need for dependence on God and His revelation as the foundation for all intellectual endeavors.

Abstract

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a peripheral nerve disease caused by compression of the median nerve in the carpal canal, where the canal is limited by the carpal bone and transverse ligament. Carpal tunnel syndrome arises when the median nerve is compressed within the channel of the wrist. Symptoms caused by CTS can lead to functional impairment of the hand, while most human work involves using the hands, resulting in disruption of daily activities. Therefore, managing CTS patients—one of which is through physiotherapy treatment—is important. Providing physiotherapy interventions using Infrared aims to improve blood circulation, reduce pain, and increase muscle relaxation; Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) aims to reduce pain, increase muscle strength, and improve hand function. This scientific paper is a case study, presenting patient cases and collecting data through the physiotherapy process. The modalities administered are Infrared, TENS, and Nerve Tendon Gliding Exercise. After physiotherapy was performed four times, the results showed a decrease in pain, a decrease in paraesthesia/tingling, an increase in the range of joint motion, an increase in muscle strength, and an improvement in functional activity ability as measured by the WHDI index. Physiotherapy management with Infrared, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and Exercise modalities performed over four therapy sessions in cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Dextra can reduce pain and paraesthesia/tingling, increase the range of joint motion, enhance muscle strength, and improve functional activity as indicated by the WHDI index.

Abstract

Usability and user experience are crucial aspects in designing and evaluating digital systems, as both directly affect user satisfaction, efficiency, and engagement. However, there often exists a gap between users' perceptions of the system’s usability and their actual behavior when using it. This research explores the potential of such gaps by analyzing user perceptions (measured through the USE questionnaire) and actual behavior data (collected from Microsoft Clarity heatmaps). A quantitative approach and visual observation involving 115 questionnaire respondents and 333 recorded user interaction sessions through Microsoft Clarity are employed. The study results indicate a general alignment between users’ positive views and behavioral engagement, such as high usability scores correlating with active duration on the Berita page. However, discrepancies were also identified on the Diskusi pages, where high satisfaction scores did not align with user behaviors like Quick Backs and Dead Clicks, indicating barriers in usability. These findings underscore the importance of integrating subjective and objective data: the USE questionnaire captures views on ease of use, satisfaction, and benefits, while heatmaps reveal behavioral barriers that may be hidden. In conclusion, both approaches complement each other, and when used together, they produce a more comprehensive and implementable user experience evaluation.

Abstract

Social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have significantly transformed how consumers interact with products and make purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on purchase decisions, with trust and consumer behavior serving as mediating variables. A quantitative, explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected from 164 respondents using purposive sampling and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The results show that social media usage has a significant effect on consumer behavior and directly influences purchase decisions. Meanwhile, e-WOM does not have a direct effect on purchase decisions but contributes significantly through the mediating roles of trust and consumer behavior. Trust plays an essential role in linking e-WOM to consumer behavioral responses. Among all the tested relationships, consumer behavior emerged as the strongest predictor of purchase decisions. These findings emphasize the importance of digital marketing strategies that foster trust and strengthen behavioral engagement. The study also reinforces the theoretical relevance of the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) and Uses and Gratification (U&G) models in the context of social commerce. Future studies are encouraged to explore additional mediating factors such as emotional engagement or platform-specific characteristics to improve the model’s predictive strength.

Abstract

Indonesia's position as the world's largest nickel producer, holding 42% of global reserves, has intensified mining activities across Sulawesi. However, recent findings by the Audit Board (BPK) in 2024 revealed systemic exploitation of regulatory loopholes, where non-metallic mineral permits (IUP) for rocks like peridotite and limestone are being misused to extract high-value nickel in Central and Southeast Sulawesi. This practice stems from three critical factors: (1) significantly easier permitting processes for rock commodities (14-day approval) versus metallic minerals (22-day auction system), (2) inadequate verification mechanisms for mineral content in rock concessions, and (3) weak coordination between central and regional oversight bodies. This study examines the multidimensional impacts of such permit misuse through qualitative policy analysis, incorporating geological assessments of nickel-bearing rock formations, comparative evaluation of licensing procedures, and economic modeling of state revenue losses. Findings demonstrate that 5%-10% unauthorized nickel extraction under rock permits could incur state losses of IDR 22.8-45.5 trillion annually, while simultaneously causing environmental degradation and undermining legitimate mining operations. The research proposes tiered policy interventions including real-time monitoring through the MOMI/MODI systems, mandatory nickel content verification for rock permits, and revised commodity classification frameworks. These recommendations aim to reconcile Indonesia's mineral governance with its dual objectives of resource nationalism and sustainable development, particularly crucial as the nation advances its nickel down streaming agenda.
