Abstract

Job stress is an important factor that can affect employee performance in a company, especially in the hospitality industry which faces high pressure and consistent service demands. This study aims to examine the effect of job stress on employee performance at Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 110 respondents with a total sampling method, namely saturated samples. Data collection was carried out by distributing digital questionnaires through Google Forms, which used a 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis techniques used are classical assumption test, simple linear regression, t-test and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that job stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. The job stress variable is negative with a beta value of -0.496 An increase in job stress (X) will result in a decrease in employee performance.

Abstract

Indonesia has great potential to develop renewable energy, especially through Micro Hydro Power Plants (MHP) that utilize river flow. The Papua region, including Jayawijaya Regency, has significant water resources potential but has not been optimally utilized to meet local energy needs. This study aims to evaluate the technical feasibility of building an MHP in Uwe River, Jayawijaya Regency, with a capacity of 2 x 750 kW as an effort to increase the electrification ratio in Papua Mountains. The research uses a quantitative approach with field survey methods and primary data collection, such as water discharge measurements and interviews with relevant parties. The data were analyzed using the FJ Mock method for water discharge estimation and hydraulic power calculation to assess the technical feasibility of MHP development. The results showed that Uwe River has a potential hydraulic power of 2063.965 kW with a capacity factor of 88%, which is able to support the operation of two turbines with a capacity of 733.76 kW each. The conclusion of this study shows that the construction of an MHP in Sungai Uwe is technically feasible and has great potential to increase the electrification ratio, support local economic development, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels in remote areas. The implication of these results is the importance of investment and policy support in the development of renewable energy projects in Papua to achieve national electrification targets.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and the tendency to cheat academically among accounting students in Indonesia. The research variables used consisted of independent variables: Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Dependent variables: Academic cheating tendency in Accounting Students. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with data collected through questionnaires distributed through Snowball sampling using WhatsApp messages to active students of the S1 Accounting study program at several universities in Indonesia (the islands of Sumatra and Java). The total respondents of this study were 224 students who could be processed, totaling 210 students. The convenience sampling technique is applied to sample selection. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that emotional intelligence and religiosity had a significant negative effect on academic cheating tendencies. Gender is proven to strengthen the negative effect of emotional intelligence and religiosity on cheating tendencies. In conclusion, increasing emotional intelligence and religiosity, as well as the role of gender, can be important factors in reducing cheating tendencies among accounting students. These findings are significant for the development of accounting education curriculum and policies to improve the integrity and professional ethics of future accountants.

Abstract

This research is based on the cyanide coffee case involving Jessica Wongso. The case became a hot topic of conversation in Indonesia and attracted widespread attention due to its complexity and intense media attention. The popularity and controversy of this case resurfaced because Netflix made a documentary titled Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso, which explains the debates related to the verdict of Jessica, who was considered a convict with several irregularities. The presence of the film led to various assumptions from experts and the public, so there was social criticism related to the justice system in the Jessica Wongso case. This sparked the interest of researchers in conducting this research. To support this research, the theory considered appropriate to analyze this documentary is Teun A Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis. Critical discourse analysis describes how discussions or discourses about an event influence and affect existing social institutions and structures. To obtain field data, researchers feel it is appropriate to use qualitative research with a critical paradigm that analyzes text structure, social cognition, and social context. The results showed that there is a discourse of social criticism in the documentary film "Ice Cold:  Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso" against the judicial system in Indonesia, which is conveyed through dialog and cut scenes from the film.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of financial literacy, attitudes towards money, and financial pressures on the financial well-being of non-profit workers in Indonesia, an issue that is relevant given the high social activity but lack of attention to the financial well-being of workers, especially with the majority of them being low-income. Using the purposive sampling method on 108 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, the study's findings showed that financial literacy had a significant positive influence on financial well-being. In contrast, attitudes towards money had no significant effect. On the other hand, financial stress significantly negatively influences the financial well-being of workers of nonprofit organizations. These results emphasize the importance of efforts to improve financial literacy and pay attention to financial pressures in improving the financial well-being of non-profit workers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Maintaining product quality can reduce the risk of defective products. The survival of a company is heavily reliant on product quality. In order to improve performance and reduce defects in the product process, PT. Electric Vehicle Trimotorindo employs the Taguchi approach in conjunction with the QC system. The goal of this research is to determine the product process of PT. Trimotorindo Electric Vehicle, identify the highest rejection rate, evaluate process capability, and propose improvements using the Kaizen system. This study uses the Taguchi system to optimize the product process of PT. Trimotorindo Electric Vehicles. After collecting data from the taguchi system, it can be concluded that the highest position of blights in a conversion process is in the electric current string.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of group guidance using simulation game techniques to improve the emotional intelligence of students in Class X-RPL at SMKN 10 Semarang. This study uses an experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. Based on the results of research conducted on class X - RPL students at SMKN 10 Semarang, it was concluded that group guidance services using simulation game techniques affected increasing emotional intelligence. This is proven by the results of the experimental group questionnaire, which obtained an increase in the mean or average score from the pretest of 57.6 to the posttest of 63.11, in other words, an increase of 9.5%. Furthermore, the T-test results obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001. This means that providing treatment with group guidance and simulation game techniques has a significant influence on increasing the emotional intelligence of class X-RPL students at SMKN 10 Semarang.

Abstract

This study explores corporate criminal liability in the context of Indonesia’s legal system, focusing on the complexities arising from corporate crime enforcement. Corporate crime, involving illegal activities by business entities for profit, requires a distinct legal approach since corporations as legal subjects cannot be held accountable in the same way as individuals. The research reviews various laws, including the Limited Liability Company Law and the Anti-Corruption Law, examining the challenges in applying these regulations, particularly in proving corporate intent and responsibility. Using a normative legal research method, the study analyzes legal documents and case studies to understand how Indonesia handles corporate crime. The findings reveal significant enforcement difficulties due to overlapping legal frameworks, gaps in corporate oversight, and insufficient legal mechanisms. International comparisons, such as the U.S. doctrine of "vicarious liability," highlight the potential for stronger corporate governance in Indonesia. The study concludes that harmonizing regulations and strengthening law enforcement are critical to improving corporate criminal liability in Indonesia, with recommendations for better compliance systems and enhanced international cooperation.
