Abstract

This research aims to determine and examine the effect of Capital Intensity, Financial Distress, Growth Opportunity, and Tax Incentives on Accounting Prudence with Litigation Risk as a Moderating Variable. This research uses secondary data collected from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), stock information from the Yahoo Finance website, and the official websites of sector-related companies. Furthermore, this study is quantitative and employs multiple linear regression analysis, with the research population comprising the Transportation and Logistics Sector and the Technology Sector for the period 2020-2022. Based on the hypothesis testing results, the study shows that the Capital Intensity variable positively affects Accounting Prudence. Additionally, financial distress has a negative effect on accounting Prudence. Meanwhile, Growth Opportunities and Tax Incentives do not affect Accounting Prudence. Furthermore, the Litigation Risk variable cannot moderate the relationship between Capital Intensity, Financial Distress, Growth Opportunity, and Tax Incentives with Accounting Prudence.

Abstract

The rapid development of the hospitality industry has increased competition among hotels to provide the best services and facilities to attract customers. This study aims to determine hotel quality using the Tsukamoto method of fuzzy logic. The research measures the quality of hotel facilities, room classes, and prices, all of which contribute to visitor comfort. Data were collected from 10 hotels and processed using the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method to categorize hotel quality as either high or low. The analysis showed that variables such as hotel facilities and room class significantly influence the overall quality rating. The results indicated that hotels with complete facilities and higher room classes tend to score higher in quality. This research demonstrates that the Tsukamoto method provides an effective way to assess hotel quality based on multiple variables.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the tragedy experienced by Mata Hari, the main character in Paulo Coelho’s The Spy. Mata Hari struggles to pursue her dreams of independence and luxury, only to face a tragic end. This qualitative research draws from the novel The Spy as the primary source, supported by secondary sources including relevant books and literary analysis. The study focuses on the significant moments in Mata Hari’s life, particularly her marriage to Rudolf MacLeod, which led her to live in Indonesia. Her hopes for a better life were shattered as her husband mistreated her, turning her days in Java into a nightmare. After losing her son, poisoned by his nanny, Mata Hari decided to leave her family and moved to Paris to pursue a life of fame as an exotic dancer. Her fame, however, came with a price, as she was falsely accused of being a spy. Her final days were spent in Saint Lazare prison in Paris before she was executed. The findings of this study demonstrate that the tragic consequences of Mata Hari’s life, shaped by her divorce, fame, and relationships, ultimately led to her demise. Her pursuit of freedom and luxury sealed her tragic fate.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of financial literacy, attitudes towards money, and financial pressures on the financial well-being of non-profit workers in Indonesia, an issue that is relevant given the high social activity but lack of attention to workers' financial well-being, especially with the majority being low-income. Using the purposive sampling method on 108 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, the study revealed that financial literacy had a significant positive influence on financial well-being, while attitudes towards money had no significant effect. Conversely, financial stress had a significant negative influence on the financial well-being of non-profit workers. These findings underline the need for enhancing financial literacy and addressing financial pressures to improve workers' financial well-being. The study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering insights into the financial behavior of non-profit workers and highlighting the importance of targeted financial education programs for this sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of instructing derivational and inflectional morphemes at SMP Al Islah Surabaya to improve students' comprehension and its application to the English language. It aims to enhance students' vocabulary acquisition, reading comprehension, and writing skills by employing an effective curriculum and specific instructional methodologies. The present study employs a mixed-methods methodology, integrating quantitative language proficiency evaluations with qualitative observations of classroom interactions and student remarks. Initial results suggest that providing direct guidance on derivational and inflectional morphemes substantially impacts students' linguistic proficiency and apply grammatical principles with greater effectiveness. It emphasizes the significance of including morphology education in the language learning curriculum. It offers practical suggestions for teachers to cultivate a more profound morphology awareness among SMP Al Islah students and improve English language competency.

Abstract

Frozen shoulder, commonly called adhesive capsulitis, is a painful condition in the shoulder and results in a limited range of motion of the joint (LGS). Frozen shoulder is a condition where shoulder movement becomes limited. Frozen shoulder has varying degrees of severity, ranging from mild to severe pain, and the degree of limitation to movement of the glenohumeral joint. To reduce pain and limited joint movement, which will later increase the ability for functional activities, the role and modalities of physiotherapy can be used in the form of InfraRed, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and Active Exercise. This scientific paper is a case study that raises patient cases and collects data through physiotherapy. InfraRed, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and Active Exercise are the modalities provided. After receiving physiotherapy treatment 3 times, the results of the shoulder already appear symmetrical; there is an increase in the Joint Scope of Motion (LGS) of the shoulder dextra, a decrease in pain in the shoulder dextra, the loss of spasm of the anterior and medial deltoid muscles, and the ability of the patient's functional activities using the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). Conclusion: Physiotherapy treatment of Frozen Shoulder Dextra using InfraRed, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and Active Exercise modalities has been proven to eliminate spasms, increase joint range of motion (LGS), reduce pain, increase muscle strength and increase functional activity capabilities using Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI).

Abstract

Propaganda is a powerful tool for shaping public perception, especially in the context of fascism. This study analyzes the application of Freudian theory to fascist propaganda in Indonesia, particularly during the New Order era under Soeharto’s regime. Fascism in Indonesia began in 1933 with the rise of organizations like the Nederlandsche Indische Fascisten Organisatie (NIFO) and the Indonesian Fascist Party (PFI). During the New Order, propaganda was used to manipulate public opinion, suppress opposition, and maintain power. This research employs a qualitative literature review method, analyzing historical records, media sources, and academic writings. The study specifically examines how Freudian concepts, such as unconscious fears and mass psychology, were used to influence public perceptions, particularly in relation to the G30S/PKI case. The findings reveal that the regime exploited public fears of communism, using propaganda to justify repression and control. This research highlights the importance of understanding the psychological underpinnings of propaganda and suggests that further studies could explore the broader implications of these techniques in different political contexts.

Abstract

Stroke is a neurological deficit that occurs suddenly caused by a vascular disorder in the form of a lack of oxygen supply to the brain, resulting in damage or necrosis of brain tissue. Problems that arise in stroke sufferers include weakness on their side of the body, which causes balance disturbances until independence is reduced so that they will need the help of others. Therefore, the provision of infrared and exercise therapy interventions aims to increase muscle strength, improve body balance and restore functional activity ability. This study uses a case study approach, raises patient cases and collects data through the Physiotherapy process. The modalities provided are infrared and exercise therapy in the form of resisted exercise, CIMT, and bridging exercise. After 4 times of Physiotherapy, there was an increase in muscle strength. Still, there was no improvement in balance based on the Berg Balance Scale, and there was no increase in functional activity based on CAHAI and Barthel Index. Management of physiotherapy with infrared and exercise therapy carried out in the post-stroke hemiparese Sinistra et causa NonHemorrhagic for 4 times of therapy can increase muscle strength. Still, there has been no improvement in functional activity abilityDA.
