Abstract

The purpose of this research is to address the need for fun and student-centered education, which is essential in the 21st century. Active learners are crucial for enhancing student engagement and positively impacting their lives. The specific focus is on improving the initial reading skills of grade III students at SDN Caringin II, which have been observed to be low. The research utilizes Classroom Action Research (PTK) following the model developed by Kemmis and Taggart, implemented in two cycles with two actions each. Data collection involves observation and the use of a rubric to assess reading skills. The results demonstrate that the use of picture word cards effectively enhances students' initial reading abilities, with 83% of students meeting the criteria for initial reading proficiency across various indicators. These indicators encompass aspects such as letter recognition, vowel and consonant combinations, and reading comprehension of sentences and paragraphs. Consequently, the research recommends the incorporation of picture word cards as an alternative learning method to cultivate and strengthen students' initial reading skills.

Abstract

A company is a for-profit organization, that is, an organization that has the goal of obtaining high profits. To achieve this goal, companies need to analyze the environment, both internal and external. The micro-external environment is usually referred to as the industrial environment. This is because, in this micro external environment, the company's business activities occur directly where there is a strong relationship between competitors, suppliers, and consumers themselves so that their impact and influence on each other can be seen. Indofood explained that rising geopolitical tensions, high inflation rates, and rising prices of various commodities created markets. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. A qualitative approach is used to analyze the external environment using annual reports at PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk deals with data sourced from observations about external factors, written data in the form of documents, and information provided. This research will discuss the efforts made by Indofood to overcome this problem. Suppliers and customers are important factors in this. Both had a positive influence on sales growth of 11.56% with an operating profit margin of 17.8% despite an increase in sales prices to balance the increase in raw materials.

Abstract

In recent years, the topic of sustainability has been on the rise. As it continues to become an area of concern and discussion, industries are also nudged, and even forced, to go in the same direction in order to keep up with the competition. This has also been complemented with how people are now more interested in sustainable brands, in which being sustainable has now become a trend as more and more companies decide to go green, and even a priority. Amongst them is the fashion industry; H&M was first accused of greenwashing in August of 2019 by The Norwegian Consumer Authority as it defines its Conscious Collection as “the shortcut to more sustainable shopping”. This research would like to investigate if greenwashing; described as making false claims about a brand’s product or service to attract more customers; affects the purchase decision of customers. This research employs a quantitative methodology with non-probability sampling by contacting H&M Indonesia Twitter followers. The results of this research revealed that the greenwashing done by H&M through its Conscious Collection green marketing campaign did not play a significant role in the purchase decision of H&M Indonesia customers due to Indonesians’ environmental literacy. It is hoped that the implications of this research help to advise big corporations as well as small aspiring businesses that being sustainable should be done correctly and genuinely – from communicating green promotional messages to executing a green marketing campaign.

Abstract

The application of good corporate governance principles is vital in all companies, particularly in the banking sector. This study examines the impact of good corporate governance on job satisfaction and employee performance, as well as the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. Public trust in state-owned banks is higher than that of private banks, making BNI an interesting case study. BNI, as the only state-owned bank operating globally, is known for its good corporate governance practices, as evidenced by its high CGPI score. This study focuses on permanent employees of BNI's Regional Office 15 in East Jatinegara, Jakarta. A survey was conducted among 125 respondents using SEM PLS. The results show that good corporate governance principles positively affect job satisfaction and employee performance, but job satisfaction does not directly impact employee performance. This research contributes to managerial implications, suggesting that companies can redesign positions, promotions, salaries, or rewards to enhance job satisfaction among employees. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights for managers to improve employee satisfaction and performance by implementing good corporate governance practices.
