Abstract

The development of information technology (IT) is currently growing rapidly, many from the lower middle class to businessmen and even entrepreneurs need internet network access. An internet network is a form of communication between computer networks around the world, wherewith the internet each computer located at a distance can communicate with each other, exchange information and resources. Currently, many networks are built using different network devices, one of which is a router. A router is a device for sending data packets between networks through a process called routing. In the market, many companies produce routers, one of which is Mikrotik with its product in the form of Mikrotik RouterOS which has been widely used to handle existing networks. So far, Mikrotik configuration has been a problem for some people because of ignorance in managing the network used so that many errors and fraud occur on the network used, even though products from Mikrotik have configuration programs based on GUI (Graphical User Interface) but still require long and confusing steps even if only to do configurations such as internet gateways.

Abstract

North Sumatra is the center of oil palm plantations in Indonesia. Palm oil is one of the leading commodities in North Sumatra province. Based on BPPS, North Sumatra has a very large land area of 440,000 ha and production yields of 7,000,000 tons. This study focuses on grouping the area of plantations and oil palm production in the districts/cities of North Sumatra province using the K-Medoids clustering method. In this grouping, several forms of the number of clusters are used to obtain a more optimal grouping. Each form of the number of clusters in this grouping is evaluated based on the DBI value. The smallest DBI value is the best form of the number of clusters in grouping plant area and oil palm production using K-Medoids. The results of this study indicate that the form of the number of clusters 2 is the best form of the number of clusters with a DBI value of 0.099.Keywords: Data mining, Clustering, K-Medoids, Davies Bouldin Index. Abstract

Abstract

Small uncrewed aircraft have become one of the increasingly popular technological innovations and are widely used in various fields, including civil aviation. However, using drones also carries potential risks to flight safety and airport security, mainly when operating in the Flight Operational Control Area (KKOP) around the airport. Therefore, it is important to conduct effective socialization regarding the Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SPUKTA) regulations for airport security personnel to increase understanding of using small uncrewed aircraft operations for the public and workers. This community service research results show that the socialization of SPUKTA regulations to airport security personnel in the KKOP area at Silangit International Airport is done through training and counseling. Socialization includes an understanding of drone classification, flight restrictions in the KKOP area, licensing procedures, and emergency actions in dealing with drone operational disruptions, as well as detection and barrier technology to prevent the entry of unauthorized drones. Collaboration between aviation authorities, airport management, and security personnel is needed to continuously update and improve the socialization of SPUKTA regulations to maintain the safety and security of flight operations at Silangit International Airport.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly developing, especially in the world of aviation. Therefore, aviation vocational institutions provide sources of knowledge and technology that can be implemented in several ways, including by carrying out community service activities related to aviation technology. Currently, the aerospace insight possessed by the community is still limited, especially for students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. This PkM activity aims to provide education to the community as basic capital to increase aerospace insight needed by the job market in the aviation sector. The method used in this activity is counselling by providing material about technology in the world of aviation. The results of this activity show that students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa experienced an increase in knowledge about technology in the world of aviation, as evidenced by the percentage of participant posttests of 85% for increased scores and 0% for decreased scores. From this counselling, it can be concluded that participants can gain new knowledge about aviation technology from the implementation of this activity.
