Abstract

This study departs from the issues of teacher skills gaps in Elementary School of Laboratorium Satya Wacana in arranging the instrument of attitudes assessment. This gap problems would be solved by school action research which aims to determine the steps of in-house training that can improve teachers’ skills in preparing attitudes instrument. The subjects of this study involved 15 primary school teachers of Elementary School of Laboratorium Satya Wacana. The research model that used was Stringer Model which consist of 3 aspects, namely : Look, Think, and Act. Instruments in this study were observation sheet and booklet. The data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result showed: 1) The steps of in-house training that can improve teachers’ skills are planning, implementing, and evaluating in house training. On the steps of planning, activities of the formation of a committee, determine the trainer, participants, material and schedule. During the implementation phase carried out activities ranging from pretest, delivery and discussion materials and posttest. At this stage of the evaluation carried out assessments throughout the in house training activities; 2) In-house training can enhance teachers’ skills in arranging attitudes assessments during the learning process. The contribution of this research theoretically maintains the arranging steps of Likert assessment scale and practically improve teachers’ skills in arranging attitude assessment in teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to see the shape of the model of impact school coaching management. This study is Research and Development (R & D). Data collection use interviewed, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion. The development phase is carried out through: (1) preliminary study, (2) arrangement model, (3) validation by expert from academic and also practitioner, (4) revision of product design and (5) proper model of coaching is tested. Data analysis conducted during in the field with the steps of data reduction, data display, and image/verification conclusions. The results showed that running coaching is difficult to finish. In addition, there is no structured and systematic planning, causing the implementation of coaching run by chance, depend on the demand from the school. There is no evaluation program for the coaching itself. The product of this study is coaching model Adiwiyata school impact base on participation that completed. Based on the feasibility result test conducted by experts and practitioners, the model is considered feasible to be tested by practitioners.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the low activeness and student learning outcomes in the subject of Civics Education (Civics) of the fourth grade in the fourth semester class of government, there are 14 out of 22 students whose value does not reach Minimal Completeness Criteria (KKM) (≥ 70). The aims of this study is to determine the improvement of student activeness and civics education learning outcomes through the Take and Give Methods Learning fourth graders SDN 1 Buntu Kejajar District Wonosobo Regency. The type of this research is a classroom action research which is conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 3 stages: 1) Action planning; 2) Implementation of action and Observation; 3) Reflection. Technique of collecting data in the form of test and non test technique, with research instrument in the form of item and observation sheet equipped with rubric measurement of student activeness. The analysis technique used is descriptive comparative technique that is analysis technique that compare the result of pre cycle learning, cycle I, and cycle II. This is indicated by the improvement in student learning outcomes, namely cycle I has increased learning outcomes from the average prasiklus 59.81 to 68.04 (77.27%), the level of student activeness using the likert scale is 70.3 (active). Cycle II has increased learning outcomes from the average cycle I 68,04 to 75,19 (86,36%), student activeness level using likert scale is 78,3 (very active). From this study can be concluded by applying the Take and Give model can significantly improve the learning outcomes and the activity of students of Civics subjects in fourth grade students.Keywords: Student Activeness, Civic Learning Outcomes, Take and Give Learning Methods Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar PKn. Terdapat 14 dari 22 siswa yang nilai PKn tidak mencapai KKM ( ≥ 70). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar PKn melalui metode pembelajaran Take and Give siswa kelas IV semester II SDN 1 Buntu Kecamatan Kejajar Kabupaten Wonosobo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang prosedur penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu 1) Perencanaan tindakan; 2) Pelaksanaan tindakan dan Observasi; 3) Refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik tes dan non tes, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa butir soal dan lembar observasi yang dilengkapi dengan rubrik pengukuran keaktifan siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif komparatif yaitu teknik analisis yang membandingkan hasil belajar pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yaitu siklus I mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dari rata-rata pra siklus 59,81 menjadi 68,04 (77,27%), tingkat keaktifan siswa menggunakan skala likert adalah 70,3 (aktif). Siklus II mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dari rata-rata siklus I 68,04 menjadi 75,19 (86,36%), tingkat keaktifan siswa menggunakan skala likert adalah 78,3 (sangat aktif). Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Take and Give secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa mata pelajaran PKn pada siswa kelas IV.Kata Kunci: Keaktifan Siswa, Hasil Belajar PKn, Metode Pembelajaran Take and Give

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the instructional, institutional, and behavioral dimensions of the In-House Training (IHT) program at the SD Muhammadiyah (Plus) Salatiga Academic Year 2013/2014. This is an evaluative study with Three Dimensional Cube Model. Data collection techniques used interviews, questionnaires, and document studies. Collected data then analyzed descriptively, ordinal data were analyzed using Three Box Method. Validation of data using technique and/or source triangulation. The results showed: (1) In the instructional dimension including organization, content/material, methodology, facilities, and cost included in good category, although there is little improvement in adjusting method with program objectives; (2) In the institutional dimension that includes speakers, trainees, administrator/committees, education specialists, families, and communities are included in either category, although there is still need for improvement in terms of needs analysis in terms of the needs of teachers; (3) In the behavioral dimension that is the goal of the IHT program and is divided into the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains almost all have been achieved well, although there is one goal in the psychomotor realm that has not been achieved well because one goal is not a priority to be achieved in time of three years. Recommendations for program sustainability, programs can be continued with improvements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the relationship between watching the violence shown on television with aggressive behavior of junior high school students in Salatiga. The hypothesis put forward is that there is a significant relationship between watching television violence shows with aggressive behavior of junior high school students in Salatiga. The study was conducted in one of the junior high schools in Salatiga. Sampling technique in this research using stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire used was a questionnaire of aggressive behavior of teenagers and questionnaires watching the violence on television. The analytical method used is Kendalls tau correlation technique. Based on the data analysis obtained correlation value 0.811 with a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant relationship between watching the violence shown on television and the aggressive behavior of junior high school students in Salatiga. The higher the students watch the violence on television, the higher the aggressive behavior. Thus the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe guidance and counseling management in Senior High School and Vocational School in Salatiga. The type of this study was a quantitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were 69 school counselor of Senior High and Vocational School in Salatiga. Data was collected by using questionnaire, and was analyzed in quantitative term by calculating the presentage of the range from 5 categories, namely: very good, good, average, poor, and very poor. The result of the study showed that, guidance and counseling program planning was categorized average with 65,22%, guidance and counseling program organizing was categorized good with 57,97%, guidance and counseling program implementation was categorized very good with 49,28%, and guidance and counseling program evaluation was categorized average with 73,91%. The result became the basis for providing a recommendation for school counselor in increasing the guidance and counseling program planning and evaluation.

Abstract

This study was designed to evaluate academic supervision program at PAUD Tunas Kasih, Magelang, using Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) evaluation model. The results of the study were expected to provide inputs to decision-makers for subsequent programs. The respondents of this descriptive-qualitative research included the school principal, six teachers, and a school managerial staff. Data collection was done through interviews, observation and document studies. Triangulation of data sources and methods validated the data, subsequently analysed through data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. Findings indicated the context evaluation revealed a need for academic supervision based on the condition and the need for teacher’s quality improvement. The input evaluation described the well-planned program—using different techniques, involving the teachers in their readiness, supported by available budget and infrastructure. The process evaluation reported the implementation of the planned techniques, with some adjustments based on the on-going condition, supported by the teachers’ readiness as well as participation and how they handle the constraints. The product evaluation found out that the academic supervision program had positive impacts and achieved the planned goals. It also discovered teachers’ positive responses and some follow-up plans. Lastly, this study gave recommendations to improve the local supervision programs, inputs to the school management, and ideas for future researches.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar koginitif matematika kelas IV yang merupakan sekolah berprestasi namun memiliki hasil belajar yang masih dirasa kurang memuaskan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cooperative learning. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes formatif, lembar observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pada pelaksanaan tindakan siklus I terjadi perubahan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pada siklus II. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan pembelajaran model cooperative learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif matematika.  Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, Matematika, Cooperative learning.    Abstract: The purpose of this research is to the improve of cognitive learning results of fourth grade mathematics which is the achievement school but have learning result that is still felt less of satisfactory. The type of research which used is Classroom Action Research and implemented as much as 2 cycles. The research learning model used in this research is cooperative learning. Instruments used in this study are formative test sheets, observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. In the implementation of the first cycle, there is a change in the improvement of cognitive learning outcomes after the actions in cycle II. So it can be concluded that learning by cooperative learning model can improve cognitive learning results of mathematics. Keywords: learning results, mathematics, cooperative learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang bermaknanya pembelajaran dan kurang antusiasnya peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, hal ini berdampak terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendiskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan audiovisual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terlampauinya kriteria ketuntasan klasikal yaitu ≥85% pada siklus 2. Ketuntasan klasikal muatan pelajaran IPS pada pra siklus sebesar 60%, siklus I sebesar 83%, dan siklus II sebesar 97%, muatan pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada pra siklus sebesar 69%, siklus I sebesar 80%, dan siklus II sebesar 97%, muatan pelajaran PPKn pada pra siklus sebesar 97% siklus I sebesar 97%, dan siklus II sebesar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, penelitian dinyatakan berhasil.   Abstrak: This research is motivated by the lack of meaningful learning and lack of enthusiasm of students in participating in learning, this has an impact on low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of learning outcomes of students in learning using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) assisted by audiovisual. The method used in this study is classroom action research, which consists of two cycles. The results of the study show that the classical completeness criterion is ≥85% in cycle two. Classical completeness of social studies content in pre cycle 60%, cycle one 83%, and cycle two 97%, Indonesian language content in pre cycle 69%, cycle one 80%, and cycle two 97%, PPKn lesson content in pre cycle 97% cycle one 97%, and cycle two 100%. Based on the results of these research, the researsh is succesfull.

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil belajar merupakan kemampuan yang diperoleh anak setelah melalui kegiatan belajar. Pencapaian hasil belajar memuat ranah kognitif, dan psikomotor. Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang diakui pendidik pada pembelajaran tematik terpadu abad ke-21 dimana pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa (Student Center), dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengkolaborasikan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantuan percobaan. Tujuan penelitian  adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik terpadu siswa kelas V SD, tema 9 subtema 1 dan 2. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 menggunakan model Project Based Learning.   Abstract: Learning outcomes are abilities acquired by children through learning activities. Achiement of learning outcomes contains cognitive, and psychomotor. The Project Based Learning model is a learning model that is recognized by educators in 21st century integrated thematic learning where student-centered learning, in this study, researchers collaborated with the Project Based Learning model assisted by experiments. The purpose of the study was to improve integrated thematic learning of 5th grade elementary school student, theme 9 subtheme 1 dan 2. The type of research used was classroom action research. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 using the Project Based Learning model.
