Abstract

Public Relations or PR is very important in a company, PR bridges communication between the company and the community/clients. One of the main tasks of public relations is to improve the company's brand image with the aim that the public/clients are aware of the position or existence of the company. The author raised this title because public relations have an important role in building and improving the brand image of a company. The purpose of this paper is to determine the role of public relations carried out by Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI) in improving brand image. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive data analysis techniques. The author tried to present a description of a company. This study uses data collection techniques through field observations, interviews with personal assistant directors and digital managers and using LMI documentation. The results showed that public relations at LMI has a role to educate, provide information, and service to the public, provide data transparency and increase sales of the institution. As for the supporting factors in improving the brand image are experienced HR and LMI certified as LAZ. While the inhibiting factor is the absence of a limited public relations department and regional offices that have not been spread throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

In social life, communication is a very important part of interacting with one or two people. Along with the development and advancement of information and communication technology supported by online media, therefore the role of online applications directly or indirectly has influenced every person or individual in self-disclosure and opening up space for interaction. Theories relevant to this research use interpersonal communication theory, CMC theory, and self-disclosure. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study were active Tinder users as many as 4 informants. Based on this research, it can be concluded that in using the Tinder application, each informant has different reasons. Each informant also has a different self-disclosure, for informant 1 it will be open if it has the same match as him. Informants 2 and 3 are not easy to open up to new people, and will open up if they know them longer and the other person opens up first. For the 4th informant, he is a person who is very open to new people.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how the production process of visual content Production House @creativismstudio on Instagram. This research uses POAC management theory and new media. The method used is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were obtained by interviewing the owner of the Production House, conducting direct observations and collecting data in the form of supporting documents. The results of this study are 1) @creativistudio is very instrumental in maintaining and maximizing individual creative abilities to progress and develop and generate benefits for these individuals and clients who have entrusted the services of @creativsmstudio, 2) @creativismstudio really takes advantage of convergence in POAC management at the Production House these, 3) @creativsmstudio also utilizes new media in creating its audio visual production content by converging on the Instagram platform, 4) @creativsmstudio optimizes convergence efforts on other social media such as TikTok

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to the TikTok account @vmuliana on knowledge about the career world for followers. The theory used is the theory of S.O.R (Stimulus, Organism, Response). This theory is related to the message that is conveyed and the response that is raised. The type of research used is quantitative research with descriptive analysis method. By using a questionnaire in data collection. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The population for this study are followers of the TikTok account @vmuliana and the sample taken is 100 respondents. Based on the research that has been done, the researchers conclude that there is a significant influence between TikTok @vmuliana content on career knowledge for followers. Associated with the influence of knowledge about the career world with a trend of influence of 73.1% and has a strong correlation of 0.855 and the coefficient of determination of 0.731.

Abstract

A Movie that deals with social issues in the community open up new knowledge from the storyline line that feeds the movie's researchers and directors, especially as a mass communication medium that can provide a spectacle so easily. One of the movie on social issues was that of transcribing light. Light copyists discuss sexual harassment that often occurs in public domains, particularly in the field of education. The elaborately researched problem is to find the myth that the text producers in the light-prescribing film. Researchers use a descriptive qualitative method of research with the semiotics of Roland Barthes. Further analysis of the data is made by documenting observations of each scene relating to sexual harassment behavior that is linked to the literature that researchers obtain. In this regard, researchers have discovered a myth that wakes up in the array of several carefully studied scenes - the myth of the exploitation of the body in installation art. The behavior of this body exploitation is sexual abuse without physical touch because the perpetrator only uses part of the victim's body as an inspiration for the installation. Thus, it may be desolated to the film that has given the public a new insight into the motives of the now prevalent cases of sexual abuse without.

Abstract

The research focuses on the pattern of Indonesian-Turkish cross-cultural communication and the supporting and inhibiting factors in interpersonal communication on the Platform AnkaranesiaThis research is to find out what patterns and factors are the interest of Indonesian students in learning a Turkish language and culture. This type of research is descriptive qualitative because it studies about social behavior, interpersonal communication on Indonesian students in cross-cultural communication. Using a case study approach because it is identical to researching a process. The process in question is an overview of the process of Indonesian students in learning the Turkish language and culture. Qualitative research can describe in depth and detail through the phenomena that have been selected by the researcher. The analysis technique in this study uses the model of Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. Primary data taken through the process of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Theories used in this research are communication patterns, cross-cultural communication, interpersonal communication, Ankaranesian students' social behavior in communication, and behavioristic theory. The results showed that the pattern of cross-cultural communication in Indonesian students could show development in interacting using the Turkish language and promote good impact in social relations. Then the supporting and inhibiting factors that occur can be resolved because of actions in unifying thoughts, and communication becomes the main key for the Platform Ankaranesia.

Abstract

This research looks at the social codes used in the film Pengabdi Setan 2:Communion. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method approach with John Fiske's semiotic analysis. The results of this research show that the codes are based on the order of reality, the order of representation, and the order of ideology. This study found that there are three patterns of family communication used in the film: The Equality Pattern and The Balanced Split Pattern as well as the monopoly pattern. These patterns are shown through characterizations, images, and visual meanings.

Abstract

Facebook social media has become an important part of people's lives, including for mothers in Indonesia. During this pandemic, a lot of misinformation about Covid-19 is growing through social media Facebook. Facebook is the place where the most hoax news cases are found, especially regarding Covid-19. As the number of misinformation increases, it becomes increasingly problematic to distinguish fake news from accurate news. The quality of information and the lack of knowledge about the Covid-19 virus received is one of the main factors for housewives to determine their attitude to respond to hoax news. Therefore, it is necessary to examine how housewives respond to hoax news about Covid-19 on social media Facebook. Researchers used data collected from all interview documentation that had been conducted on housewives in Dukuh Pakis District who were actively using Facebook social media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings in this study are the existence of cognitive, conative, and affective behavior in housewives in Dukuh Pakis Subdistrict resulting from the effect of mass communication on Facebook social media on hoax news related to Covid-19. Therefore, it can be concluded that social media is able to have an effect in responding to hoax news on Facebook social media.

Abstract

This research is a study that examines the application of a journalistic code of ethics by Jatimnow.com journalists who carry out their journalistic duties in crime news. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data comes from interviews with journalists, observations, and documentation from the online media Jatimnow.com. This study aims to find out how Jatimnow.com journalists apply the journalistic code of ethics to criminal news. Journalists are people whose job is to cover news in the media. Like other professions, journalists have a journalistic code of ethics that serves as a guide and a set of rules that must be applied in carrying out their duties in the field. The existence of a journalistic code of ethics makes news reliable for its truth and quality. Crime news is directly related to crime events that occur daily in society. The existence of extraordinary crimes that make criminals who are included in extraordinary crimes have special treatment, and Child Friendly Reporting Guidelines that journalists must pay attention to. The results of this study indicate that Jatimnow.com journalists have applied a journalistic code of ethics to criminal news. However, it was found that there were differences in the application of Article 2, namely, respecting the experience of the informants in presenting images in every criminal case that occurred. Because a recidivist perpetrator is considered the information must be known to the wider community in order to avoid the crime being repeated.

Abstract

From the many information Instagram accounts in Surabaya, this study takes the object of the Instagram account @aslisuroboyo to see the effectiveness of the @aslisuroboyo account in meeting the needs of the people of Surabaya. The theory used is the theory of Uses and Gratification. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data by interview and observation. The author takes the respondent journalist @aslisuroboyo and some followers on social media Instagram@aslisuroboyo. Based on the research conducted, theresults of thisstudy can be concluded that the Instagramaccount @aslisuroboyo fulfills the information of followers and the people of Surabaya. So it can be said that this research is effective.
