Abstract

The sharp decline in demand for mother-vessel export agency services at PT Bukit Prima Bahari (BPB) Palembang Branch in recent years highlights the need to identify its root causes. Using the 5 Whys technique, this case study analyzes data from semi-structured interviews, port-call observations, and operational documents. The findings point to two key issues: disrupted commercial continuity due to turnover of key personnel, and weak value framing that made BPB’s pricing appear high without explicit service evidence. The study recommends strengthening the value proposition, standardizing “apple-to-apple” price comparisons, and improving commercial governance to enhance document readiness and coordination. These insights support more effective service recovery, price realization, and operational reliability.

Abstract

Weekly maintenance scheduling is an important activity in maintaining the reliability of operating facilities, especially in the Power Plant area in the oil and gas industry sector. This study aims to optimize the maintenance planning and scheduling process by utilizing the text mining approach through Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) modeling to manage and group maintenance data, and integrate it with the Linear Programming (LP) model as the basis for the preparation of an optimal Work Order (WO) Scheduler. The LDA model is used to categorize work based on Fixed Reference Activities (FRA), resulting in a more structured classification of maintenance activities. The output of this category is then an input for the LP model that compiles labor allocation, duration, and work priorities according to the available weekly time limits. Sensitivity analysis was carried out on the parameters of the number of labor, work priority, and length of time horizon with variations of ±10%, ±20%, and ±30%. The results show an increase in the WO completion rate, a reduction in the backlog, and a more accurate understanding of labor utilization. The model has proven to be sensitive to changes in workforce capacity so that human resource management is the dominant factor in the successful implementation of schedulers.

Abstract

The decline in consumer purchasing power in recent years has increased price sensitivity and driven consumers to be more selective in their purchasing decisions, including in essential educational product categories such as notebooks. This situation requires companies to adopt more adaptive marketing strategies, one of which is the multibrand strategy. This study aims to analyze the effect of multibrand strategy on consumer loyalty and examine the moderating role of declining purchasing power in this relationship. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, involving 75 respondents who used notebook products from APP Sinarmas (SIDU, Dodo, and Skola). Data were analyzed using linear regression and moderation analysis. The results reveal that the multibrand strategy has a positive and significant effect on consumer loyalty. Declining purchasing power does not directly affect loyalty; however, it significantly moderates and strengthens the relationship between multibrand strategy and consumer loyalty. These findings highlight the importance of a diversified brand portfolio as an effective retention mechanism during periods of economic pressure. This study offers practical implications for companies in designing adaptive branding strategies and theoretical contributions to the literature on brand portfolio management under fluctuating economic conditions.

Abstract

Low employee trust in organizations is a challenge for Millennials and Generation Z, who currently dominate the workforce. Various reports show that these two generations tend to have lower levels of organizational trust than previous generations, along with increasing expectations regarding the meaning of work, supportive work relationships, transparency, and empathetic leadership styles. However, previous studies have been limited in explaining the psychological mechanisms that link employee engagement to organizational trust in the context of the younger generation in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement on organizational trust with psychological well-being and perceptions of transformational leadership as mediating variables among Millennial and Generation Z employees working in the formal sector. This study uses a quantitative approach with the PLS-SEM method on 207 respondents. The results show that employee engagement does not directly form organizational trust but has a significant effect through psychological well-being and perceptions of transformational leadership, which act as full mediators. These findings indicate that work engagement among the younger generation does not automatically build trust in the organization, but rather works through positive psychological experiences and perceptions of leadership quality. Practically, the results of this study emphasize the importance of managing employee engagement that is oriented towards strengthening psychological well-being and developing transformational leadership in order to build sustainable organizational trust.

Abstract

CV Master Grafix, a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) engaged in product label printing, faces various operational challenges due to the dominance of manual processes in key business activities such as color data management, design approval, raw material procurement, and employee performance evaluation. These inefficiencies lead to service delays and decreased competitiveness in responding to the dynamic demands of B2B customers. This research aims to develop a strategic Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) plan to improve the company's operational efficiency. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method and applies the Ward and Peppard framework to formulate the IS/IT strategy. Data will be collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. Strategic evaluations will be conducted using approaches such as Value Chain, SWOT, Gap Analysis, Critical Success Factors (CSF), and the McFarlan Strategic Grid. Meanwhile, technology initiative priorities will be determined using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method based on the BOCR dimensions (Benefit, Opportunity, Cost, Risk). The outcome of this research is a strategic IS/IT planning document that includes an information technology strategy, an information systems business strategy, and an IS/IT management strategy, along with a prioritized portfolio of applications. This plan is intended to serve as a foundation for developing technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of CV Master Grafix in the B2B printing industry

Abstract

Changing expectations in the Generation Z workforce require organizations to revisit how to design a work system that suits the needs of flexibility, life balance, and work autonomy. Generation Z tends to value flexibility as an important role in choosing and retaining jobs, while traditional work policies are considered less relevant. This study aims to identify the role and effectiveness of Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) on job satisfaction, productivity, and performance of Generation Z employees as well as the type of FWA that best suits the characteristics of Generation Z and what are the drivers for FWA to run effectively. The research uses a qualitative approach through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA guidance and the PICO framework to identify, screen, and synthesize relevant scientific articles. The article is included in the period 2020-2025 and obtained 10 empirical aricelles that meet the inclusion criteria for analysis. The results of the synthesis show that the implementation of FWA, such as flextime, flexplace, remote work, or hybrid, has a positive effect on job satisfaction, life balance, productivity and performance of Generation Z employees. Therefore, FWA is not only a philosophy of flexibility, but also a human resource management strategy that plays a role in improving the motivation, welfare and overall performance of Generation Z employees. This research is limited to a literature review, further research with an empirical approach is needed to verify the findings in more depth.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce in Indonesia continues to drive the increasing need for last-mile logistics services that demand speed, accuracy, and operational transparency. This study aims to formulate an adaptive strategy for PT Tri Adi Bersama (Anteraja) through a SWOT analysis approach that is quantified using IFAS, EFAS, and SPACE Matrices. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a Likert scale questionnaire instrument (1–5) based on 12 SWOT indicators (3 Strengths, 3 Weaknesses, 3 Opportunities, and 3 Threats). A total of 255 respondents participated in this study, consisting of 63 internal respondents and 192 external respondents who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. The results of data processing showed an IFAS score of 0.35, which indicates that Anteraja's internal strengths are more dominant than its weaknesses. Meanwhile, an EFAS score of 0.04 indicates a slightly greater external opportunity than a threat. The combination of these two values places Anteraja's strategic position in Quadrant I (Aggressive) in the SPACE Matrix, which reflects the company's position in a situation that supports growth and expansion. Based on these findings, the recommended adaptive strategy focuses on utilizing internal strengths and external opportunities, such as strengthening service digitization, expanding distribution networks, developing fast services (same-day/instant), and optimizing technology-based services and fulfillment. These findings are expected to be a reference for companies in formulating business strategies that are more responsive to the dynamics of the digital logistics industry.

Abstract

Electronic procurement (e-procurement) has been widely adopted as a public sector reform to improve procurement governance, particularly in developing countries. In Indonesia, e-procurement has been implemented nationally through the Layanan Pengadaan Secara Elektronik (LPSE); however, empirical evidence on its governance impact remains limited. This study examines the effect of e-procurement implementation on procurement governance in Indonesia’s government using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). E-procurement implementation is measured by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, while procurement governance is operationalized as a multidimensional construct encompassing transparency, accountability, efficiency, effectiveness, fairness, competitiveness, monitoring, capacity, and accessibility. Primary data were collected from Indonesian government officials involved in e-procurement implementation and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings show that e-procurement implementation has a positive and significant effect on procurement governance, indicating that higher acceptance of the system contributes to improved governance quality. This study contributes to the literature by integrating technology acceptance theory with public procurement governance and provides empirical evidence from a developing-country context to inform policy and practice.
