Abstract

The revitalization and development of public spaces during periods of social restriction, which later evolved into centers of social interaction in the post-pandemic era, play an important role in accelerating the economic recovery of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that were severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. This study examines the contribution of public space reactivation to MSME economic recovery in the Cipayung District, DKI Jakarta Province. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 100 MSME respondents operating around ten major public spaces in the study area. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS to assess instrument validity and reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.924 indicating high internal consistency. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied to identify priority factors and strategic alternatives for MSME recovery. The results show that the comfort of public spaces is the most influential factor supporting MSME economic recovery. Cleanliness, security, adequate basic facilities, and effective spatial design significantly increase visitor intensity and transaction activity. The second key factor is the diversity of community activities, including bazaars, cultural festivals, sports events, and social programs, which positively influence MSME turnover. Conversely, the number of public spaces has limited impact, highlighting that quality and activity intensity are more decisive than quantity. Respondents identified increased sales turnover, improved MSME competitiveness, and job creation as equally important recovery indicators. Based on AHP analysis, priority strategies include enhancing public space comfort and facilities, expanding community-based activities, strengthening MSME collaboration, improving government support.

Abstract

Indonesia’s coal mining industry remains strategically important for domestic energy security and export competitiveness, making logistics infrastructure a critical determinant of operational performance. As coal production increases due to collaboration with neighboring mines, jetty facilities become potential bottlenecks affecting throughput, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability. This study evaluates the operational and financial performance of three jetty facilities operated by PT XYZ in East Kalimantan to identify the most economically beneficial jetty and assess the feasibility of infrastructure development. The analysis applies an operational cost–benefit approach using operational cash inflows and operating expenditures (OPEX), complemented by operational efficiency indicators such as gross profit margin and net profit margin. Based on comparative results, a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis is conducted for the selected jetty to evaluate a proposed conveyor development project using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period. The findings reveal significant differences in cash-generating capability and operational efficiency among the three jetties, with one facility demonstrating superior economic contribution and stronger financial performance. The DCF results indicate that the proposed conveyor development is financially feasible and capable of improving long-term operational capacity. This study provides a cash-based, facility-level evaluation framework that supports data-driven investment decision-making for jetty development in coal logistics operations.

Abstract

Abstrak. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans is a bacterium that causes aggressive periodontitis. Prevention efforts use antibacterial compounds. The purpose of this study was to compare the antibacterial effectiveness of Ajwa date (Phoenix dactylifera L.) flesh and seed extracts against Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans at concentrations of 70% and 100%. This type of research is an experimental study using a post-test control only design using the disc diffusion technique. The study population was a pure culture of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans that had been cultivated at the Integrated Laboratory of Prima Indonesia University. A total of 36 samples were divided into 6 groups. Antibacterial testing used the disc diffusion method, which measures the diameter of the inhibition zone in millimeters. Data analysis was carried out using Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney. The results showed that the average diameter of the inhibition zone of Ajwa date (Phoenix dactlifera L.) flesh at 70% and 100% concentrations was 8,82 ± 1,02 mm and 10,51 ± 1,28 mm. The date seed group at 70% and 100% concentrations showed an average inhibition zone diameter of 15,61 ± 0,72 mm and 16,84 ± 0,57 mm, and chlorhexidine was 19.65±0.380 mm. DMSO as a negative control showed no inhibition against Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans bacteria. The results of the Kruskal-Wallis test can be stated that there is a significant difference in the diameter of the inhibition zone of all groups in Ajwa date flesh and seeds (p=0.000; p<0.05).

Abstract

The management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Indonesia has become a strategic focus within national rural development policy, particularly since the enactment of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, which emphasizes village autonomy and economic self-sufficiency. Despite this policy support, many BUMDes continue to face significant challenges in governance, accountability, and the implementation of sound accounting practices.  This research aims to map and synthesize academic literature regarding governance, accountability, and accounting practices in Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). The study used a scoping review approach  with reference to the five-stage methodological framework of Arksey and O'Malley (2005). The literature search was carried out through the Scopus database using an advanced search strategy on journal articles published in the 2014–2024 period. From the selection process, 25 articles were obtained that were analyzed in depth. The mapping results show that the discourse on BUMDes is dominated by the theme of hybrid organizational tensions, political attachment in governance, and the gap between expectations and the reality of accountability. Meanwhile, studies that highlight the technical aspects of the implementation of accounting standards and long-term (longitudinal) performance evaluation are still relatively limited. The implications of this study confirm the importance of developing a more integrative and contextual approach to village accounting to bridge social and economic missions. The novelty of this research lies in the presentation of a thematic map of the Scopus-based literature that explicitly synthesizes the intersection between governance, accountability, and accounting practices in a single analytical framework.

Abstract

This research maps the social and organizational dimensions of accounting research through a systematic literature review (SLR) combined with bibliometric analysis. Drawing on 196 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus and published between 2019 and 2024, the study examines how accounting operates as a social practice embedded in power relations, institutional arrangements, governance structures, and professional work. Following PRISMA-based screening procedures, the dataset was analyzed using VOSviewer to identify thematic clusters, keyword co-occurrence patterns, and intellectual structures within the literature. The analysis reveals six dominant research streams: (1) crisis and organizational resilience, (2) public sector governance and control, (3) critical accounting and power relations, (4) institutional logics and sustainability, (5) global standards and translation processes, and (6) professional work and auditing practices. The findings demonstrate a strong shift away from positivist approaches toward sociologically informed perspectives, with critical and institutional theories increasingly shaping accounting scholarship. By synthesizing fragmented debates across these clusters, this study contributes a structured overview of contemporary sociological accounting research and identifies future research agendas to advance theory, context-sensitive inquiry, and methodological pluralism in accounting studies.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Meter Reading feature in the PLN Mobile application on customer satisfaction by employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) integrated with TRUST as a mediating variable. A total of 102 active postpaid customers participated in an online survey using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analysed using PLS-SEM through validity, reliability, discriminant, and bootstrapping tests. The findings reveal that Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) significantly influences both Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Customer Satisfaction (CS), making it the most dominant driver of user experience. PU also demonstrates a significant effect on CS and strongly predicts TRUST, showing that perceived benefits strengthen confidence in system reliability. TRUST significantly contributes to CS and serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between PU and CS. These results extend TAM by confirming the strategic role of TRUST within mandatory public utility services. Practically, the study highlights the importance of enhancing usability, functional benefits, and perceived system integrity to improve customer satisfaction with PLN Mobile.

Abstract

Corruption remains a serious challenge in the public sector, including in Indonesia’s supreme audit institution (BPK), despite existing regulations and oversight mechanisms. This research aims to examine the influence of leadership practices and internal control systems on strengthening integrity systems. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with survey participants, namely internal auditors at the BPK Integrity Enforcement Inspectorate, with a final sample of 32 respondents. The results of the study show that, both partially and simultaneously, leadership practices and internal control systems have a significant effect on the integrity system. The implications of these findings suggest that leadership practices and internal control mechanisms have a direct impact on the formation of a culture of transparency and accountability, oriented toward integrity values. Strong leadership and an effective, integrated internal control system can create a comprehensive governance framework to support organizational integrity. These findings provide practical guidance for public sector institutions in designing leadership development programs and strengthening internal control mechanisms to enhance integrity and prevent corruption.
