Abstract

The application of e-performance-based performance appraisal will help organizations evaluate the performance of their employees effectively and efficiently. High work engagement between employees and their work will make employees maximize their work, so that they will be able to improve organizational performance. An organizational culture that is adhered to by employees will make it easier for the organization to apply the rules and carry out its work program. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of e-performance-based performance appraisal, work engagement, and organizational culture on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable on employees of Doloksanggul Hospital, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The population in this study were 224 hospital employees with a sample of 143 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that e-performance based performance appraisal, work engagement, and organizational culture directly had a positive and significant effect on performance. Furthermore, e-performance-based performance appraisal, work engagement, and organizational culture directly have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between performance appraisal based on e-performance, job involvement and organizational culture on performance.

Abstract

The Indonesian Navy's current unmanned vessel is the first unmanned ship made by the Indonesian Navy's Research and Development Service. This vessel is not optimal, it is necessary to redesign the hull using the model simulation method with the assistance of Maxsurf software. By using this maxsurf software, it will be easier to analyze hydrodynamic performance, one of which is the vessel's resistance. The redesign shows the results that there is a reduction in ship resistance. By redesigning, the hull of the Indonesian Navy's unmanned vessel by using the model simulation method with the assistance of the Maxsurf software in analyzing hydrodynamic performance, we get the resistance value at maximum speed. Meanwhile, the power required by the ship is at maximum speed so that the speed shows an increase in maximum ship speed, thereby fulfilling the operational requirements and producing good maneuverability. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ship after being redesigned can be better.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic maritime country in the world, it should strengthen its ability to secure a very wide territorial waters, in order to ensure the security and safety of shipping in Indonesian jurisdictional. PC 40 ship is a reliable TNI-AL patrol ship with relatively small dimensions and will be easy to operate in archipelagic areas. In general, structural construction on conventional PC 40 ships, along with the times, the Sandwich Plate System material has been found to have characteristics that provide advantages in terms of strength and a simpler structure compared to conventional construction. the construction structure uses conventional aluminum using the Sandwich Plate System material with an aluminum-elastomer-aluminum configuration in the flat plate structure on the main deck of the TNI-AL PC 40 Ship. Analysis based on finite element on main deck construction with load loading. From the simulation results, the maximum stress for aluminum material is 17 MPa using stiffeners, while the construction with sandwich plate material system produces a maximum stress of 15 MPa reducing the use of 15 stiffeners, with maximum deformation for conventional aluminum.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia caused a decline in agricultural production, rising food prices, restrictions on export-import activities, and a decrease in food and non-food consumption. The purpose of this study was to determine the demand for staple food during the pandemic era, to examine household budget allocations and to determine price elasticity and income elasticity. This study uses expenditure data for consumption of the Indonesian population based on the results of the March 2020 Susenas. Data analysis uses the AIDS model. The results of the analysis show that rice is the main staple food with a share of expenditure of 52% in urban areas and 57% in rural areas, followed by chicken meat, eggs, cooking oil, sugar and milk, respectively. Comparison of consumption between before and during the pandemic era shows an increase in consumption for all commodities other than milk and sugar in urban areas, while in rural areas consumption decreases for rice, milk and sugar. The share of staple food expenditure is significantly influenced by prices and income in urban areas, while in rural areas prices and incomes have no significant effect. Both in urban and rural areas, the highest income elasticity is for chicken meat and eggs, while rice, cooking oil and sugar are considered inferior goods. The pandemic era is the right moment for the government to promote local food to accelerate food diversification programs.

Abstract

The specific purpose of this study was to determine the effect of optimal levels of soybean lecithin in sperm extenders on motility and abnormalities of sheep spermatozoa after undergoing the freezing process. This research was conducted experimentally in a laboratory with a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The five treatments tested were soybean lecithin levels in Tris (L) diluent, consisting of: L0 = 0% soybean lecithin + 95% Tris diluent + 5% glycerol; L1 = 1% soy lecithin + 94% Tris diluent + 5% glycerol; L2 = 2% soy lecithin + 93% Tris diluent + 5% glycerol; L3 = 3% soy lecithin + 92% Tris diluent + 5% glycerol; L4 = 4% soy lecithin + 91% Tris diluent + 5% glycerol. The independent variable in this study was the level of soy lecithin in the Tris diluent. The dependent variable is the progressive motility and abnormalities of post-clotting spermatozoa. Soybean lecithin levels had a significantly different effect (P?0.05) on the percentage of progressive motility and spermatozoa abnormalities of post-freezing sheep. The level of 3% soya bean lecithin is the best level in maintaining the quality of post-freezing sheep spermatozoa.

Abstract

White turmeric is known to the public as having various uses in terms of health, such as as a liver protector (hepatoprotector) which functions to destroy toxins that enter the human body, one of which is exposure to copper (CuSO4) Pentahydrate which is widely exposed in everyday life. to determine the protection against liver damage induced by copper by using ethanol extract of white turmeric rhizome (Curcuma Zedoaria) through histopathological examination of the liver of male wistar rats and to determine the best dose of white turmeric rhizome extract (Curcuma Zedoari). This study is categorized as an experimental research conducted following the posttest only control group design. Sampling is done through simple random sampling. After the data was proven to be normally distributed and continued with the ANOVA test and obtained a P value of 0.001 (? 0.05). The mean value of changes in the histological structure of the rat liver P1 0.00/0.00; P2 0.00/0.00; P3(500mg dose) 2.00/1.41; P4(750mg dose) 6.00/0.00; P5 4.44/1.50; P6(1000mg dose) 6.00/0.00. This shows that the highest degree of change in liver function is the P4 treatment group with an average of 6.00 and the lowest is the P6 treatment group with an average of 3.75. Conclusion: These results indicate that the ethanoic extract of white turmeric rhizome has high hepatoprotective activity at a dose of 1000mg.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic state whose territory lies in a cross position between two continents and two oceans. So that Indonesia has the authority to maintain the security of its maritime territory, starting from regulating its shipping lanes to maintaining sovereignty in all of Indonesia's sea areas. Indonesia's threats have been identified as coming from neighboring countries, namely Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and China. Increasing escalation in the South China Sea area, Efforts to support Indonesian territorial security, submarines currently owned must be able to become a deterrent against potential threats both from within and from outside and be able to operate in all Indonesian waters. The hypothesis in this study is if the operational capability of the submarine increases the country's deterrence system. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative using software SPSS 25 and Microsoft Excel 2013 with data analysis techniques using multivariate correlation. The effect of submarine operational capability on the country's deterrence is 86.6% that implies submarine operational capability has strong influence.
