Abstract

Public trust in village governance is crucial for sustainable development, particularly in the management of village funds. However, issues such as lack of transparency and weak supervision in Kampung Yahim, Jayapura Regency, have raised concerns about fund misallocation and eroded community confidence. Addressing these challenges is essential to ensure accountability and foster trust in local governance. Using a quantitative approach, this research employs multiple linear regression analysis on data collected from 96 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Primary data were gathered through a Likert-scale questionnaire, measuring supervisi (X1), transparansi (X2), and community trust (Y). Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 22, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests to validate the regression model. The results of the research indicate that supervisi and transparansi in the management of village funds influence community trust in Yahim Village, Sentani District, Jayapura Regency. Effective supervisi and transparansi in village fund management are critical for building and maintaining community trust. Strengthening these aspects can mitigate misuse of funds and promote greater public engagement in local governance. The research recommends that village authorities enhance accountability mechanisms, such as regular audits and open financial reporting, to reinforce trust. Policymakers should institutionalize participatory monitoring systems to ensure sustainable and transparent fund management. These measures can serve as a model for improving governance in similar rural contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the vendor performance evaluation and segmentation system at PT PLN (Persero) using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Kraljic Matrix approaches. The current vendor performance evaluation system is considered suboptimal in providing holistic, objective, and integrated assessments across business units. Issues such as inconsistent use of subcriteria, subjective assessments, and the absence of vendor segmentation have resulted in inefficiencies in the procurement process. The study was conducted through literature reviews, internal documentation analysis, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with experts in the PLN environment. The proposed evaluation system consists of four main criteria: managerial, technical, administrative & financial, and safety, with a total of 14 subcriteria. Additionally, this research developed an AHP-based vendor evaluation form and designed vendor segmentation into four categories: routine, leverage, critical/bottleneck, and strategic. Simulations conducted on five PLN work units for one vendor showed improvements in consistency, efficiency, and objectivity of assessment, resulting in holistic evaluation outcomes and uniform segmentation. The system provides a foundation for vendor database integration, strengthens procurement governance, and supports risk and value-based decision-making in the procurement process.

Abstract

Rapid organizational transformation at PT PLN (Persero) has had various impacts on employees, especially those who have worked in an area for a long time. Sudden transfers to other areas far from their previous residences have caused many employees to have difficulty adapting. Employees who have built family lives in their home areas feel a loss of stability and comfort, which has an impact on decreasing work enthusiasm. This change also creates a great emotional burden, especially for employees who have to leave their families to carry out duties in new locations. This study can provide important information regarding the conditions of organizational change carried out by PT PLN (Persero) and its impact on turnover intention along with recommendations for improvements that can be taken to improve existing conditions. The recommendations given can be used as considerations in compiling preventive and corrective programs to reduce employee turnover intention. This study uses the structural equation modeling analysis method with the help of the SmartPLS 4.0 program.

Abstract

This study aims to develop machine learning models to predict the 28-day compressive strength of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) based on chemical and physical parameters. The ultra-competitive cement industry requires companies to innovate continuously, but the conventional testing process takes at least 28 days, making product customization inefficient. This research proposes using machine learning techniques to accelerate this process. The predictive parameters include chemical components (C3S, C2S, C4AF, SiO2, etc.) and physical properties (Blaine, Residue, LOI, etc.) of OPC cement. The modeling was performed using random forest, gradient boosting, and artificial neural network algorithms. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and R-squared values. The study used 1,570 valid data points from cement quality testing at PT Semen Gresik. Results show that the random forest method provides the highest coefficient of determination of 0.856 with RMSE of 13.086 kg/cm² and MAE of 10.784 kg/cm². The most significant attributes affecting prediction are CaO, Insol, SiO2, MgO, Al2O3, and SO3. Performance can be further enhanced through hyperparameter tuning using grid search method, achieving a coefficient of determination of 0.976 with RMSE of 6.118 kg/cm² and MAE of 5.198 kg/cm². This research contributes to accelerating cement quality control processes and supports faster product development in the cement industry.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Current Ratio (CR), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) scores influence firm value, as proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), among companies listed in the LQ45 Low Carbon Leaders Index during the 2021–2024 period. The study adopts a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. The sample consists of 10 companies that consistently reported ESG scores and published both sustainability and financial reports over the four-year observation period. The estimation model employed is the Random Effect Model (REM), selected based on Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. The individual influence of each independent variable on firm value is assessed through partial t-tests. The findings indicate that ROE and NPM have a positive and significant effect on firm value, underscoring the importance of profitability in building investor confidence. DER shows a significant negative effect, suggesting that high leverage levels tend to reduce market valuation. Meanwhile, CR and ESG scores exhibit no significant effect on firm value, although ESG scores display a positive directional relationship. This implies that sustainability practices are perceived positively but have yet to become a decisive factor in corporate valuation by the market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Earnings per Share (EPS) on stock returns in healthcare service provider companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. A quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods was employed. The sample consists of seven healthcare companies selected using purposive sampling criteria, including consistent publication of audited annual financial reports and accessible stock return data. Classical assumption tests were conducted to ensure model validity, followed by t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on stock returns. The results show that Return on Assets (ROA) and Earnings per Share (EPS) have a positive and significant impact on stock returns, indicating that asset utilization efficiency and earnings potential per share are key considerations for investors. In contrast, Return on Equity (ROE) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) do not exhibit significant effects, suggesting that capital effectiveness and operational efficiency have not been fully appreciated by the market in this sector. These findings suggest that the Indonesian stock market is not yet fully efficient in the semi-strong form and provide theoretical support for the application of signaling theory and market efficiency theory in the healthcare sector.

Abstract

Workplace accidents continue to be a significant concern in the construction industry, particularly in high-risk activities such as working at height. This study aims to identify hazards and analyze the root causes of human error using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Fishbone Analysis approaches. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method, incorporating interviews, project photo/video observations, and document analysis to gather data. The findings reveal that the main contributing factors to human error include environmental conditions, human behavior, and work methods. Based on these findings, recommendations focus on enhancing supervision, implementing continuous safety training programs, ensuring the availability of ergonomic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and developing simple and effective work procedures. Fishbone Analysis proved to be an effective tool for identifying root causes and assisting in the development of a structured risk control strategy. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to risk management, incorporating both technical and human factors to improve safety standards in construction projects.
